The Quest

"It's a surprise!" Belle chirped. "I told ya I got ya a house warmin gift! Somethin ta make yer house a home!"

Belle stopped again when Clyde said they could do it again. She grinned even wider and looked at Clyde. "Ya mean it? Ya ain't foolin?" She said, batting her eyelashes like a puppy dog. "You know I'll treat ya right, Clyde." Belle said. "I might like ta be rough and fight an make ya ornery, but it'll all be worth it, I promise." Belle purred.

"I thought it was gonna take ya a while before ya realized it, but..." Belle chirped and began skipping again, tugging Clyde along with her. She felt good and now she was ok with getting Clyde's gift, believing that she could do that and then also see him more.

When they arrived at the package pick up place, Belle was handed a large tube and a another piece of cardboard that was thin and looked like it was almost six feet tall and three feet wide. "Ok, this is gonna be real tough ta get home, but I know we can do it tagether!"

Seeing Belle's wide, eager grin, Clyde's eyes widened as he got legitimately worried and felt like maybe, just maybe, Belle jumped to a few conclusions in his statement.

At that moment, while Belle was happily skipping along, Clyde regretted letting Belle hold his hand at the theater. IT wasn't a big deal for him, but obviously it was a big thing for her. The last thing Clyde wanted to do was lead someone on. He knew what that was like. It sucked.

Once Belle came to a stop and grabbed her stuff, Clyde took a deep breath. "Belle. I really 'pprciate your gift..." Whatever it was. "And hangin' out with me but, when I said I'd like ta' do this again I didn't mean like... Well I ain't really interested in relationships right now. He said firmly, closing his eyes after clearing his throat.

"I'm sorry if I led ya on or I didn't really... Uh... Elaborate what I meant." That was the word! "I don't mind us hangin' out... I know ya like me and I think yer really fun, but a gal like you is better off chasin' a guy who's ready and knows what he wants." Said the cowboy as he stared at his boots.

"Heh heh heh"

Belle just grinned once Clyde finished, giggling as though he had said none of what he had. "You'll be ready eventually and when ya finally figger out watcha want, it'll be me." She puffed out her chest victoriously and chuckled again. "I told ya, I'm a patient gal, Clyde, but I ain't losin."

Belle used her free hand to slap Clyde's butt. "Now, git! We gotta get home so's you can see yer gift!"

Clyde's eye twitched as he just stared at Belle for a moment, blinking repeatedly before speaking up. "Did... Did ya hear a lick of what I said?" He asked before sighing as Belle announced her plans and desire to win. It was very flattering, to say the least.

"Yer confidence is somethin' to admire." Muttered Clyde as he pictured him and Belle together before she left him for someone new. His cynical were quickly interuppted as he was suddenly swatted in the butt, ending his chill demeanor as his face went red and he yelped slightly. "H-Hey!" He whined with a flushed face, giving Belle a look before huffing and smirking at the feisty, flirty girl. "Fine." He said as he helped Belle carry... Whatever on earth this was?

"Dang right!" Belle chirped.

Soon they arrived at Clyde's place and after finagling, Everything was in the house. Belle began to pace, swiping her hands along the bare walls. "So, I told ya that this place needs ta feel like a home an I hope that this'll do it." She said. "You can open that up but it ain't really gonna give anythin away." Inside was a very large picture frame.

"Here's the present!" Belle said and began pulling something out of the tube. It was a giant subway poster for the movie Bloodsport" with Jean Claude Van Damme in an action pose and the catch phrase underneath him. In the corner was a small little scribble and bell held up a small piece of paper as she laid out the big poster on the floor.

"Signed by em himself! I even got a certificate of authenticity So there's no foolin! I hope it ain't too big, but I know you Texan's like all yer giant stuff. Heh Heh."

Clyde was almost weary about bringing Belle back to his place but he remembered she found out where she lived so he supposed there was no sense in worrying about what he couldn't help. That being said, Clyde's pad felt like home enough and there was nothing else he felt he needed.

He got the picture frame and looked at quizically at Belle before she pulled out a giant Bloodsport poster from the tube... That showed Jean Claude Van Damme in his signature pose from the movie with... His... Autograph.

Clyde's eyes nearly bulged out his sockets as his jaw suddenly dropped, standing there in front of Belle completely frozen as he tried to process the fact that Belle had given him a giant official poster of Bloodsport that was signed by JCVD himself!

"BELLE~!" Clyde hollered and immediately ran up to Belle to inspect the poster, touching it with his bare hands to feet its glorious material before he turned to the woman who got it for him and practically pounced on her with a big, strong hug!

"Mn! Thank ya, Belle! Thank ya! Thank Ya!" He exclaimed happily as he squeezed the Sooner, overwhelmed with both joy and the kindness Belle had clearly shown!

Belle's eyes lit up when she saw Clyde's reaction. Him brimming with joy over her gift really made her own heart flutter. She felt a little dizzy in a good way. When Clyde came to hug her, Belle squeezed back as tightly as she could. "Mmmmmmm!" She loved to hold his body tightly against hers and she didn't want to let go.

"I'm glad ya like it, Clyde! I thought long an hard bout what ta git ya!" She said while she squeezed. "I think it'll look great fer when people walk in an everyday ya can wake up ta ol J-C-V-D kickin butt and think a me!" The second part was, of course, the most important thing.

"Mmmh!" Clyde grinned and grunted through the tight hug. Returning it with a big sqeuuze of his own as he nestled himself against Belle's comfy, busty body. A hug felt nice.

"Heh.... I uh.... Guess I will think of ya fer this Belle." Clyde said a but shyly before his eyes perked up.

"Belle... How much did this cost ya?'

Belle continued to hug Clyde to try and keep him close, even as he spoke. She continued to smile brightly at his words until he asked how much. Her smile faltered briefly before she forced it up into an even wider grin and then giggled, letting her rumbling chest push against Clyde's.

"Don't think a gentleman's s'pposed ta ask a question like that, Clyde!" She teased and scolded him playfully with a tap on the nose and a wink. In reality, Belle had used a credit card to buy the poster and it had been pretty expensive. If Clyde hadn't liked it, then it would have been fairly devastating. Still, if it kept Clyde close, she'd bankrupt herself. She was used to having to penny pinch anyway. A rancher's life was fulfilling and she didn't want as a child, but she wasn't exactly rolling in money.

Now, as a wrestler, her paychecks weren't exactly anything to write home about. She was lucky enough to weasel her way into two title matches and she'd taken home some bonuses from them that she was somewhat surprised to see and that were now mostly soon to be hanging up on Clyde's wall. She'd have to win a title, or find some card games soon, thanks to that dinner she paid for.

Oh well. What was money compared to what she was getting now?

Belle slipped away from Clyde and turned. She hid her sigh with her body and looked at everything she had bought. "Let's get this sucker hangin!" She declared with a bright grin.

Clyde flushed a bit as he felt Belle's chest rumble against his own before she tapped his nose and teased him, making him smile a bit sheepishly at her before he let go of the cowgirl. Provided she let him.

Her avoidance made him frown a bit. For all her seldom malicious acts, Belle wasn't that bad a girl, but the fact she acted like they were no doubt going to be a couple made him uneasy. She barely knew him and he barely knew her but she already buying him expensive gifts. He understood she liked him but it was a bit much.

Still, maybe this the last time she went overboard but it still was a very nice gift that Clyde liked very much!

"Sure!" Clyde chirped as he grabbed the poster and walked to one end while letting Belle take the other.
