Soft Serve- Chicken!?

Sininen was an unstoppable force of psychotic little girl affection. Ash was swiftly straddled and showered with kisses. "Wh-wha? Friends? When did this happen?" Glancing futilely for some sort of help in prying this little girl off of her, Ash only saw Keltainen. ANOTHER one?!

"W-wait. 'We'? 'Staying'?! What the h...?" She caught herself. Bad form to use the salty language in front of kids, at least outside of a musical context, "What in the blazes?" Trying to wedge an arm around Sininen to roll her off, Ash would try to sit up. "Who ARE you anyway?"

When Cassie finally entered, Ash almost immediately looked to her for help in escaping these psychos.

As Cassie spoke, Ash stared at her in disbelief, trying to understand what she had just said. A few seconds after she finished, realization finally hit, and her face slowly morphed to the sort of scowl that could melt ice. "What?" She hissed. It was obvious that she had heard everything Cassie said.

Cassie met Ash's gaze and quickly her expression became the one a deer would give a pack of hungry wolves. For a moment she stood frozen in place, and when she snapped out of it she began shooing the Finns out of the room with greater urgency.

"Okay, guys, living room." She said firmly. Her cheeks flushed hotly, and she could feel Ash's eyes burning her. When she still didn't get the result she was looking for, she lost it. "Everyone OUT! This is ASH's room! Go sit in the living room while Ash and I talk about you guys!" She grabbed Sin under one arm and pulled her off balance while she dragged her over to the door, using her shoulder to clear Keltainen out of the way. "Go! Gogogo! Make tea or something."

When the girls were gone, Cassie looked back at Ash and flashed her a nervous smile. "Ah, heh. Hi! What's... up...?"

Freed from the assault of the Finns, Ash pulled herself to the edge of the bed, clasping her hands together in her lap, Ash took several deep breaths, counting out triplets in her head to calm down. "Not much..." She replied, slowly, coolly, trying to keep her anger under control. "Just being assaulted by a pack of wild munchkins... You? Made some new friends? Hm?"

"Um, yeah, sorta. I guess." Cassie didn't know what else to do, so after a deep breath she began explaining herself again. "So Sininininin and Keltainen are looking for their cousin Val who's here and a little crazy and doing bad stuff, and they want to get her to stop doing it and go back with them because they're family. See? They're family! We have to help them out, right? Right? A-are you... um are you mad?" She looked pretty mad.

Cassie glanced over her should at the door, as if to make sure it was still there in case she had to make a break for it. "We... could have them pay a share of rent or something, but it might just get paid in candy. Sininen makes candy! Isn't that neat? It's pretty neat. I think it's neat. So... what're ya thinkin'?"

Ash crossed her legs and rested her head on her fist. "Oh, oh this other cousin is the crazy one? Right. Right."

Ash sighed. There was no escaping it, was there? If the girls back home knew who she was rooming with, she would NEVER hear the end of it.

"Why do we have to help them out?" Ash sighed. Candy. There was something strange about the little candy girl. Ash did not quite remember what had happened last time they met but she did not like it all the same. "I'm not mad..." Ash said through grit teeth. "Just... upset..."

"Okaay...." It was a better reaction than she was expecting. Cassie silently sat down on the bed next to Ash. "Well, they're family. What's more important than family? I have to help them because I know I'd want them to help me if I needed help getting back to my family, so... I was hoping that you would agree to let them stay here for a while. Just while they, we, find Val and all that. Um..."

Cassie looked at her hands, then at Ash's hands. "Do you have... family? You haven't really mentioned where you came from and stuff. I know not everyone has like a... together family, but that's okay. If we're living together, we might as well be family too. See?" Cassie was too nervous to look Ash in the eye. She didn't know much about her, but that really didn't matter to her. In her mind she was already her big sister.

Ash grimaced, "Help them, yes. We can always give them the number of a good hotel and let them into Friction on our passes and stuff..." Ash sighed, "I got some folks back home. We keep in touch. Kinda... had a falling out with my second family... my band. Those folks I don't quite talk to." Ash folded her arms and gave a resigned sigh, "Fine fine fine whatever. I can deal. We can let them stay, I guess. Can we at least make them pay REAL money? Surely they can write mommy and daddy for a check or something..."

Cassie didn't say anything. She just looked at Ash with a kind of sly, knowing smile, and then gave her a hug and bounded out of the room.

"She said yes, guys! But, we'll have to talk about the... arrangement. And stuff. Like, do you have money, like to chip in for rent? And I know there's not much to clean since we don't really have anything, but ya know..." Cassie went into the living room and plopped down on the mats in the corner where she usually slept. She couldn't help but smile.

After the Fins were unceremoniously tossed from Ash's room, they did the only reasonable thing they could think of and began rummaging through the kitchen. They began pulling things out of draws and fromt he fridge. Extracting pots and pans and anything that was available to them.

"Make make!" Sininen called out as she began to pour things into a pot. "They don't, they don't know anything about good food!" She exclaimed. "Yeaaaaaah." Keltainen said as she inspected the fridge. Hoooow can theeeeey survive on thiiiis, hm?" She questioned back.

Regardless, the two started fixing up some food and soon a rather pleasant aroma began to come from the kitchen. After a while, Keltainen left on Sininen's instructions to go get some more food. When Cassie came back, Sininen turned around and eyed her. She grinned. "CassCass!" She said and hopped over to where Cassie was.

"KelKel said to give you, said to give you this." She said and handed Cassie a wad of paper money. "I guess, I guess it's for the rent. I hope it's enough!" She then grinned. "She went to the store. Your supplies, your supplies were very lacking. It's hard to cook with what I found but I'll manage!" She then bounded back towards the kitchen and stirred a pot. The wad of money she had tossed at Cassie would be enough to cover the entire month's rent for at least a few months all by itself.

Cassie followed her nose to the kitchen. It'd been a while since anything had really been cooked in there, aside from boiling oats and baking chicken. Maybe having the Finns around would have it's benefits to them as well.

"I see you found the kitchen." She said. She was very observant. "Um, what're ya makin'? Smells good, eh." She tried not to sound surprised.

She caught the lump of money and raised an eyebrow at it. It seemed... big. She had no idea how much was there, but she didn't want to count it in front of people, that was impolite, so she pocketed it for later. Maybe it'd be grocery money. She pulled out one of the stools at the little center island and sat down to watch Sin cook.

"Aaaash!" She called down the hall. "Come hang out! Don't make me use your full name. I'm feeling feisty, I'll do it."
