So, I saw Mad Max: Fury Road last night...

I'll copy/paste what I said to you earlier in YIM:

You'll generally understand Max's character individually better if you've seen the others, but you don't necessarily have to to understand this movie or the plot.

The movie's not even really about Max all that much. It's much more about Furiosa.

Nah. But you could watch 2 just cause it's pretty good.

Honestly, their were three themes that were presented in the series.  (Going with MM, TRW, and BT)  They were as follow:

-Revenge (Mad Max)
-Salvation (The Road Warrior)
-Redemption (Beyond Thunderdome)

So if anything, Fury Road may explain what helped set his path to salvation.  The second movie had a narration to it and the third one had a small narration part at the end if I remember correctly.

All of them were really good since they focused on his path to becoming whole again as a human.
