Royal Rumble?

Hi,

As I have a promo with Alexandra atm, I was thinking about something exciting like Elimination Chamber in which she did not take place and came up with the idea of a Royal Rumble. I have no mod approval for this right now but would like to know who would take place in something like that and list them here.

How do I know when I am called in?

Who?
Any friction and tension wrestler.

How?
*Alexandra and another person(chosen randomly by me) start at Nr. 1 and 2.
*The next participant enters after 5 posts(In EC it were 10 Posts and 6 participants, reaching 100+ posts atm). Again randomly determined by me.
*When you donâ€

t post within 1 week without posting that you will be away, youâ€

re out and count as eliminated from the last person you had contact with, or get thrown out like A-Ry (eliminating yourself cause you canâ€

t wrestle, with fitting chant from the crowd) , or really quick like a jobber after you entered.
*Only one wrestler per person.

Why?
Mix some people in a ring who for whatever reason did not wrestle the other, help out the people who have trouble with writing and want to learn something from the in-ring action happening. For the others another trinket to put on a wall of trophies. And see general reason why to do something like this.

For what?
Bragging rights.
I will make a list of who entered and who was eliminated when, like in the real Royal Rumble.

While the Rumble is without a doubt my favourite thing in wrestling ever. The problem's going to be much like the Elimination chamber in that there's going to be to many people in there at once, and it will get really confusing.

Added to that if people just don't want to lose, it'll just fall apart unless they get bitchslapped by a mod to do it.

You'll need a timeline to be discussed with all the participants, who comes in when and who gets eliminated when before hand. It's a fun idea, I just don't see there being much practicality in it.

A timeline would practically break the chances of the first who enter, but I see the potential problem.

How about that:
*Add in a Commentator that throws people out when they don't sell("OMG, wrestler X has been eliminated after such a strong showing! One careless moment, and now she's gone!") or don't go out when they would go out like being ganged upon with 3+ wrestlers who are Nr. 15, 19 and 24 while you are Nr 4. I could also add 2 vounteer judges so that it would not look like playing favorite with someone?

I've already considered doing a Royale Rumble.

You need it to be tighter than what you have it already. As it's structured atm, it will fail.

Tighter? Can you elaborate that please?

If I go with a timeline, the match would be like a bad theatre play(concluding that no one is a professional actor here) with a chorus that sings about fishes while an enterprising Odysseus vs Achilles vs Ajax vs Hector takes place in the ring.

Maybe group people? Say there are 30 participants like in the regular rumble, and people are grouped into teams of 3 that do battle when they are in the ring together? When there is only one member of a group left, he goes up or down a group, depending who is left. That would make it into a combined triple thread match up to a certain point.

And add a theme in discussion where groups are renewed and people are told again that they are out and why they are out.

I hope I could join it hell I dont need any of my magic I will fight it straight out like most matches I been with that didnt force me to have extra power. If I'm thrown out I know it is over for me, but I know I probbly won't win it.

this sounds like it could be interesting, if you guys figure out exactly how to do this I'd like to join, not sure who I'd pick yet since it depends on when this starts and which of my characters needs something to do.

If I were doing a rumble, I would conduct it like a dance off.

I thought about having people enter at a set number of posts, but you are dooming yourself to have it go to the point where you are, basically ONLY letting people in, as the number of participants grows, the amount of time that any one wrestler has to accomplish anything significant reduces exponentially.

Giving someone a week to not post is inviting them to TAKE IT. Then your rumble grinds to a halt and then it was ruined, i.e. the elimination chamber which is STILL going on.

If I were running the rumble, I would not participate and act as the rumble moderator. I would pm the people who were going to enter next and inform them to enter WHEN IT FELT APPROPRIATE. If that means one post after the last person or ten, then so be it. Seeing as this is a rumble, we would have to assume that page count should have basically no back end on it. Something unfortunate, but something that we would have no choice in doing.

Then, as wrestlers come in, I would set it up so that people are eliminated when it SEEMS LIKE THEY SHOULD BE.

I would make it perfectly clear that there would be some level of godmoding.

As in, if a moderator has pegged you for elimination YOU WILL BE ELIMINATED. And there will be no griping nor questions asked.

How that would work is, I would send a pm to the person, or persons who would do the eliminating and they would be allowed to write a post in which they eliminate the wrestler who is up for elimination with the eliminator getting free reign to eliminate the eliminatee however they desire.

Example:

Angel and Ise are wrestling and Ise has been pegged for elimination. I pm Alex and tell him to eliminate Ise. Alex writes a post that says:

Angel grabs Ise by the wrist, Irish whips her into the ropes and rushes after her and clotheslines her over the top rope, eliminating Ise.

And you would accept that as Ise being eliminated without whining or bitching or anything of the sort because it has been CLEARLY STATED IN THE RULES that it would be like that.

WHY would I eliminate someone?

Inactivity. Basically, if I saw someone wasn't posting, then I would "tap them on the shoulder" and send out a PM to have them eliminated. I am certainly not going to wait a week.

Unenthusiastic. Joining a rumble is serious business. If you're not putting your heart into it, let someone else step up. This doesn't mean you can't try and "Ric Flair" your way to victory, but those posts of you pretending to be injured in the corner better be FUCKING AMAZING.

Your time has come. Even if you're being a super amazing poster, if you've been almost thrown out like 5 times, you may just get tapped on the shoulder for #6.

I would also say that the wrestlers can, of course, eliminate each other without the moderator's assistance.

You may even need to eliminate people just to ... clean things up a bit. If there gets to be too many people, then randomly (or looking through people's postings) pick someone and have them eliminated.

I've put a lot of thought into this. It's not something that can be done on a whim. Nor is it something that can be done without everyone involved REALLY UNDERSTANDING what it is going to be. People can't go into the rumble with the same attitude they do in other matches. They have to leave their feelings at the door and not get butthurt when they get eliminated. You also have to constantly keep watch on it.

I WANT one to happen and for it to be successful, but it is not as easy as just... setting it up.
