Champion's Gathering

Akashi raised her eyebrow at Angel. "Well, they offer those checks to almost anyone though." She said. "It's not like they are that big at first. It's room and board and barely enough to survive. You don't start making the good money until you earn it like me!" Akashi puffed out her chest. She was wealthy beyond her wildest dreams. She had more money than she could ever spend but she didn't even feel like she was rich. She would probably always live pretty austerely. It was just in her nature. AFW was never about the money for Akashi anyway.

Akashi then turned and looked at Angel dryly. "No?" She said. "It would suck if it wasn't. Stop being a gaijin. The world doesn't revolve around the west, you know." She said, teasing Angel. "Hawaii... I didn't have such a good time there." She said, sighing. Akashi beamed a little though. "Well, it would be nice to travel more though, yes. You do get to do that as champ though." She added, smiling again.

Angel shrugged at Akashi. "And you think I haven't earned it? I'm not some wet behind the ears newcomer, silly sumo," she gently teased. "I'm getting paid quite a bit more than a rookie paycheck, chica."

She smiled at Akashi, scooting even closer towards the woman, and rolling her eyes. "Never said it did, silly. I'm just saying. It'd be fun to get out and fight in other places sometime." She then grinned at Akashi, nudging her gently with her elbow. "Aw, you didn't like Hawaii? What's wrong, didn't like getting schooled by that teacher?"

"I'm saying you didn't earn it when you first showed up. Anyone who comes here for that initial paycheck... I dunno." Akashi said and shrugged. "I guess if you have stars in your eyes, it's possible to make it but you and I are actually int he minority with our success. How many hundreds of girls work here? No one has a clue who they even are. I mean. I see new faces every day and I'm shocked when they have been here for months or years!"

Akashi then frowned when Angel teased her about Hawaii. "I didn't like the dumb match with the dumb rules against that dumb sensei! I kicked her ass the whole time and STILL lost!" She growled. "How is that right!?" Akashi then grinned. "Well, I showed her in our rematch though!" She beamed proudly, puffing out her chest.

Angel flashed Akashi a grin in return, nudging her with her elbow again. "Doesn't matter if you kicked her ass or not, silly. That wasn't what the match was about and you know it!" She shook her head though afterwards. "And besides, dumb rules? Dumb match? You weren't the one stuck in some stupid smother match against some absolute nobody. I should have just no-showed the damn match. It's been almost a year and I'm still upset about it."

"But that's not the point," she continued on. "The point is, it doesn't matter if you showed her in a rematch or not. You two are still tied, right?" She reached over, the Latina gently poking the sumo in her pushed out chest with one finger. "You might have kicked her ass once but do you think you could do it again...?"

Akashi narrowed her eyes and looked down at Angel as her boob was poked. "Yes." She said matter-of-factly. "I kicked her ass pretty badly once and one. I did it once and lost. It will happen again if we fight. I'll kick her ass. And then, I'll win. I'm not going to fight her in some dumb stipulation match!"

Akashi shook her head. "I don't even know why you're teasing me about it. I'm not even worried about her. Aside from that, when we become the tag team champs, then it won't even matter anymore." Akashi paused. "Well.. it might matter in a different way. I will have to kick her off the team so we may still have to fight." Akashi shrugged. "I'll deal witht hat when it comes. I'm not really worried." She said waving her hand. "You know, it's not like you are undefeated. You don't see me bringing up your losses!"

Angel settled back onto the couch again, giving the mighty sumo an innocent shrug. "You're the one that said you didn't like Hawaii. I'm just messing around with you, chica." She tilted her head towards Akashi with an innocent smile. "You seem really worked up about it though. If you're so confident that you could beat her again, you should lighten up some, you know? It's enough to make a girl think you're bitter about it." She teased again, meeting Akashi's gaze once more.

"Besiiiides," she continued on. "I never said I wasn't undefeated. I know when I've lost and I've gotten over it." She waved a hand flippantly, then gesturing towards her belt. "I'd say I've more than gotten over it, actually. Not like it really matters anyway. I've never gotten as worked up about a loss before as you have about that silly teacher!"

"I'm not worked up!" Akashi retorted immediately." Believe me, I was more than satisfied with beating her ass the second time. You're the one who brought up Hawaii! It was dumb but it's not like that match haunts me." Akashi sighed. "Believe me, I've had matches affect me and the only thing about that match that has stuck with me is the baka sensei herself! For some reason she won't just stay out of my LIFE! Other than that, I don't care about her or that loss one bit on any other day." She said with a serious tone."You can't tell me you've never had a loss that didn't stick with you a little bit." She said, looking at Angel.

Angel looked away from Akashi and sighed. "Fine. I've had one single loss that's bothered me. That was the match against Adrian in the Temple Games last year. The only reason she won that is because she's a damn little cheater, that's all. I had that match. I was kicking her ass all over the place. She only won because she pulled out that goddamn mist on me."

She kept looking away, her face twisting into an annoyed, almost angry look as she remembered that match. "It was so stupid. I had her sorry ass right where I wanted it and she totally stole that win away from me. That bitch is lucky I didn't chase her down and kick her ass backstage afterwards." She shook her head, glancing back at Akashi. "It doesn't matter though. I ended up winning the Temple Games in the end anyway, and that was the important part, right?"

"I think so?" Akashi said. "It got you where you are, i think,." She said, scratching her head. She didn't really know for sure. She wasn't very hyped up to talk about the Temple Games with how poorly her team of veritable all-stars fared. It wasn't even really HER fault either. "She pulled the same crap with me in our tag match." Akashi said furrowing her brow. She then turned her head tot he side and giggled. "Well, I think I got the last laugh though.' She said and lowered her head. "D-Don't tell anyone about this. She'd be way mad at me if I fif... but ..." Akashi grinned, giggling like an idiot.

"I fucked her." She giggled again. "Adrian Kytes... I fucked her. I don't know how I managed it, but I got her in the sack! I think that's way better than a win in a match in my book!" She then nudged Angel. "Well, I guess you can kick her ass at Avalanche, right?"

Angel burst into a giggle of her own. "You fucked her? That obnoxious little twerp? Really?!" She felt like a gossiping schoolgirl, exactly the kind of person she hated when she was younger, but she didn't care. She was slightly drunk and really exhausted and this was too good to not laugh about. "How the hell did you pull that off? I need details, sumo!" She giggled again, nudging Akashi back. "She was a screamer, wasn't she? I bet you anything she was a total screamer!"

She shook her head, a big silly grin plastered across her face. "Wait, Avalanche? Why would I be kicking her ass at Avalanche? I'm not going to fight that little sneak at Avalanche. Like I would ever waste my time giving her a shot at a belt she doesn't deserve. You must be crazy if you think that, sumo!"
