Lu Zhou Yi vs. Nikolette Tessla

Nikolette smiled as Yi took her stance. She shruged her shoulders and bounced on her heels before runnign at Yi. Instead of throwing a punch, she just charged at the Chinese girl, simply trying to bowl her over, keeping her guard up to try and keep Yi's attack from connecting, if she made one.

Yi stumbled as Nikolette charged, seemingly not needing any help in being knocked over. Her left foot crossed right and now it seemed her back is all that faced Nikolette. Just prior the two were meant to collide, Yi's weight shifted fully onto her left foot as her right lifted from the floor. A twist of her body sent her right heel into a spinning back roundhouse under Nik's guard and into her abdomen. It was as though the daze had cleared away instantly, or perhaps it had cleared away earlier and the Chinese woman had not let on to this development. The heel would land against something with a snap and be brought back so that she stood as a crane in shallow water.

Narrow maroon eyes focused on their target as that right leg was sent out for a second attack, this one more thrusting than the original snap. Where the first had been only enough to shock and awe with speed, this one was slower, but held the full weight of her body pushing behind it. If the first landed, Yi knew most fighters would have been startled enough to leave them open to another attack. If the second one landed, Yi was very confident that it would knock the mechanic to the ground.

Nikolette charged forward, intent on bowling Yi over. She knew she wasn;'t technically savvy but also knew that sometimes s good amount of force could go a long way. As she saw the flash from Yi's foot, she turned her body to throw the shoulder block and absorb the brunt of the kick. She kick slammed into her side and delfected her slightly, but she had enough momnentum to continue plowing towards Yi, hoping to get close enough to reduce her ability to initiate the scond kick, if not plow into her andknock her down.

The second kick would find a home in Nikolette's stomach moments before it was meant to find a home there. The chinese woman couldn't extend her kick as she had intended, and apparently out of desperation, reached out to grasp as much of Nikolette's clothes as she could manage, managing to hook her fingers around the shoulder straps, and hopefully somehow slow her fall.

The key to Yi's technique was versatility, as the kick had been intended to be delivered standing up, but now that she fell backwards, once her back landed into the mat, she'd have something new to use as her force, and could end up kicking upwards into Nikolette's gut as Nikolette tackled down upon her. If all the pieces fell into place, Nikolette's momentum combined with the historian's guidance would send Nikolette flying flipping through the air, possibly to land on her head, and Yi would be able to get up with minor back pain. Still no handcuffs yet, though.

Nikolette grunted as she felt Yi's foot push into her gut. As they lost their balance, she saw her overalls grabbed and she could guess what was coming next. She braced by attempting to make herself as aerodynamic as possible. She wanted to make sure she was sent sailing and thrown as painless as possible. She stuck her arms out so she could brace herself. though she would still land on her back, she could at least try and escape Yi better with this semi hand stand maneuver.

As Nikolette careened through the air with the greatest of ease, Yi took a moment to reorient her world. Twice now she had been slammed jarringly, and for the second time she decided she'd need to rework her strategy. With the well earned reassuring thud of the other girl slamming into the mat, the Chinese woman took a deep breath and was again on her feet, locating her quarry and came upon her new plan. Trading blows was not going to work against the Serbian. Just getting cuffs and putting them on her wouldn't work either, the Serbian was obviously stronger. What were her remaining options? Run screaming like a little girl? Didn't look too bad at this very moment.

Nikolette hit the ground with a a thud and grunted as she was jarred. She was slower to get up than Yi, but made sure to get up facing the Chinese woman. "Geeze..." She said with a smile, keeping her hands up. "Up an down, up an down. Gonna get real tirin after a while don't ya think?" She said with a huff as she backed away from Yi a little to collect herself.

Being up for a while ahead of the Serbian had given Yi a slight advantage. As the mechanic turned to face Yi, she spotted her opening, and knew that very opening would be fast closing. Time for her old shipyard style. She charged the distance between them with long strides, making sure her right foot would land on Nikolette's knee as she was crouching and complaining. A light push off of her right leg made certain Nikolette would stay relatively put as Yi began to let her body fall backwards. In the process, her right arm would hook around Nikolette's neck and pull her onto her back. It wasn't Yi's strength that would carry this attack out, but the momentum she had gained in her charge.

This was her Falling Wizard technique. If it landed properly, Nikolette would be slammed onto her back once again, only now Yi would have the advantage of working towards a choke hold in the next few moments.

Nikolette 3was caught off guard with her bit of bloviating and grimmaced as Yi charged at her. She braced for impact but found that what she thought she was getting was not to be so. Instead Yi climbed up her and grabbed her by the head and slammed her onto her back. She grunted from the move. and was stunned momentarily.

Yi knew her time was limited, and that it must be utilized efficiently. Her right arm around the Serbian's neck did not leave its mark, and wrapped a little tighter so as to lift the mechanic up from the map. The sailor would then wrap her legs up and around the mechanic's left arm as a dexterous left arm searched for Nikolette's right. It wasn't much of a hold, but Yi knew that her legs simply had to be stronger than Nikolette's left arm, that her arm was stronger than her opponent's neck, and that hopefully holding her opponent's right arm far enough behind their back that the Serbian would not be able to apply her full strength. The Chinese woman hoped that the competition between their strength in this fashion would sap Nikolette's faster than her own.
