Muse Music?

So, while I was makin' one of my newest characters, I had an idea for a discussion thread that I thought could be a bit interesting, and could help delve into the creative process some of us use for our characters. The idea I had is for us to talk about the music that we possibly listen to while we are making our characters. Now I know there are people who could possibly not listin' to music while making a character, as they work better in silence, I know for the most part that I do as well, or people who listen to music as background noise to clear there minds. Those are both fair, and I understand that completely, but I feel that even in those two examples, there is still a song, or songs you can talk about, that could still possibly contribute to one portion of your character.

So for this, I'm asking that you list the song/songs that you could possibly have listened to while making your character, or possibly thought off while making certain parts of your characters personality or history, etc. After you've said or listed the songs that might have helped you with some aspects of your character, you can then maybe tell us why the song might have helped you. I know for me, I normally see my character doing/preforming acts that relate to the song in some way, so it helps to play out emotions or history in certain aspects for my girls...But I'm rambling now x.x I'll get to my example, and then post this long dribble.

I'll start out recent, and pick songs that I used for my character Savannah, and for the sake of this already long post, and the fact that I possibly rambled on a bit to much there, I'll only go with one song for now, her entrance theme.

For the first one, I'll go with the song, I love this bar - by Toby Keith.

Now I have a really simple reason as to why I picked this song, and that was it just felt right for the character I wanted her to be. I wanted her to be country girl, I wanted her to be a drunkard, and I wanted her to be a totally different girl at parties, and I feel this song fits all three of those perfectly. And on top of all that, I could honestly see Savannah singing this in a bar if it came on, with her shirt off, swinging it around in one hand, and a mug of beer in the other, while she sways on the dance floor.

Phew...That was a long drawn out post, I'm sorry if it feels abit rambly, or strange, I'm still kinda new to this whole thing, so I hope you can forgive me for that for a little while. Anyway! I hope to see some cool responses, and see some other peoples examples of this for there characters!

I have a shuffle-all mix playlist that just has what have you on Spotify. Otherwise I tend to listen to the entrance theme of the character or iTunes shuffle-all while I'm making them.
