Wayward Souls

Even if Emily had come out straight and told Tatyina that she honestly only cared enough to use her to get some training in, Tatyina still would have graciously accepted that offer. She didn't think it was naivety but rather who due diligence.

"Of course, Emily-ue." Tatyina said and bowed slightly. "We can begin anytime you like. I suppose that we should go to the gym that this company owns that's open to the public. It's right nearby the complex." Tatyina then looked away nervously. "Are you not going to try and stay with your Aunt?" She asked, wondering why Allison wouldn't offer her niece a place to stay at least. "Can I assist you in finding a place to stay, Emily-ue?" She offered, as her eyes widened hopefully.

She tried not to, but Emily still cast one last look over her shoulder at Allison before she disappeared entirely from view. She longed to run after her and beg her to let her live with her. It was as if everything she'd wanted for so long was just walking right back out of her life, and she'd only just caught up with it.

But she knew that to get what she wanted she had to act like an adult. She had to grow up until she was tall enough to reach her lofty goals. And just what were those goals, exactly? She... didn't know for sure. But she did know that she didn't want to be like her mother, that petty, bland, harsh, ugly woman. She wanted to be something that her mother couldn't teach her to be. She wanted someone to show her what to do, because really she hadn't flown all the way to Japan because she had a plan. She did it because she had not the faintest idea of what to do next.

She forced a smile, a tight, polite smile, for Tatyina. "I'm quite sure she doesn't need me mucking about in her affairs. She's not a boarding house. I'm sure I'll be quite alright, I think. Um..." She paused. Her eyes wandered back up the hall the way they'd come. "D'you want to return to the show? I'd... quite like to see the other matches, I think. As long as they're not those kind."
