Ingrid pounded the mud with her fist when the choke was applied. She bit her lip so hard that it bled, the sharp pain helping to offset the searing pain in her leg. "With Balder's strength I defy thee!"

Kumi didn't really know what to say to that, simply grunting as she kept trying to pull the hold on. Her small tight muscles bulged in effort, and she was pleased to see how much it seemed to be affecting the barbarian, but if she didn't start to weaken soon she'd have to break the lock and roll to what she hoped was safety.

Ingrid remained stoic, not letting the pain get to her. But even with her hard resistance, she felt fatigue setting in. Slowly the life drained from her and her tense muscles relaxed. Her breathing slowed and she tried hard to keep herself from shutting off. She knew she wouldn't submit and also knew she couldn't even if she did want to. She hoped by relaxing, Okumi would give up the hold.

Kumi grunted a bit in disappointment, letting the hold go and trying to release her in a way that would land her back in the mud, rolling to a few pace away in a readied stance on her feet and one hand, almost like an olympic runner. "I see it will take much of my skill to break you, she-beast," Kumi said like she meant it as a compliment.

Ingrid grunted as she was thrown onto her back. She laid there and panted, grinning at Okumi's words. "All of your strength." She as she stood up. She took her own fighting stance. "Even then it won't be enough! Raaaaaah!" She charged forward, lowering her body as though she were going to bowl over Kumi.

Okumi braced herself readily, smiling at the last moment Ingrid could see her before she leapt up, trying to use her opponent's low position to try and leapfrog over her head, trying to grab her chin at the same time and hopefully flip or at least trip her over again, if the force was enough for the barbaric girl.

Ingrid's eyes widened as Okumi leapt up, intending to leapfrog her. She felt the muddy hands on her chin and reached out to grab an ankle. It was the least she could do as she was slammed back down onto her back. She tried her best just to hold onto Okumi's ankle with both legs, hoping she could regroup while she tried to roll onto her stomach and get to a better position.

Okumi grunted in surprised effort as Ingrid clutched her leg, realizing quickly that the tank of a woman was not one to allow a tight grip. She tried to jerk her leg free , throwing a straight kick at her face if she didn't let go, but otherwise unable to wriggle free

Ingrid grunted as she took the kick to the head and letting go of the samurai as she tried to back away and get to her feet. All the mud and the toughness of the fight was weighing her down. she needed to get away but first had to collect herself.

Okumi was eager to put some distance between them, catching her own breath as she eyed the mud-smeared berserker. The muck made her a bit intimidating, but Kumi wouldn't let herself have her fighting hindered by it. "I am ready, my worthy opponent. As you are ready," she assured, taking a stance ready to counter once again.
