Zebra Woman under fire: Vegetables don't get you far!

A FEW DAYS AFTER THE PROMO

Zebra Woman had been fiddling with her fingers, her nervous glance looking at the man behind the table. She had been called into the office of the promotions manager, who had asked for an urgent meeting with her. However, after she had arrived, the man didn't seem to be in much of a hurry. His black hair, with some streaks of grey, and spectacles that hid his eyes, looked down at the sheets of paper on his desk, and then at the computer screen where he typed something. The room was small, almost stuffy, there was a single light on illuminating the room. The ceiling fan quietly blew wind down on both of them, as the oak furniture that decorated the room quietly creaked as the humans in the room shifted themselves about in their seats. It was an awkward silence before Zebra decided to break the silence.

"You, wanted to talk to me?"

The manager looked up at her from behind his spectacles with a nonplussed look. "Indeed, I did. That little stunt you got into a few days back." Zebra raised her arms, pleading, "I-I don't know who she was! I've never seen her befor-" the manager raised his hand, signalling her to stop, before saying, "I am well aware. But we're not upset." The man's face didn't betray this fact at all. "In fact, upper management is glad this happened. I'm not, but I don't have much say here on this. So listen up." Zebra leaned forward in her seat, wondering what the situation was.

"Upper seating says they would like to...provide some enhancements to you to deal with. Based off that little fiasco Maria Cacti caused, they are willing to capitalize off the momentum she has caused, and your name is right on the front page of that thanks to her." Zebra gulped on hearing that. "So you're gonna be dealing with several freelancers we have hired before as enhancers for our talents, and you're gonna be dealing with them in the coming 2 weeks. You'll have 5 of these enhancer shows." Zebra Woman shrugged nervously, as she said, "Um...well, I believe I can...handle that?"

She had a bad feeling about this.

Match 1: Zebra Woman vs Carla “Oasis” Yashim

Carla “Oasis” Yashim:

The two weeks went by as Zebra Woman was in the middle of a match with her first enhancement talent. She was Carla Yashim but went by the ring name of Oasis. She was wrestling in terms of her parole after some illegal events she had done in the past. However, this was the prison’s way of bringing her back to a civilized society.

Carla had Zebra Woman on the ropes as she was punching Zebra Woman with some good strikes. It was going on normally until Maria Cacti came running down to the ring, holding something in her hand. It seemed to be toy handcuffs that come apart of a police officer costume. She was yelling at Zebra Woman to use the handcuffs.

Yeah, she had guessed this was how it was going to go. No way they were going to give her any enhancement that was going to be a cakewalk.

So far, Oasis had practically been punching, bashing, and clocking Zebra Woman all across her upper body and face the whole match. The crowd had been cheering on her destruction the whole match, as Oasis had slobberknocked Zebra into the ring ropes, and punching Zebra across her face and the stomach. She did some flails to try to get Oasis to back off, but Oasis had deftly dodged them, continuing to work all over the body, before a hard punch that caused Zebra to turn around, her back to Oasis as she hung on the ropes. That was until the audience caused a mass of commotion that caught her attention, and then saw why.

Maria's little form came running down the ramp! And she was holding toy handcuffs. Why was she holding toy handcuffs exactly? Not sure but Oasis didnt give a shit as another punch from her knocked Zebra down to the mat, just as Maria came up, holding the handcuffs and yelling at Zebra to use them. One of Zebra's arms slipped out from the ropes, and Maria's handcuffs accidentally clicked and closed around her wrist. Zebra snapped up, looking at her wrist, the sudden jerk of the action causing the other cuff to accidentally lock in around the ring ropes. Zebra had just screwed herself!

"WHAT THE FU-"

Maria panicked when she accidentally handcuffed her “friend” to the ring ropes and immediately tried to unlock the handcuffs with the toy key. Oasis actually caught wind of what was going on in and out of the ring and allowed Maria to help Zebra Woman unlock the handcuffs. She was just waiting for her opportunity.

Maria eventually unlocked the toy handcuff and she raised her arms in the air in the small victory. However, she wasn’t paying attention as Oasis then took this opportunity to grab Zebra Woman and pull her away from to ropes in order to then handcuff Zebra Woman again, this time cuffing Zebra Woman’s wrists together. Oasis then made a motion of pulling out a shank with her thumb before hitting Zebra Woman with a Samoan Spike. Once she landed that, Oasis went for the cover.

Zebra pleaded as Maria tried to unlock the cuffs. "Hurry hurry hurry hurry-" she begged as the audience laughed at the display of comedy here. As the cuffs got opened and Maria did her little victory pose, Zebra had a moment to breathe a sigh of relief...before Oasis grabbed Zebra Woman, pulled her up to standing, and then cuffed the wrist cuffs to herself, chaining both together. Zebra saw this and immediately realized "Aw-"

Oasis gave a quick taunt before throwing her in for a Samoan Spike! "SSSSHI-" -WHAMO-

Zebra sat up after the Spike, gave out a goofy laugh, before collapsing on the mat. Oasis went for the cover!

Oasis won by pinfall!

As Zebra regained consciousness and looked at Oasis parading around the ring, the laughing, cheering, and jeering audiences, her eyes fell on Maria's just barely visible form outside the ring. The first thought that came to her mind was,

"These next few weeks are about to suck even harder, aren't they?"

Maria watched what happened in the ring and saw Zebra Woman get hit with a Samoan Spike before getting pinned. She winced when she saw Zebra Woman look at her as she then quietly apologized to her before leaving. This was not a good way to get on Zebra Woman’s good terms.

Match Two: Zebra Woman vs Olaya Heidrich

Olaya Heidrich:

Olaya was a hockey fanatic with being from a state that wouldn’t be considered a hockey area, the home state of Dallas, Texas. She always wears the Stars’ home jersey every time she wrestles and by God she can fight like those men on the ice.

But currently, she was laying on the floor in the ring with Zebra Woman attempting to go for an aerial move to end her opponent right there and then. Suddenly, Maria came running down to the ring in order to “help” Zebra Woman in this match. She would try to get up onto the ring and hold the ropes steady so that Zebra Woman was able to leap off of them safely. However, within her struggle, she would unknowingly shake the ropes.

At least this time things were slightly looking up.

Zebras match against Olaya had started off rather roughly; like with most fighters she ran into, Olaya could outspeed her. But during this, Olaya got unlucky as Zebra had managed to land a spear tackle and floor her, before laying into her face with several punches, which it seemed was all she needed to get winded. Zebra was slow but she hit like a truck.

As Zebra used the moment to quickly clamber on top of a top ropes, and ready for a jump, she wobbled ever so lightly due to the all the damage pains from earlier, but she found her firm footing. This, was immediately ruined as a familiar shorty ran up to the ring, and Zebras eyes caught wind of her as a ruckus in the audience started. One word went through her skull; AGAIN??

Maria, in her good intentions, tried to steady the ropes for Zebra to help keep her stability. Unfortunately, as they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions and Maria accidentally caused the ropes to wobble just a little too much, causing Zebras footing to slip, as she fell, her crotch landing right on the little piece that connected the turnbuckle to the corner post. "OOOOOOH" echoed through the arena followed by laughter.

As if that wasn't bad enough, Zebra tilted forward, trying to get off, and clumsily fell on her face! Her whole body got folded up and it seemed like she was already mostly out of it!

Olaya would see that Maria accidentally helped her lut by knocking Zebra Woman off the top rope and put her in the daze. She immediately got out of the way from the fall of Zebra Woman before she got up. Once her opponent was up, Olaya would grab her and throw her into the corner.

Once Olaya was in the corner, she ran at her and delivered a European Uppercut. She kept on doing this until she grabbed the arm of Zebra Woman, pulled her in, manage to lift her up off the floor, and then hitting her with a pop-up European Uppercut. Olaya then hooked the leg of Zebra Woman as the referee got down and started the pin count.

Surely enough, Zebra Woman had struck yet another bad luck karat as the unfortunate situation of Maria's interference had left her wide open for Olaya. And what a window of opportunity taken it was! Olaya showed off her European pugilist skills via repeatedly delivering European uppercuts to Zebra, beating her like a malfunctioning toaster in the corner, where the 6th one in a row caused her to fall down, before getting pulled up for the biggest European Uppercut Olaya had given that night!

So hard and mighty it was delivered that Zebra stumbled back, bounced off the turnbuckle, dazedly stumbled forward, before letting out a goofy laugh and collapsing. And that was pinfall time for her, as Olaya won this battle, erupting cheers from the audience and jeers at Zebra.

Zebra was way too dazed to actually respond or even register anything. A single thing was going through her mind are that moment, as she realized there were more coming weeks for her to have to "enhance" herself;

Please for the love of God, don't let Maria onto the ring.

Match Three: Zebra Woman vs Tae Kwan-Ji

Tae Kwan-Ji:

Tae was actually voted to come face off against Zebra. She is very prideful for her home nation, North Korea. She’s also very emotionless, only to show emotion towards her glorious leader. Tae was also very strong in terms of strength so she was pretty much pound for pound with Zebra Woman.

Both stars would be going at it with some punches with Zebra getting the upper hand against the North Korean. That was when Maria came down to the ring and she had Pom Pom’s on her hands. She was also wearing a Dallas Stars jersey, must be a gift from Olaya for helping her out in her match, and would be cheering on Zebra Woman. It was also very distracting for Zebra Woman as Maria was making a scene.
