DING! DING! DING!

And just like that, Dirk had...won? He rolled off of Erina's body and laid on his back and looked at the lights up above. Float On by Modest Mouse played throughout the arena as he just laid there. Though a victory had been claimed, he felt a little unsure of himself. He sat up and looked at Erina as she was being checked on by the referee. He started to worry a little for her well being. Was he too intense with his opponent? Or was something going on with Erina?

It was then that Erina tapped on his shoulder to let him know that she was still kicking. Which was great. But, it still worried him about his condition.

With a grunt of extertion, Dirk pushed himself off of the mat and got to his feet. He wiped any fluids left off of his mouth and nose and placed his hands on his hips, breathing calmly. The referee would walk over to him and raise his right arm in victory to the sounds of cheers from the crowd! But, instead of basking in his hard fought victory, he only nodded his, offered up a half hearted grin and waved to the crowd. The victory felt kind of hollow to him.

The referee would then return to help Erina out of the ring. Dirk would quickly leave the ring and join her and with a tired grin he reached out to her to offer her assistance in leaving.

I'll help you to the back. And I'm not taking no as an answer.

Erina smiled at him as she wrapped her arms around him and was helped towards the back. The crowd gave a guard of honor for the both of them as they went towards the locker rooms.

Erina waved goodbye to Dirk as they went to their separate locker rooms. There, she sat down on the chair, taking in a breather. She looked at herself in the mirror before nodding and talking to herself.

“That guy’s pretty nice. Think I’ll ask him out for some drinks in the future.”
