Jamie Valentine vs Lucky Uchida

With a level of intensity like she was checking the refrigerator for a snack, Jamie stood up, rolled once until she was under the ropes, and then right back out to the floor and sat back down.

The ref stared at her, stupefied. A part of her died when she began the count again.

"One!"

Lucky was practically standing and halfway to the ring ropes when she saw Jamie roll into the ring. She stopped when Jamie rolled out and her heart beat rapidly against her chest. "No..." She muttered and collapsed to her knees. Lucky pounded her fist against the mat. "Coward!" She growled, completely fed up with this girl. She had just beaten her and made her tap! Why was Jamie delaying the inevitable!?

"TWO!"

Lucky stood back up, fueled by anger and rushed towards the ropes. She grabbed them and jumped, hurtling over them and turning her body, intent on smashing her knees, and the rest of her right down into Jamie.

Jamie gasped from her safe spot on the floor where she sat cross legged while avoiding the match. A coward? How dare she!

And she was coming right at her, too. Jamie closed her eyes and threw herself at the ring apron, covering her head with her hands and curling into a tight ball while Lucky sailed over her. She peeked at her between her fingers.

"Who's the coward now?" She pouted. "Idiot."

"Ughyaaah!" Lucky slammed knee first into the hard concrete and crumbled to the ground. She rolled around, clutching her legs against herself. She was just lucky she had knee pads to keep from being completely injured. She writhed on the ground while the ref still did her duty.

"THREE!"

Jamie blinked. Lucky was down again. She was hurt! AWESOME!

She threw herself at the woman on one foot and knee and buried her hands in her blue hair. She pulled her up as high as she could, trying to get Lucky up on her knees while being on one knee herself, her other leg extended out toward the ring with her ankle cocked and her toes pointing straight up. She flung Lucky at the floor again so that she'd impale her midsection on Jamie's foot as she fell.

Lucky groaned as she was hefted up by the hair, almost dangling in Jamie's claws as she was brought to her aching knees. She was tossed down unceremoniously onto Jamie's foot and arched up over it, her hands snaking underneath her body but not even going for Jamie's foot, other than to try and push it out from underneath her. The breath was taken out of her again and she panted weakly, her face contorted into a permanent state of injury.

"FOUR!"

Jamie stayed down on her knees and began to shove at Lucky and roll her like a log toward the ring. She wanted her as close to the apron as possible, away from the prying eyes of the ref, where the ring would obscure her view. Once she got her there, she stood up, careful with her ankle, and looked at the ref.

She grabbed the bottom rope and pointed off at the corner, not far away, where her two hot pink yo-yo's sat. Meanwhile, she planted her heel in Lucky's throat, using the bottom rope for balance while she choked away at her.

"Ref! Gimme my yo-yo's! I wanna do a trick!"

"FIVE!"

"No, really, c'mon, you'll like it! I'll even write your name!"

"SIX!"

Of course, while the ref was focused on arguing with Jamie, she wasn't doing anything about the suffocating girl under her boot, tucked away where she couldn't see her anyway.

Once again, Lucky was woken up from her stupor by being choked. Her hands went up to Jamie's foot and tried to push it off as her eyes bulged. She'd really gotten sick of being choked but there wasn't really much she could do.

"SEVEN!"

Or was there? Lucky tried to throw her legs up high enough that the ref might see them flop up into her vision. Of course Jamie was certainly allowed to attack Lucky outside of the ring, but maybe the ref would get suspicious and check. Maybe she'd even stop her count to do so. She'd already threatened Jamie once. Lucky could only hope that the referee might be willing to find any excuse to toss Jamie out of the arena.

Jamie subtly shifted her foot from Lucky's throat to her chest as the ref leaned over the ropes, as if it was there the whole time. She didn't acknowledge at all what was happening, but kept pointing off at her yo-yo's. She was such a good liar someone should give her a medal.

"Okay, fine. No trick for you."

"EIGHT!"

She hopped up and stomped on Lucky's chest with both feet, mostly to punish her for trying to get her caught, and then remembered the pain in her ankle. She nearly crumpled to the floor in pain, but with her hold on the bottom rope she managed to roll herself back into the ring where she sat cross-legged and nursed her ankle some more.

Lucky sucked in a breath when Jamie pulled her foot off of her neck, sucking in a hard breath and nearly choking. Before she could even get any kind of respite, she felt Jamie stomped down hard on Lucky's chest. Her eyes bulged and her feet kicked up and flopped down.

"NINE!"

Jamie was already in the ring before the ref made the penultimate count. Lucky felt like she was plastered against the ground. Her head screamed at her to comply but her body barely moved. She shut her eyes. If she had one or two more seconds she could probably will herself into the ring. But with one count left, she knew she wasn't going to make it. Lucky turned her head. "What a pathetic way to debut..." She muttered. How would Bunny feel about this? She'd definitely think Lucky had lost her edge. But Lucky knew she was infinitely better. Heck, how was Macky going to feel about it?

"TEN!"

The ref called the count and waved her arms. The bell clanged, signaling Jamie the winner and the referee begrudgingly raised the blonde's hand. Lucky stood up weakly and leaned against the apron panting.

Once the ten count happened, Macky ran down the ramp at full speed. She'd been watching the match from the staging area and zoomed down the ramp. She skidded to a halt next to Lucky and slapped her friend hard on the back, causing Lucky to stumble forward.

"Macky-san..." Lucky whispered, keeping her head down.

"Ha Ha Ha!" Macky chortled. "How ya feelin, Blue?" She said. "You really got your ass kicked!"

Lucky sighed and then smiled weakly. "I did." She said. "I should have done better. I won't let her pull those tricks next time." Lucky said with her smile widening just a bit more. "She reminds me of Succu-chan though. She's certainly an imp."

"Ha Ha Ha!" Macky laughed again, slapped Lucky on the back once more and slid into the ring. She stood tall and looked at Jamie, puffing out her chest. "Oi!" She barked. "Get over here, ya pipsqueak! Ha Ha Ha!" Macky demanded.
