Bullet Ant vs Jamie Valentine

She took her time, her head held up, walking with a dramatic pace that was almost infuriatingly slow. The crowd wasn't sure how to react, at least until the ring announcer finished.

"Introducing first, from United States, she is the ICW, ICWA Tri-State, Television Champion, and undefeated Friction superstar, Jamie Valentine!"

Jamie was pretty sure she was hot stuff. She was, in fact, undefeated, winning first by DQ after getting her ass kicked, and then by beating up some stupid girl. She lifted her arms, and her ICW/ICWA Tri-State TV belt, up over her head and paused for applause. The crowd, little by little, began to boo. Jamie didn't get angry this time. They could boo if they wanted. She began walking down the ramp, but took so long to get to the ring that her music had already faded out by the time she got there.

She paused by the barricade that separated the crowd from ringside and demanded that one man step across. The man, uncertain and a little embarrassed, eventually obliged, and Jamie pulled at his arms so that they were bent at the elbow, and then draped her title belt over his arms. "Stand there and hold it, and don't touch it with your filthy hands!" She demanded, and then turned to walk off to the stairs.

Something caught her eye just as she was about to climb the stairs, and she walked back over to the crowd. There was a young fan with a large poster held over his head with a drawing of Bullet Ant done with markers and the words "Bullet Ant Ganbatte!" Jamie put on her friendliest smile. "You like Bullet Ant? Me too! She's the best! That's a heckuva poster there, did you make it? Can I see it?" She reached out to take the poster, and the fan was a little hesitant but she pulled it away with one sharp jerk. She grabbed it with both hands at the top, and after a couple tries she ripped it in half and threw the pieces on the floor and stamped on them. "There! That's what I think of Bullet Ant and your stupid poster! Why don't you learn to draw, you retard! You need to go to retard school so you can learn to not suck so bad at everything!" The fans gasped and the boy blinked at her, stunned. She kicked the poster halves away from him, landing them somewhere near the ring. "If anyone slips on that, I'll sue your butt off! Maybe next time pick someone who's actually won a match! Like ME!" She threatened.

She climbed up into the ring to a chorus of boos and more Journey. She'd done her homework on her opponent, or at least she'd looked up her record. She didn't bother trying to watch any of her matches or anything, that'd be dumb. She made her way to her corner and fixed her blonde ponytail while she waited for Ms Ant to show up.

Bullet Ant was already fully suited up for once as she warmed up backstage, trying not to snag herself on her cape as she stretched. She'd been wearing the mask pretty much constantly for the past day or two and tonight was the first match where she didn't have to think about dual identities or the like: now there was just the Exciting Insectoid Grappler and no-one else. hopping on the spot, waiting for her opponent's entrance to finish she managed to pick up one distressing fact in between Journey and the boos

"Did... did she just get introduced as ICW/ICWA Tri-State TV champion?" She asked in a mix of shock and disbelief to the technicians backstage, who only nodded in reply. Just who was she fighting? And why the hell was she stealing her bit? Wait, it's not my bit now. I'm not that person anymore she told herself trying to calm down. She couldn't over-react to this, otherwise her whole costume and identity crisis would be all for nothing. Still, she was slightly angry, this "Jamie Valentine" probably had no idea of the history of the title, nor did she get approval of the championship committee to make her own belt. To her surprise she was met with a noticable amount of cheers, the kid who had his sign torn up now cheering for his newfound hero to get revenge for the destruction of his hard work. Under the mask, she blushed a bit: so used to the cavalcade of boos or the silence, the tables match seemed to have gained her a great deal of support for her determination and bravery or something, she wasn't sure. All she knew was that as she bound down to the ring, slapping a few of the fans hands before jumping in the ring, that it felt good.

"So... ICW/ICWA Tri-state TV champion..." She said, facing Jamie. Bullet hadn't seen her before even in her old US indy days, so she knew whatever she answered next was probably 100% bullshit "How long you had that?" the masked wrestler asked, taking off her cape and backing into her own corner.

"What do you care. It's the result of lots of hard work and talent and winning matches. How's your career?" Jamie asked cruelly.

The bell rang and Jamie sauntered out of her corner. She was almost sure that there was no way this stupid bug could do anything to her. She was practically invincible. Was was undefeated! "What kind of bug are you supposed to be again? An ant? I squish ants on the sidewalk!" She cackled evilly.

Near the middle of the ring, she set her feet apart and put her hand out to very cautiously offer a test of strength with the bug-girl. It never occurred to her that Bullet Ant was actually much larger than her.

Bullet Ant scowled at Jamie's reply, "Oh you know, taking the best to their limit, stuff like that." She said trying to brag back. "How's life in the little leagues?" The masked wrestler asked, laying on the condescending tone thick enough you could spread it on toast before walking up to face Jamie in the centre of the ring.

Taking the smaller girl's invitation for a test of strength, she pressed her hand against hers and reached out with the other. She wasn't a very strong fighter normally, preferring speed to strength but her training had made her much better, and she was 6 inches taller, she could do this if Jamie fully accepted the Test. "By the way, Bullet Ant stings are the most painful thing ever, thought you should know."

As soon as Jamie grabbed Ant's hand, she regretted the whole thing. Now that she was up close, she couldn't help but notice how much bigger she was. All of her inflated confidence went up in smoke. She hesitated to grab Ant's other hand, and finally her free hand darted up to Ant's mask and grabbed hold of it under the jaw. She yanked down, hoping that Ant would be protective enough of the mask to roll with it so she could get her head down to her own level, and tried to smack her forehead against Bullet Ant's ant-y face.

As Bullet Ant noticed Jamie's hesatance to get into a test of strength with her, her confidence started to build, raising her arm up higher to tease the smaller girl slightly only to have her opponent grab her mask.

"Hey!" She yelped, moving with the half Irish girl's force with her spare hand rushing to secure her mask so she didn't loose it, only to be knocked back by Jamie's sudden headbutt. "Ugh! ...dirty trick..." she groaned. That was something that a month ago she would have done. Wow, it's a lot less fun having to deal with this stuff than dishing it out...

"Oowwwwww!" Jamie whined, and stumbled back. She pressed both palms against her forehead and dropped to her knees, having hurt herself about as much as she'd hurt her opponent, and Ant seemed much better at dealing with pain.

Her eyes widened when she realized her vulnerable position, and she scrambled back and to her feet but was shortly stopped by the ropes. She clutched them with both hands. "Don't come any closer! I'm on the ropes! Ref, I'm on the ropes, keep her back!"

Her head stung but she'd taken much worse than what Jamie dished out then, the masked grappler still remaining standing and trying to rub her forehead through the mask once she was sure she got it back on straight by which point her opponent had already retreated to the sanctuary of the ropes.

"Oh come on!" She let out with exasperation as the ref stood in between her and her opponent. "Hiding in the ropes? Seriously?" She asked as the little menace clutched the things for dear life it seemed, now what was she suppossed to do?

"Shut up! You didn't even give me time to get ready, so you can just wait!" Jamie snapped back at her.

She very cautiously unraveled her arms from around the ropes and stood up straight. She hooked a leg over the bottom rope and began to stretch her sides, leaning each way with an arm over her head and the other on her hip. Then she couldn't think of another stretch to do after that, so she was done.

"Okay, let's go, but it has to be a fair fight. No fighting dirty!" She said, pointing a finger dramatically at Bullet Ant. "And... since you're so much bigger, we should do the test of strength thing, but you should be on your knees. It's only fair!" She put up one hand and waited for Ant to comply.

Bullet Ant gave an exasperated sigh at Jamie's defense and her stretching routine. She guessed that the smaller fighter was just trying to make excuses for a bad start, it's what she would have done, and when she offered another test of strength with the tall Insect on her knees she turned to the crowd and shrugged.
