Aurora Vs. Cassie Elliot

"Ah!" Aurora's boot smashed the more tender underside of Cassie's thigh, and then the girl bounced her leg off the mat. Cassie's face contorted in pain, and she hugged her leg again.

"I'm not," she almost whispered. She gasped and yanked her leg out of the way just in time to avoid the next stomp, and quickly pulled herself up with the ropes and then remained leaning against them. She kept her wide green eyes on Aurora, and said, quiet and unsure, "Why d-don't you stop acting like that and try wrestling?"

Aurora angrily looked at Cassie after she rolled to safety. "Why don't you stop acting like that and try wrestling?" She took a step back and gestured for Cassie to come to her. "Stop acting like a wuss and fight me. I know you can. Everyone here knows what you can do." Aurora gestured to the whole arena around them.

"Don't act so innocent. That act may have worked on your previous opponents but it won't work on me." Aurora crouched down slightly and motioned for the redhead to come to her.

"I'm not acting..."

Cassie cautiously stepped away from the ropes toward the middle of the ring. She looked Aurora in the eye and then quickly glanced away. "I'm better than you," she said, as if she were only plainly stating a fact. She put up her hands and bent her knees as she stepped into shoot range.

She waited for a moment, just long enough to see if Aurora was going to immediately jump on her again, and then she quickly lunged in low with a well-practiced shot. Her hand darted out and snagged Aurora's ankle, and she picked it up, just high enough to mess with her balance.

Aurora was ready to overpower Cassie again as she came in range. The agile girl suddenly darted right for her ankle. Her attempt to push Cassie back without leverage failed and she hopped on one foot clumsily. After two steps backward, though, the girl suddenly leaped off her free foot in an enzugiri kick. She was going to make Cassie eat those last words. She certainly wasn't better at wrestler than aurora.

Cassie turned away, ducked her head down and to the side, and shrugged her shoulder up so that Aurora's kick skipped off of it and sailed harmlessly over her head. She just couldn't let her have that one. In the time that Cassie had spent watching pro wrestlers, she was appalled by how terribly predictable they were. Someone caught your leg? Enzuigiri! Every time.

As the girl's leg came back down, Cassie yanked hard on her ankle and let her spill awkwardly on the mat, and then walked away. "You're not even trying," she said, taking a moment to rub her bruised knee. While she did, she caught sight of Mamouru, standing at the ring apron past Aurora. She closed her mouth and her face became expressionless, her eyes lingered on him for a moment before she straightened up and set her attention back on her opponent.

She beckoned with her hand to wave Aurora in.

When Mamouru's eyes momentarily caught Cassie's his mouth drew open and for a second he stared back. Then he quickly lowered his gaze, tuned his head and slapped the apron.

"Come on! Don't let her make you look like a fool!"

Aurora's foot harmlessly flew over Cassie's head. She crashed onto the mat when Cassie threw her. The blonde groaned and immediately pushed herself up to her feet. Cassie didn't press the attack, however, and Aurora became frustrated. Mamouru was right. She made her look like a fool. Aurora didn't take too kindly to that.

Even in her angered state, however, she still noticed the way Cassie looked at Mamouru. The thought had crossed her mind several times in the past. But at the moment, that didn't matter. She had to get back on the offense and didn't much like how Cassie had talked her way back into it. Aurora approached Cassie again and readied herself to lock up with the girl again.

"I'm not trying to make you look foolish," Cassie mumbled.

She put up her hands and dutifully took Aurora's offer of a tie-up. She clinched with her collar and elbow, and pushed against her, took a couple steps around her to change up the angles, but she didn't attack. She only kept her big green eyes on the blonde, silently watching to see what she would do.

Aurora exerted as much force on Cassie the second time as she did the first. She didn't much care for whatever game Cassie was playing at. She kept jumping between personalities and it was getting annoying. Aurora was just going to settle on saying nothing rather than indulging the probable psycho's humor. She didn't have much patience to begin with. Cassie adjusted and fought back to try and get the best leverage she could this time around.

And this time around, Aurora dropped down even lower than Cassie and pulled up and back on the grappler hoping to catch the girl above her shoulder. Then, she lifted Cassie up off the ground and dropped her right back down in a spine buster.

Cassie instinctively wrapped her legs around Aurora's waist as she was lifted up in the air, and held on tight with her arms with her head tucked against the blonde's shoulder to keep from being knocked out. She hit the mat with a sharp crack, and though she held onto Aurora she squirmed in pain underneath her, arching her back and grimacing.
