Isa vs Alaina - Angel vs Amazon

For a brief moment, Isa's prospects had looked brighter. She had managed to get Alaina down and into her holds, which caused the blonde's confidence to spike, even to a level that had allowed her to school the Amazon on her choices of words. But just as fast as the tables had turned to Isa's favor, Alaina managed to once again break her way through the blonde's resistance, reclaiming her spot on top.

Isa's midsection had been a prime target for the Amazon throughout the match, and now the veteran's strategy was bearing fruit. Getting pummeled in her midsection was already a weak spot for the Angel, and Alaina's attacks had by now ensured it was hurting. So as soon as Isa saw Alaina's fists clasping together above her head, horror struck the blonde's face.

But there was no sign of mercy. The double axe handle smashed thoroughly air out of Isa's lungs, making sure that the Angel would stay fallen on the mat. As soon as Alaina stood up, the blonde just rolled over to cover her belly, but it was obvious that she needed some time before she could try herself rising back up again.

Alaina knew that Isa was capable of recovering if given time. Allowing her to do so would be foolish on Alaina's part. She stood up, bending down to grab hold of Isa. She grabbed her around a shoulder and between the legs, deadlifting her off the mat and holding her high. Alaina didn't want to be cruel, but she wanted to win and she had a strategy in place that she intended to use. Isa, Cecilia Northman... all women in the ring with Alaina got 100% from the amazon.

Alaina's intentions were to step forward and bring her crashing down across the knee of the amazon to deliver a big back breaker! Should this move connect Alaina would let Isa flop to the mat and lay across her chest, going for a pin!

Alaina's constant targeting of Isa's midsection had necessitated some urgent recovery time for the blonde. Unfortunately, the Amazon was not foolish enough to grant the rookie any of that... Instead, Isa felt Alaina's hands promptly on her body again, hungry for further punishment for the blonde.

But what happened next was something Isa had not expected at all. As soon as she had grabbed a good hold of her, the Amazon lifted the Angel all the way up, high up in the air! The crowds were roaring from excitement, but based on the look on Isa's face, contrary to what her nickname would suggest, the Angel of Ice was terrified to be flying so high. It was another testament to the Amazon's amazing strength, and Isa was helpless in front of it.

Another reason to be scared was that Isa knew she would also be coming down soon. And it was likely not going to be pretty for her... She didn't have to play guessing games for long though, as Alaina soon brought her down with the backbreaker! The Angel cried out from the pain of the impact, and flopped powerlessly to the mat. And that was enough for Alaina to go for the pin...

"1!"

On some level, Isa just wanted to get out of the ring. Her midsection was burning on both the front and back, and she knew Alaina's strength would be almost impossible for her to counter...

"2!"

But then again, was she going to go down this easy? Shouldn't she be more persistent than that, and not be an embarrassingly easy opponent for Alaina by getting defeated at the first attempt?

In the last second, the blonde's willpower kicked in, causing her to try to kick out, jolt, anything that could still keep her in the game.

Alaina thought that this might be it, but Isa surprised her as she thrust a shoulder up at the last second! Alaina rolled off to the side, making her way back up to her feet. "I should have known it would take more than that to keep you down huh?" Alaina said as she stood up and crouched, trying to reset and ready herself again. Alaina waited for Isa to rise and was eager to try to grapple with her again once she also rose up to a vertical base.

Alaina had gotten close to defeating Isa, but the blonde's sudden surge of determination allowed her to get out of the pinfall attempt just in time. The Angel was saved for now, but she was clearly in pain. Alaina on the other hand appeared to be much less so, based on the briskness with which she was rolling off and getting herself back up again.

The Amazon's previous words had caused Isa to get annoyed and lecture her some linguistic guidance, but this time they were surprisingly warranting an exactly opposite effect. If anything, considering the blonde's circumstances, Isa found them flattering, and the recent surge of determination was now followed by a surge in confidence.

Apparently, Alaina decided to give her opponent enough time to recollect herself, and Isa was sure not to waste the opportunity. But as the blonde slowly got up, she could see the Amazon taking up the grappling stance again. Now, normally, Isa would have been all too pleased to take up the offer. But this time, as Alaina had already crushed her twice in such a contest during the match, the rookie decided she was fully entitled to use some sneakier tactics now...

Approaching Alaina, Isa appeared as if she'd be accepting her grapple invitation. But as it was time for their hands to connect, Isa would never let her left hand connect with her opponent's. Instead, her right hand would push Alaina's hand towards the side, while the blonde would take a step to Alaina's side too. Then, she would try to quickly put her opponent in a front facelock with her left arm, and begin falling backwards, trying to down the Amazon with a classic DDT!

Alaina wasn't sure what to expect from Isa. However, she didn't expect the surge of life given the offense she had just endured. Alaina found herself wrapped up and before she could try to counter her head was falling fast, crashing hard against the mat! Alaina howled out in pain as she rolled to her side, her arms cradling her head after Is landed the surprise DDT!

Alaina thought she was close to a win, but Isa seemed to be full of surprises. Isa was fighting back and Alaina was down, clearly stunned by Isa's offense. The amazon knew she had it in her to get back in this but she wasn't able to get up and put herself in position to do that at this moment.

Isa knew her plan was a bit of a gamble, and feinting her opponents like this was not something she had gotten used to doing. But it definitely sounded like a better option than exposing herself for another rough round of grapple in Alaina's hands... Besides, if she could get the facelock applied with ease, it was only a matter of falling down after that, without too much strength required for the DDT!

The Angel's plan turned out to work perfectly. Obviously, it was surely something she could try some other time with another opponent too... The Amazon was totally caught off guard, granting the blonde still one lifeline to get herself back into the game. But, she also knew that the odds were still heavily on Alaina's side, so she had to try leveraging this opportunity as efficiently as possible...

Hoping that Alaina would stay down for a little longer, Isa crawled after her, wanting to get a chance to mount on the Amazon's back. Then, her plan was to take hold of Alaina's ankles, and begin to pull them backwards, hoping to get her own knees locked beneath Alaina's thighs while creating a scissoring squeeze on the Amazon's sides. She wanted to try her luck, and see if she could set the veteran up in her Icy Trap!

Alaina was downa nd felt Isa grabbing her. Before she could react she found herself stuck in some hold and it was surely painful! her torso and legs were surging with pain as she let out a scream of agony that echoed throughout the arena! "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Alaina screamed again, her arms digging in as the amazon began a frantic, desperate crawl towards the ropes! She was dragging a lot of weight but Alaina was also fueled by the pain she felt, desperate to escape from this painful submission hold!

After a few moments, moments that felt like an eternity the amazon was close enough to reach out and grab onto the bottom rope for dear life!

Isa had gotten lucky, and managed to down Alaina once more with her sneaky DDT! Now the blonde just had to find a way to capitalize on it - and the only thing she could think of anymore at this point was her finisher, the Icy Trap! But there were uncertainties with the plan, and one of the biggest ones was that she had never actually tried to put anyone such big and powerful as Alaina in the hold! But Isa could still see no good reason not to try it out...

And wow, the reaction she got. It was certainly a strange feeling, but empowering too, to hear the Amazon's roar of pain echoing throughout the arena. If she could get the veteran with her holds into such painful trouble, she had to be a pretty capable wrestler after all!

But the Amazon was not going to just stay still, and become the Angel's victim. Isa could feel her opponent beginning her crawl, and she was powerless to stop it! All she could do was to try maintaining her hold as tightly as possible, but the ropes were inevitably getting closer...

And then, Alaina made it. She got a sturdy grip of the rope. Obviously, it was in turn a bad omen for the blonde. If her finisher couldn't defeat the Amazon, then what could? But despite that, Isa promptly let Alaina free. She wasn't one to break the rules. So, what now? The ropes had saved the veteran, and the rookie got the idea that she could use them too! Isa wasn't experienced with high-flying moves, but she still decided to start climbing towards the top rope, from where she then wanted to perform a diving knee drop onto Alaina's back!

Alaina groaned and looked up after being freed. She saw out of the corner of her eye that Isa was on the top rope and preparing to jump. Alaina was hurting but she knew that if she stayed still her pain would increase ten fold! The amazon laid there and as soon as Isa went up into the air she would summon her strength and roll hard to the right, leaving Isa to come crashing down onto nothing but the mat below!

Alaina knew she had to create an opening and she hoped that the hard landing would be just the opening she needed to try to get herself back in the game!
