The Hardest Thing To Do

Taylor absently shook her head while Johnny spoke. She envied, as she assumed Johnny sometimes did, people whose spouses had normal jobs, where their health and safety were never in danger. If Johnny was a counselor at a summer camp, the worst she would have to deal with would be if he rolled his ankle playing soccer. She wouldn't trade either of their careers for anything else just because of the stress, but sometimes it was an enticing thought.

"After everything we did... After everything I went through with this whole thing... I lost sleep, Johnny, I've done nothing but worry about this match since you told me about it. Because what if King got his hands on you and you couldn't get away? What if stupid fucking Ninjette wasn't there to make the save? What if the ref couldn't keep him off with a five count or something? What would happen to you?

"And we made it through the match, and I was so relieved I could've cried." She did cry a little, but she didn't mention that. "And then you just walked up to him and said 'here, Killer King, kick my ass'." She shook her head again with a scowl. "So I'm mad at you. And I'm gonna stay mad at you as long as I want."

Listening to Taylor, Johnny felt ashamed. "I just wasn't thinking, babe!" He said again. "I get it. I'm sorry. You're totally right for bein made at me and junk."

Johnny continued to cruise down the road. He sighed. He hated that Taylor was mad at him but she was completely right. He honestly felt really stupid.

"Like, I dunno man. I was pretty worried about the match too man. I wasn't sure if I could pull it off. I'm still not even sure HOW we won, man." Johnny sighed again. "Like, we prolly shoulda lost and junk. But, I just couldn't think that way man. I couldn't think about what could even happen if we didn't win. I guess it just carried through after the match was over. I'm really sorry, babe."

She left the train and out of the town long long ago, still staring out the window wondering what they're planning for the night.

"Nya..... I missed my new friends...."



Yet she'll surely be safe when she heads back home, have a lot of thinking to do with her life now without King around, a very troublesome thoughts to go through, maybe she can start thinking about Johnny while his wife isnt around, its a guilty pleasure but Taylor wont know what shes thinking, right?
