Blood in the Water: Syd w/ Allie Parker vs. Gemma Faraday

When Syd got her bearings, Gemma was already on her. Her mind struggled to comprehend what was happening, and by the time she realized it was too late. She tried to push Gemma off and get off the ropes, but she was sharply yanked forward, and her face hit the mat with a sharp crack like a gunshot.

Her tall, slender body lay just where it fell, limp and motionless, while her mind was plunged deep under the surface of consciousness. The roar of the crowd was likely bigger than anything Gemma had experienced before.

When the two of them came down to the mat, Gemma released Syd the moment her strike hit the canvas. Biting her lip, trying to ignore the pain screaming through her spine, Gemma could only focus on the rising roar of the crowd. Every bit of their roar drew a smile to the Brit's lips, ecstatic that she'd been able to draw a reaction from the audience, especially from where she'd started, tonight. Gemma's face flushed red, all of her insecurities centered around crowd support suddenly vanishing as she got her bearings, in the ring.

Still, the Brit knew she couldn't stall for much longer. After the DDT connected with the mat, Gemma had flopped on the mat, trying to nurse a spine that had been thoroughly and completely abused, this evening. When Gemma put her focus back on her opponent, however, as she saw Syd lying down in the center of the ring, motionless. Through the pain, Gemma scrambled over to her opponent's prone body. The Brit hooked Syd's leg, and pressed her body hard down onto Syd's chest. Gemma's limbs were trembling, every bit of effort evident in her body as she tried to secure a pinfall.

Gemma grinned, turning her head so that she could flash a cocky smile towards Allie, as the referee's palm hit the mat to count the beginning of of the pinfall.

"One!"

Allie watched as Gemma managed to dump Syd tot he canvas and smash her face in. Syd just laid there and Allie's purple eyes saw red. Her cheeks flushed and her fingers slipped into her short red locks and gripped it tightly.

"Rrrrrrrrrgh!"

The throaty grunt of exasperation was the only noise she could make. Everything she had worked so hard for was going up in smoke. She'd bet on the wrong horse. Syd couldn't even finish a wounded duck! That girl had been all talk and she didn't even do THAT right!

Allie slapped her fists against the ring apron as Gemma pinned her.

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!? KICK OUT!" She shrieked.

While the world spun out of focus, Syd was still acutely aware of the sound of the ref's voice, and of her hand slapping against the mat for the one count. She had been rocked before, though, and with a peculiar calm, Syd timed the second fall of the ref's hand like she was playing along with her.

"TWO!"

She was only just starting to come to when her body kicked hard enough to turn her onto her side, breaking the count, much to the crowd's dismay. Syd didn't mind disappointing them.

As her red eyes opened, her voice came out of her throat like it had to force its way through gravel. "I'm going to break you in half." She slapped her palms on the mat and started to push up to her feet, knowing that the arena would stop spinning in a moment.

Gemma settled in on top of her opponent comfortably, as the three-count started. It seemed like the fans at ringside, their cheers echoing throughout the arena, were finally getting back behind the young Brit, and she was enjoying every second of it. After the two of them had landed, Gemma had nursed her injured back, trying to suppress her pain as much as she could before trying to secure a pinfall over her opponent. Planting herself as firmly as she could upon Syd's body, however, Gemma realized she couldn't keep her opponent down long enough to earn the victory.

Gemma had been proud as hell of her last move, but it was clearly not enough to put down an opponent like Syd. As Syd kicked out of the pinfalll, Gemma collapsed, losing all control of her focus on the match. Syd's threat, her promise to break Gemma, rang in the Brit's ears, while she was physically unable to come up with a rebuttal. Gemma couldn't help but feel a chill run through her spine, her hopes of victory quickly evaporating as she realized that she'd just pulled out her very best, and her very best hadn't been enough to put this match to bed.

Syd's hands shot out and again snagged Gemma by her pigtails. She pulled her in close, pressing her forehead against the Brit's while her red eyes promised murder. She squeezed the spent girl's hair so hard her knuckles turned white, and pulled hard enough to make sure she wasn't going anywhere. They were stuck, glued face-to-face.

Then Syd opened her mouth wide, and bit down on Gemma's face. Almost instantly the ref began the five count to break up the flagrantly illegal attack, but Syd didn't care. Like a rabid animal she chomped on whatever part of Gemma's pretty little face she could, while holding her in place by her hair.

"One! Two!"

Allie's heart pounded in her ample chest while she watched the count. If Syd lost, she would just have to fire Syd. That's what she' do. She'd cancel Syd's contract and leave her stranded in Japan and go back to America until she could find someone bigger to help her with her dreams of showing up her sister. And someone who could beat up Syd too. inevitably the white haired girl would want revenge. Allie's mind began to whirr until Syd broke the count.

"Hooooooh!"

Allie exhaled audibly. Syd was just sandbagging! She'd have to scold the girl for hotdogging. She was ready to do it now too! Then she saw Syd pick up Gemma by the braids and...

What the heck?

Were they going to kiss? That'd be really weird and gross and what the hell was wrong with Syd!?

Allie's eyes remained glued to the girls just to see if Syd was actually going to do it when Syd gnashed down on Gemma's face.

"Ewwwwgeeeze!"

Allie turned her head. That was way more gross than a kiss! What the hell was wrong with Syd!? She was a maniac! Allie was just thankful that Syd was on HER side!
"Getter Syd! ...bite... her..." Ew.

As disappointed as Gemma was by failing to secure the pin, all of that melted away with Syd's icy glare, replaced by a sudden fear. Gemma'd been intimidated before, certainly, but she'd never faced an opponent like this. Before she could do anything about it, Syd was straight back to trying to uproot her hair. This time, however, Gemma had no clue how serious things were about to get. In a blur of motion, Syd seemed to lunge forward, biting down hard on the Brit's face, teeth sinking into the flesh of her cheek hard.

“EEEEYYYAAAAH!” Gemma screamed, blinding pain shooting through her entire face. The white-haired Brit fought against every urge to pull back, terrified of leaving any bit of her face in Syd's mouth. “Get her offa me! Getter off! Now!” Tears were flowing freely from Gemma's eyes, now, but never before had they felt so justified, to the young Brit. Looking for the ref, for someone, anyone who could help, Gemma could hardly fathom how things had gotten to this point. What the hell was this psychopath thinking? With no clue how to fight back, from this, Gemma could only hope and pray that the referee could get this match back under control, before Syd managed to completely destroy her face!

"Three! Four!"

Just before the referee reached the count of five, Syd pulled away from her frantic opponent, and then punctuated the ordeal by smashing her forehead into Gemma's nose before releasing her.

She got up on her knees, and with a big, broad grin, she looked out over the crowd. She ran her tongue slowly over her teeth and licked away the traces of blood she had drawn from Gemma's cheek. She cast her eerie gaze toward Allie, a grinning, wild-eyed reminder of exactly who the redhead was talking to when she complained from the safety of ringside.

She drew herself up to her feet, still slightly shaken from the blows to her aching head, though she was anything but hesitant. She lunged greedily at Gemma, and kicked out a foot in a stomp aimed at the Brit's head.

Without any clue of how she could resist, Gemma could only hope and pray that Syd would eventually release her. Gemma tried desperately to focus on the referee's voice, hoping to find refuge in the ten-count, but part of the Brit suspected that nothing any official could say, at this point, would be enough to throw off the firm control of the sociopathic Syd. Gemma could feel blood from where Syd's bite had broken the skin, a thin trail running down her cheek, the bright red contrasting sharply against the Brit's lily-white skin. When Gemma watched Syd's crimson tongue flicker across her top row of teeth, it seemed already too late to do anything about the brawler's skull crashing hard against Gemma's face. "AAAOW!" she screamed, feeling a sharp burst of blood come running from her nose as Syd threatened to break the poor Brit's entire face.

Despite the absolute terror running through her veins, however, Gemma couldn't allow herself to fall behind, at this point. Face bleeding from multiple points (the first time Gemma had ever been cut open during a match), Gemma watching in silence as the silver-haired sociopath reveled in her dominance. But Gemma refused to simply lie back and take the abuse. As Syd came barrelling down upon her, the air raid siren gave her every effort to meeting her tormentor in kind. Fists swinging wildly, punch after punch directed at Syd's slender midsection, Gemma hoped and prayed that she'd be able to deliver enough pain to her enemy that she could while still trying to pull out some kind of respectable display of force, for this match. Those swings proved to be a moot point, however, as Syd's thick boot crashed hard against Gemma's skull, and drove the already battered Brit hard into the mat. Hurting and raw, Gemma could only twitch, helplessly, left lying in wait for her opponent's next move, her own attempts at defense rendered utterly useless.
