Then you were taught well. Relax, it's scary the first time but tomorrow will come and go :p

Almost everyone gets into accidents, the more you drive the bigger the chance. I was in the middle lane of a highway once and this person on my right swerves into me and forces me to collide with the guy on my left who is then pushed into the barricade. Three car accident all because the lady on my right changed lanes without looking...while on the phone...during rush hour.

Once I was on the expressway at ~70 mph and two cars up slammed on his brakes and came to a complete stop for some reason. I barely stopped in time, but the woman in the minivan behind me didn't notice, and blasted my car to death. Fucked me up a bit too, but nothing too serious. Just got cut up with broken glass, gashed my shin open against the underside of the steering column (or somewhere around there), lost a shoe (it got wedged in the corner of the floor and the front, and I couldn't get it out), hurt my neck and back. Woman behind me was gibbering and hysterical, and I was like "bitch, calm down".

It's so surreal. One moment everything is normal, the next the engine is spluttering and everything is broken, and filled with smoke.

I hit a school bus and only got one point on my license. It's no big deal.

My dad came with me and he was instantly impatient since there was a long list for the courtroom I was assigned to, and it's order was alphabetized and my last name starts with S so you can see how long that would take. So my dad decided just to pay the full price of my ticket for me even though I had full intention to do so myself and not go through court.

So in all, big hype for nothing. :/
