To be honest I wouldn't know as I have no idea who Drizz is in reality. All I know from past experiences (very bad experiences I must add -_-) playing in elven and Fantasy RPs is that ALL male Drows are tormented by the females, reject their society, come to the surface ... and are called Drizz clones.

There was a time when I liked elfs.

All male drows are tormented by female drows because that's part of their society, officially. Drow society is 100% run by the females of the race. If a male does ANYTHING to offend or upset a female, he can be killed right there on the spot.

Most of them aren't stupid enough to try and reject the society and come to the surface though; aside from drow being 'kill on sight' for most surface dwellers, Lolth gets pissed when her people reject her and run from her, and usually sends parties to hunt them down and drag them back to the Underdark.

Although Drow society obviously got a little more modern in 4E. Males are still basically trash, but can hold minor positions of power as Exalted Consorts, Arachnomanchers or Exalted Warriors even in the Spiderweb Pits.

but female dominated = good!

Sorry but it is true.

Maybe that is actually what happens. Drow female run society is a paradise on earth (or underground) but males are so jealous that they go out to the surface and bitch to everybody who wants to heard them about how evil drow women are... and how they have spiders are worship them.

You cant forgot about the faction of females who worship the daughter of Lolth and Corellon Larethian. Eilistraee and her brother both in the pathion with their mother, but they both differ in views. Namely the daughter is more like the father smart cultured and athlethic while the son hateful always trying to find a way to kill Lolth along with his sister. Im almost sure we would see kitten joining the ritual dance bathed in the moonlight anyone agree with me.
