Go on the bash

It was one of Duffy's first few days in town. After a bit of a fuss with trying to sort out her papers to join the league, she had needed a good stiff drink. Tired fromt he flight, she had stayed in her hotel at first, sleeping off a hangover she had had from the few days she had been partying at the goodbye party thrown for her. She stumbled into the closest 'bar' she could find, slightly intoxicated from the morning's drinking. She plopped herself down at the bar next to a few patrons who gave the pastey pale foreigner odd looks. Ignoring them, she got right down to business. She looked up at the bartender with a cheery smile.

"Time ta get yokit ti cockin the wee finger."

Puzzled by the crude woman's language, Duffy received only a blank stare. The Scot gave an audible 'hmph' and looked next to her and grabbed the glass from the nearest patron's hand and chugged it hard and slammed it down. "I said ta give ma a tipple!" She barked and shoved the glass forward. She then wrinkled her nose in disgust, having never tasted sake before. "Och! Whit's this? Ye call it a drink?! I hae taste sheeps puke at's guidder an this! Coorie up! Keep it comin!" She demanded and yanked the glass from the bartender and slugged the drink down hard.

"Broon Barrel," Althea said with a lazy raise of her hand at the bartender. He popped the top off a bottle of Brown Barrel beer and slid it to her. It wasn't quite top brewery, even for Japan, but most places carried it, and it was that classic, cheap, thick sort that let you really taste the drunken haze coming, that faint taste of arse promising good times. They had it at McNally's, but Mondays were slow. Maybe this place had their brawl night then....

She fixed her low-hanging jeans a bit (pulling them low enough for a gander at her inner thigh and festively striped panties), and looked at the foreign-looking girl next to her. Of course, lots of girls looked foreign around here. The damn league seemed to suck in the wierdos like a magnet.

It was an interesting conversation starter. Instead, she said what was really on her mind. "Ye drink thaat, do ye?" she said, unable to keep a smile off the corner of her lips.

Duffy immediately turned her attention to the Irish rose that had a seat next to her. She couldn't quite figure out how she missed the girl, but it was probably because she was more concerned with getting her fix of booze. She eyed Al and raised an eyebrow. "Yer tellin ma thae hae a true ale?" She said. She pushed the empty glass away. "Lassie yer aff the gleg if ye think a wad raither dae this as that." She said pointing from her empty glass to Al's beer bottle. "If it gets ya wanked an I'll be haein a swig a it" She then grinnned. "Course even I be Auld i the horn when it comes ta avoiden that irish drek those arse kissers call ale." If there was one thing she knew, it was how to get someone riled up when she was itchin for a fight. If Al was worth her weight as an irishmen, Duff was going to find out right away and if not well she might just start up a row anyway.

"A can nae believe thae let a bog-trotter in a these parts, eh?"

Al's eyebrow visibly twitched as she frowned at her.

"Ye heard the lassie!" Al barked at the bartender and jerked a thumb at Duffy.
"I did?"
"Beer the poor fuckin' jockey, 'ere! She's doyin' on tha piss-poor stuff ye call scrumpy 'round 'ere."
The bartender rolled his eyes and conceded. They knew what to take from the drunks, but at least they'd be jolly about it back in the homeland.

"Cheers, mate," she'd say with a genuine enough smile. She's raise her bottle as though to tap them together, but raise hers a few inches higher if she accepted. She'd rap the bottom of her bottle on the lip of hers, rapidly rattling it and making it overflow like a science fair volcano and chuckling to herself in quiet delight.

Duff shrugged as the beer was set before her. She took it up and inspected it for a moment. She then looked at it and stared at Al as she lifted her drink up for cheers. "Maybe ye an nae so bad fore an arse kissin pogue." She iad and went to knock glasses with Al only to be duped into having the bottle overflow on her. She stood up from her seat and ran her hand down her beer soaked cltohes in a half hearted attempt to clean herself. With her brow furrowed she pulled her beer bottle back. "Och! What kinna daft bloke goes an spills another lasses drink!?" She threw her bottle at Al, not even registering the irony of her actions. She then cocked her fist forward and threw a looping left hook at Al's jaw. Despite her genuine anger, she had a big grin on her face. Seemed the irish gal knew exactly what Duffy was after. I'm a cowp yer hurlie fer this!" She shouted as she punched.

Al jolted back a bit to avoid the bottle, but the punch, while expected, got her offguard. Her head swung to one side and she rubbed her jaw as she nearly fell out of her seat.

"Tell me," she'd say, sitting up and cracking her knuckles, openly readying for a fight. "Do ye find all that fancy tongue-wagglin' do ye any good outsida the bedroom, or ye haggis breath keep akk the boys at bay?" She'd throw a cross at Duffy's face with her right, expecting her to block it just before she hit her with a straight with her other hand. "The girlies know how te speak fer themselves!" she' taunt, either missing or enjoying the irony.

The bopttle careened off into the crowd, hitting another patron, but Duffy didn't seem to mind it all that much. She was already in a fighting stance, waiting for Al to go at her and she did block the punch but took the straight jab and stumbled back. She grinned and wiped her mouth with her arm. "Ye hae better get ta haein yer dobbs learn ta spaek up. Ma gammer greets ma whit more fight when she gives me a peck on th' gob!" She charged forward and went in for a headbutt to stun and then to throw a right hook into Al's body.

The place not quite big enough to have its own bouncer, the girls went at it. Al let out an "Agh!" at the headbutt, then swung her fist up into her belly at almost the same time as Duffy's. She made a heaving noise and stumbled backward, unwittingly almost entirely on top of another drinker's table.

"Hey-!" the table's inhabitant started, but Althea threw an elbow into his mouth without even looking. It shut him up quickly and it was practically a reflex. "Oh aye, keep flappin' ye gob, dearie. Makes it an easier target!" She'd actually try to fling herself up from the table to spear her back into whatever was behind her.

Duffy's eyes widened when the punch sank into her belly, but she grinned, stumbling back just a bit. Before she could regroup, she felt heself being speard into the bar and let out a loud grunt of pain. Instinctively she reached out to grab Al's hair, just to hold her in the spear psoition for a few moments so she could get a good swing in. She cocked her fists back and looked at the person who was shaikily watching the foreign brawlers go at it on hnis stool. She growled and reached out and grabbed him by the collar and shoved. "Git, ya wank!" She said as she tried to muscle her way onto the seat so she could lift her legs up and wrap them around Al. From that position, she would try and throw some punches at the top of irish woman's head.

"Hrrk!" Al grabbed at her thighs to try and wriggle free, but the pressure held long enough for blows to rain down on her head like a hailstorm. "Ah! Ah! Mangy git!" she snapped as she tried sheltering her head. She'd try to bear it for a moment as she'd swing both fists forward through her guard to strike right into both tits
