Outside the Ring

Hiroyuki has an aversion to unneeded violence. He only really took this occupation for money and because he likes "competing" as opposed to "fighting". Therefore, he is quite easy-going and more social despite his young age. He is quite intelligent as well, passing his classes without too much difficulty. Aside from training, he rather enjoys music and cooking though he isn't as talented at the latter as his brother is. In terms of relationships, Hiroyuki isn't particularly sure. If anything, he'd like a strong, grounded woman nearly at the top of her chosen field. In the life outside of LAW, he has a bit of survival skill and limited proficiency in firearms.

Among the nerves that can be plucked to irritate him, being one of his “shatterpoints”, negatively influencing or harming Senji will do it. This is due to naturally having the role of the elder brother - the future patriarch of Takijima - and one of his major regrets being unable to do anything to help Senji when Sen’o and Kerry were forced to battle multiple opponents while Hiro was stuck at their home. Obviously, he can't change the past nor was it in his control but...helping him now when he requires a shoulder is a start.


Inside The Ring:
Contrary to his personality, he desires to be quick and without naive mercy in the ring or on the mat. This is to avoid causing someone unnecessary pain if they don't deserve it. Generally, he does go to grappling although will seek to use various kicks, punches, and elbows since he has quite the solid stand up game if the opponent pushes Hiroyuki to do so. With training or if injured, he is usually gentler with others to avoid going too far in the laid-back setting.


Strategy:

Hiroyuki relies on two arts to serve as the foundation of his abilities: Muay Thai and BJJ. Having over 13 years to work on the intricacies of his style, he has amassed a variety of holds, throws, locks, and strikes. He will work to overwhelm his opponent quickly with a barrage of moves, relying on the aforementioned arsenal to damage his opponents. So long as they can handle him, as he does not like unnecessary violence. If he finds himself on the disadvantage, then he will switch to an approach of denying his opponent. If they look for a strike, he will counter with a grapple. If they seek to grapple, he will go for a strike. However, this style gets tested severely in case of powerhouses that can match him, such as Bast in his 2v1 battle.

Chopped Up, Streamlined Version

Raised alongside his brother, Hiroyuki would share many of the same experiences with his sibling including their shared aptitude for martial arts after the younger brother begged his father for tutelage in the same way Kerry fought. Due to this catalyst, it would spark a growth between the two where the other would keep pushing each other higher up yet have enough compassion instilled in them both to avoid a bitter rivarly. He knew his role and what he was supposed to do. He had no ill will or particularly strong envy towards Senji. Therefore, he must be patient and give him a shoulder to lean on whenever he needs it. However, this rosy illusion of a normal life shattered when he was faced with an effort no child should face: waiting for someone to wake up...for seven years. This left him distraught and internally bitter. He had lost his complimenting half. For all his techniques, just like his father, he could do nothing but wait for what seemed like eons. All that was left was to continue his life...for seven years.

In the bustling industries of Japan, Hiroyuki would eventually find work to support himself. That being, gradually finding success in the world of public, brutal MMA. It wasn't his first choice of a career, but it was the quickest option he had on short notice unlike several years of further schooling. Being able to adapt to stand up and grappling and having the power to assist in his techniques, he attracts enough copious attention to be scouted by the League. Given he did not reach the level of a "Legend", or to the level of the strongest man he knows, he has to start at the bottom and climb his way to the top. At a similar time, his brother would finally finish his physical and mental rehabilitation.

For the foreseeable future and into the present day, Hiroyuki pursues mastery of his path in martial arts while being content enough to work in a fighter occupation. Their paths split once again, Hiroyuki hopes to avoid faltering and failing at what he's trained so hard for. Whether L.A.W will help or hinder Hiro remains to be seen.
