Training An Angel

Alaina was thrown off balance just before three, with Isa showing continued signs of fight left in her! Alaina groaned and rolled away a bit slow to her feet herself. She hobbled up and motioned for Isa to rise. "Come on Isa show me what ya got!" Alaina called out trying to goad Isa into attacking her. Alaina flexed and strut about before making her way over to Isa.

Alaina grabbed hold as if she were going to do another scoop slam but she moved slow, giving Isa a slight bit of time to try to counter or block the attempt to try to slam Alaina instead. The amazon was curious what Isa would try to do but if she took too long Alaina had no problem slamming her!

Isa had barely managed to kick out, but by no means was her situation good at all. She was already very exhausted by the night's training, and kicking out had really just been kind of a ritual, something that she just needed to do when in a match. It didn't mean she was really capable of going onto the offensive at this point...

And that fact was only made worse by her coach's encouraging, yet demanding words. The blonde had already shown so much of what she'd got, and still the Amazon was demanding for more? "Aaghhh..." Isa let out a moaned sigh as she finally began trying to make her way back up, but before she could complete her mission, Alaina was already beginning to set her up for another move!

But what could she do? Unfortunately for the Angel of Ice, her countering abilities were still sorely lacking. Combining that with the exhaustion of her body that was already spreading to her brain meant that despite of the few seconds of mercy, the Icelandic blonde was incapable of coming up with anything more beneficial than a slipshod attempt at a knee strike to the Amazon's thigh. Needless to say, that was far from enough to stop her powerful coach from slamming her...

The trainee was again sent magnificiently flying through the air, with her body slamming hard against the mat! And the pain was once again too much for the blonde to do anything else than to lay spreadeagle on the mat, breathing hard...

Alaina looked down at Isa and could see that Isa was spent. Instead of piling on she backed off and stood by. "I think we have done enough for today Isa. You showed a lot of promise and we need to work on some technique before anything else. You really had me reeling a couple times!" Alaina said before making her way over to Isa to offer to help her up to her feet. She really was proud of Isa and how she handled herself though, as Isa showed plenty of grit and drive during the training.

Alaina had a very good feeling about her, that was certain. Now it was up to Isa to do what she had to to really unlock that potential of hers!

Alaina's final slam really took a toll on Isa, and she knew that her coach had once again gotten the best of her. It would now only be a matter of time before the mighty Amazon would seal the angelic trainee's defeat with a pin...

But instead of what Isa was expecting, Alaina decided to back off and conclude their training for the night. And the blonde couldn't deny her pain from the training being soothened somewhat by her coach's commending words. And as she helped her up, the blonde had to express her appreciation.

"Thanks, Alaina... I really appreciate what your doing for me. I can't deny that it's sometimes hard being your...ragdoll, heh, at times at least, but... I believe you. I'm developing, and it's worth it."

Walking out of the gym with her coach, Isa knew that if she just remained persistent, she had the potential to bring a whole new impact to AFW.
