Summer Splash Challenge! Taylor Vs. Adrian: Event 2!

Winning Conditions: First to cross the finish line will be declared the winner.

For the second competition in the best of three series between Adrian Kytes and Taylor Parker, Today a location had been secured and the obstacle course erected. The seats had been sold and everything was ready. All that was left was to begin the show.

Familiar music began to play and out from the staging area, Lukretia Von Creuzfeldt stepped into the cacophony of boos. She was dressed similarly to how she had been during the arm wrestling competition and behind her were her two maids, both dressed in wrestling gear.

"Vilkommen, Ladies und Gentlemen!" Lukretia said with a bright smile. Let us not vaste any timeund get ze contestants out unmittelbar!"

Adrian was out first this time, looking like a different person entirely to the Adrian who had showed up for the armwrestling contest. Dressed in a light top that exposed her toned midsection and a pair of workout shorts, a wide smile on her face in a sharp contrast to the scowl from last week. Even Lukretia couldn't bring her down too much. "Woooooo!" She let out, jumping up and down before heading over to the starting point.

The course was all set up just as it was in the design docs: A ramped treadmill to start , high and low hurdles, a rope climb, monkey bars, net climb, a Zipline to drop back down then a balance beam run to finish it off. This was her event and was going to be her victory, and she was going to earn it.

Taylor strode into view, ready and waiting to smoke Adrian at her own game. This time, her bright blonde hair was in two short braids, and she wore a bright red, black-stringed bikini top and tight denim shorts, with knee-high tube socks, white with red stripes, and slim, crimson sneakers that fit like gloves. She struck a bold, superhero pose, feet spread wide with her chest out, fists on her hips, and a big, sharp grin on her face.

She stepped back into a deep, dramatic, Kung Fu-ish stance, with as serious a look as she could muster, and then took off for her starting point across from Adrian. She grinned across at her opponent and planted a hand on the floor, and kicked up into a one-handed capoeira handstand kick, grabbing her leg and holding the position for a moment before getting her feet back on the floor. She threw Adrian a wink, and bounced in place while she waited.

Adrian complemented Taylor's display by adding the obligatory "Hyaaa" to Taylor's kung-fu pose and kick before she got back to her feet. Win or lose, and she was winning this, it was already way better than the stupid arm wrestling competition. "Ready to get your ass kicked for the 1st out of 3 times?" She asked across, waiting for the signal to ready up.

"Oh, I'm ready, but I'm glad that's not gonna happen."

She bent at the waist and stretched down to each leg, flattening her upper body down to her knee before switching. She dropped into a split, and then hopped up and ran in place, bringing her knees up high. Then she settled down, took up her place on the starting line, and got ready to launch herself at full speed.

"Treadmills, huh?" She said, without looking at Adrian. "Who's idea was that?"

Lukretia stepped between the two girls, holding up a microphone. "Ze rules are simple enough. Make it across ze finish line first und you vill be declared ze vinner. I do not need to mention zat if Miss Parker vins, zen she vill vin ze competition, und ze prize, rendering ze last event moot."

Lukreta began to walk down the side of the course, towards the finish line while the ref was in position with a whistle. "Begin on ze blow of ze vhistle. Good luck!'

Lukretia waited until she was all the way at the finish line before she gave the signal. She had added a short, straight sprint after the balance beam which lead to a paper wall that obfuscated the finish line. Neither of the girls would know it was there but she had a little surprise waiting for both of them.

After a few more seconds on anxious waiting, the referee finally put the whistle to her lips and sounded the sharp signal to begin!

"It's not a problem is it?" Adrian asked sarcastically before readying up, fully aware of the two's history with treadmills and by the slope made it sliightly intimidating, but it was only the first obstacle and the two were fresh for this, it would only get harder from there. By the time the whistle blew, the former cosplayer was off like a gunshot, rushing up the rolling hill and down the short staircase afterwards with relative ease before jumping up for the first hurdle.

These weren't running track style hurdles that could be jumped over without breaking stride, the high ones were padded bars held 5 feet up and felt more like climbing over a wall than anything, and the low ones weren't exactly a cakewalk either: forcing the competitors to roll, slide or crawl under the two feet high bars.

Taylor was off at full tilt and powered her way up the treadmill. With neither of them biting it, they were already miles ahead of their first treadmilling experience. At the top, she skipped the stairs and went the whole way down in one jump, landing with a neat roll and recovering quickly.

She leapt high for the first hurdle, grabbed it, and rolled her body over to the other side where she hit the ground running. When she saw the next one, though, she instantly cursed herself for her choice of attire. Her string bikini top and little denim shorts let her show off plenty of her slender and muscular body, but did little to protect her fair skin from the floor. Sliding would be tricky.

She opted to turn to the side and only let her hip touch as she slid under the first. By the end of the hurdles, regardless of her efforts, her side was bright red.

With an impressive vertical leap, Taylor snagged the climbing rope and quickly shimmied up it. She didn't bother to check Adrian's progress, she didn't need the distraction, and she felt good. So far, the course felt like a breeze, despite the complications with her skin. From the top of the rope, she reached out to grab the bars overhead and began swinging from one to the next, eying up the heavy rope net that she was to climb next.

What a pain in the ass. Nets were for catching things, not climbing. She imagined being hopelessly stuck, flopping like a fish halfway up while Adrian somehow breezed past her.

But fuck that. Fuck nets. Adrian could be the fish. Taylor was going to fuck that net up.

Conquering the hurdles with only a slight friction burn, Adrian set about shimmying up the rope like a monkey, swinging her legs up onto the platform before she pulled herself up and onto the next objective: swinging like a... uh... monkey. Trying to focus and not have her mind wonder off to the topic of bananas, the former cosplayer made it across. Her arms aching as she grabbed onto the cargo net.

At first she likened climbing the net to climbing one of those rock wall set ups without a harness. Lots of places to grab, crash mats below, just only instead of rocks to grab, they were holes that you could put your foot through and get tangled up in... so nothing like a rock wall apart from the fact it needed climbing. For the lanky Adrian the whole section from the rope climb to getting up onto the rafters from the cargo net was possibly the hardest part for her at least, the former cosplayer struggling to get over the top without slowing down too much. But from her least favorite to her favorite part, the part she was determined to stay in no matter how many times it got re-designed: The Zip Line.

Grabbing on with both hands, she launched off, tucking her legs in as she zoomed down to the landing area with a big "Wooooooooooo!" splashing down on the mat and springing back up for what she thought was going to be the final obstacle: the balance beam.

The moment Taylor crashed into the net, her leg got stuck through it. After an endless moment of kicking and thrashing, she got herself together and muscled her way up the stupid thing in no time. She threw herself at the zip line and grabbed on for the ride down.

She couldn't help it. She glanced over to see where Adrian was, and... there she was, a second ahead of her! Taylor's eyes snapped back to the balance beam, and she knew she had to make up for lost time. She hit the crash mat and sprung back to her feet, and took off across the beam nearly at a full sprint. Had she fallen, that would've been it, but she made it across, and looked up to see the paper walls at the end of the course.

She blazed down the last leg of the course at full tilt, and when she reached the paper she lowered her head and crossed her forearms in front of her to crash through it hopefully to victory!
