I always favored the Tekken series over MK and street fighter mainly because no one can cheap shot with long range moves constantly to win I loved Yoshimitsu's move that was back hold square then paired with I think forward hold triangle or square for a easy 2 hit KO finisher if you are good.

For 3D fighting game my Fav is DoA, followed by KoF: MI.
Another recent fighting game I would highly recommend is Touhou Shinkirou ~ Hopeless Masquerade. It's really awesome!

Don't forget Ogre's cheesy range attack I believe he had. I just never gave devil, angel, or ogre a chance for their range attacks.

If you have a PS3, the new Blazblue should be released sometime early next year, so that should be fun.

And, though its already been said, Injustice is still very enjoyable, even if your one of those guys that utterly disregards the fun single player story and focuses just on online play.
