Y'know, I hate writing profiles...

I love to RP, don't get me wrong there. It's one of my favorite things to do!

But, y'know...profile writing? For some reason it just really bores me to do. I guess I'd just rather reveal info through my characters via actual roleplaying and not through writing up a profile first.

Mmrf. Anyone else feel the same way? Anyway else just get bored as hell typing out a character profile?

My worst writing comes out in profiles but I like them as they let me try to put pen to paper as to what gave each of my characters their varying neuroses.

I suck enough to know that anything I try to explore through mid-story exposition will be invariably lousy.

It's just so boring! [/whine]

Not to mention half the time they end up not acting like it says in the profile and I have to go back and change things. <_<

Hahaha. Yeah, same way here.

But I don't bother changing.

Hell, Cardia's profile is probably practically for a different character by now.

I feel that way about a couple of my profiles, actually!

It's why most of them are on a list to be rewritten.

(Which I'm too lazy to actually do.)

IMO, it's not worth writing the profile unless you can RP directly right after. Like for me, I finish writing the profile, but then I have the urge to RP that character to get a feel of her.

THAT I highly agree with too.

At the very least, getting a profile done encourages me to hurry and find a match for that character.

I can write histories like a champion. I could write them forever and ever. Personalities, however, I suck very badly at writing.

and THANKFULLY I get to cheatbox descriptions on this site because I suck at those as well.

But I just use the personality section as a guideline.

because like half your profiles aren't finished <.<
