knockin on MY door!?

Akashi had just put the finishing touches on her outfit. Though she had a things to do later, for now she was just getting ready so she could head out as soon as she needed to. Mina was out at the AFW facility but Akashi had the day off. She said she would meet up with her later but had nothing to do in the mean time.

Once she finished dressing, slipping on her black hakama pants and tying up her yukata loosely she went out into the living room. She plopped down onto her couch and turned on the tv. She was hoping to watch her favorite anime, Giant Queen Sakura, which had aired last night and she missed. As she settled in, she yawned and leaned back in a relaxed position. It was nice just to get a chance to relax everyonce in a while. She had been througha lot lately and the time alone was nice.

It seemed like just s Akashi was about to settle in there would be a knock at her door.

"Can't beleive I'm doing this," Sarah Gatt muttered to herself standing outside of the sumo's appartment. This was the same woman who had handed Sarah her first loss in the AFW, and sent her into her downward spiral of losing. And here she was visiting her.

Sarah was only here becuae Rika wanted her to apologize to Akashi. Apparently the two had become quite close while Sarah was gone, something the Queen of Brawl didn't know how to feel about. She'd just have to wait and see what the outcome of this would be....

Akashi frowned when the knock came. "Sheesh. I just sat down it figures." She stood up and went to the door. She opened it and was about ti inform the person that so rudely demanded her attention that she was not interested in what they were selling.

She pulled open the door with mouth open and saw Sarah standing there. Her mouth dropped even more and her eyes widened. She couldn't believe it! She clenched her fists and stared silently, unable to come up with any words. Her heart was racing. She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out. Her clenched fist snapped forward and she launched a hard open handed slap at Sarah's cheek. Her quivering eyes barely managed to contain tears as she immediately leapt forward to hug Sarah as tightly as she could. "Sarah-san!" She cried out, her voice obviously filled with a mix of joy and relief.

She had seen her latest match but had been unable to bring herself forward in that moment. She knew they would meet soon enough and she was glad that her and RIka had made up. That was what mattered to her. She hoped that her and Sarah could patch up some differences between them as well.

As the door opened Sarah was leaning against the doorway. wearing a black t-shirt, jeans, and of course, her leather jacket. And Sarah had to stop herself from laughing at Akashi's choice of clothes. It certainly elightened the fact she was Japanese, if nothing else.

Her head then snapped to the side with the slap, much to her surprise. As a red mark appeared on her cheek, Sarah narrowed her eyes, and was about to punch Akashi in the face when the sumo suddenly threw herself at her. "H-Hey! Get off me!" Sarah shouted, struggling to push Akashi off her. "Why is everyone hugging me lately!?"

Akashi nuzzled Sarah ffectionately as she protested before pulling back. She had a wide smile on her face. "Because we missed you, baka." She said. "Believe it or not, some people care about you." She then blushed and turned her head away. "I... am one of those people.' She said, not really knowing why she was but glad that she was.

She then stepped back. "Please come in!" she said waving Sarah in and hoping she would take her offer. "It's good to have you back Sarah-san." She said the words genuinely.

Sarah finally managed to get Akashi off her, doing so in a huff. That little show of affection brought back unpleasant memories from their last match. "Yeah, whatever," Sarah muttered, brushing off the affections, but she also looked away awkwardly.

She walked into the appartment and briefly inspected the surroundings. It looked like Akashi didn't live alone. "Look, I'm not here because I want to be," she said outright. "Rika wanted me to come here to clear some stuff up." She plopped herself down on Akashi's couch.

Akashi sighed at Sarah's abrasiveness. She walked to her kitchen and opened the fridge. Normally she would offer tea, but she knew Sarah wasn't a tea kind of girl. She had taken to keeping a small amount of beer in it. She grabbed a full six pack and brought it with her. She pulled a can off and tossed it to Sarah as she plopped down next to her. She then looked at silently at Sarah for a long moment. "Sarah-San..." She began. "Why do you dislike me so much ?"

Sarah caught the beer wordlessly; she could really use a drink right now. Poppingit open Sarah took a long chug, and was still drinking when Akashi asked her question. She sighed as she removed it from her lips. "Good question," she said idly, not looking at the sumo. "Here's a better one. Why do you feel the need to like me so much?"

"like you?"She then sighed and decided it would be better if she grabbed a beer for herself. She took a long deep drink, downing most of the can in one shot. "like... actually, I kind of think you're a rude brat with an attitude problem for no good reason. I don't really like you..." She admitted. "But I still want to be your friend. If you were really as terrible a person as everyone thinks you are, I don't think Rika would be hanging around you. I mean... Sarah-San... You're definitely one of the toughest people I've met. I respect you a great deal. I definitely think we are like kindred spirits, warriors of the same ilk. That's why I try so hard to be friends with you. I feel it's important for me to get everything off my chest." She sighed and finished off her beer. "You're probably just going to tell me I'm an idiot or something. I really hope we can work things out. But even if you and I can never find common ground, Rika and I have become friends and for her sake, I hope we can be civil."

Sarah drank another sip of beer as Akashi listed her explanations. She snickered slightly when Akashi said she was a rude brat, having been called such things all her life. But then Akashi mentioned Rika, and Sarah grew solemn. In the past, Sarah never thought much of Rika. She was just a girl she had beaten up and decided to follow her. It was only when she avoided the younger brawler did she realize how much she needed her. It was a startling revalation she after brutalizing her last opponant.

"You're an idiot," Sarah said, just as Akashi had thought. She finished the rest of the bee, and crushed the can in her hand. "But you're an honest idiot." She tossed the can over her shoulder and jumped off the couch. "Come on. We're going out."
