Extracurricular Activities

Kozue stared at Femie for a moment before looking down at the piece of cake for a moment. It looked good. It smelled good. She kind of wanted a bite. Just a little taste.

She was hesitant - of course she was hesitant - but she opened her mouth, moved forward and brought the piece of cake inside, then closed her mouth again. Chewing, chewing, chewing.

"Mmm." Her eyes fluttered as her taste buds were lit up. Kozue was more a cookie sort of person, didn't usually go for cake, but this hit the spot. "That is...pretty good." She swallowed with a deep gulp.

"Mmmhmm. It's no éclair, mais, what is?" She said.

She then set her fork down and turned, resting a hand on Kozue's thigh gently. "As a professional and a friend..." Femie began. "If it's something you want to explore, I'll do what I can." She smiled softly at Kozue. "But, you don't think bad of me? I mean, we've only just met today and you're contemplating doing something I'm betting you would have fathomed doing yesterday."

Femie paused and patted Kozue's leg. "I'm safe, I'm professional and whether you say yes or no, I'll still be your friend, ok?" Femie smiled and took her fork and took another bite of her cake.

"Mon Dieu!" She chirped and rolled her eyes in delight.

There was that hand on her thigh again. Femie had a distinct with touching. And words. And looking. It was like every aspect of her body was designed to be as calming and reassuring as physically possible.

"Wouldn't know, never had an eclair." She probably tortured that word through her acceent. Kozue finally brought the plate of spaghetti over and began to eat it, starting with the meatballs. Because she felt like it. "I don't think bad of you." She emphatically shook her head. "You've been awesome since we met. Yeah, it's not been long, but some people just click, you know? We're cool together. I like this."

She began to wrap some of the spaghetti strands around her fork, rolling it up. "I feel like I can trust you. And that I want to trust you, which is pretty good, too." Kozue took a mouthful of spaghetti and wolfed it down, wishing she had some Parmesean to go with it.

She reached down and took Femie's hand in her own, lacing their fingers together and hoping her touch felt as good to Femie as Femie's felt to her. "This is a standing offer, right?"

Femie gasped at Kozue's words. She pushed her hand to her lips to hold it in, but shook her head. "Mon Dieu!" She exclaimed. "Mais, perhaps you have!" She said. "Sometimes they are also known as bear claws? Have you never had a doughnut with custard? It is... magical, but especially from Belgium. We make the best eclairs!" Now she wanted one.

Femie watched Kozue eat some spaghetti and grinned. She took small bites of her own cake and a sip of her coffee. "Well, maybe I am good at what I do then?" She questioned. "I hope so, ohoho!"

Still, she was surprised when Kozue took her hand. She blushed and squeezed just a bit, nodding. "Oui..." She said in a soft tone. "There is no pressure, mon amie." Femie then began to chortle. "Ohoho, but I certainly would not rescind such a delicious offer! Ohoho!"

"Oh, fuck!" Kozue snapped her fingers. "Bear claws, yeah, those I know. I'll smash a bear claw all day long. Used to be this little shop by my house that made them." She licked her lips at the memory and stuffed another spoonful of spaghetti down her throat. "Kind of want to see how a Jersey bear claw stacks up against a Belgian eclaire, now..." She had a slight smile as an idea passed through her head, but she'd keep it to herself.

"But yeah, you're the best therapist I've met. Which is sorta automatic, since you're the only one, but still. I'd say you're top notch." Kozue gulped down the root beer and enjoyed the little squeeze from Femie. It was nice to be desired, even if it wasn't from someone she expected. "And I appreciate the patience. Just want to make sure my head is on right before I try something like...that." She spoke about it like she was about to go bungie jumping. Could be an amazing experience, could be a terrifying one, could be somewhere in between.

She spared a quick glance at an elderly couple on the other side of the aisle who were trying hard not to let Kozue know they were looking at her. She did. She smiled. She winked. And then, she turned back to Femie and forgot about them. "So, when we do this, if we do this, where do you want to meet for it?"

"Ohoho, well, merci." Femie said, nodding in appreciation again. "Mais, your bearclaw would not stack up. We have been makkicn eclairs longer than you have been a country! Ohoho!"

"And, of course." Femie said, running an encouraging thumb over Kozue's hand. "I am always about making thins as comfortable as possible. We're all hear for enjoyable experiences, and they should be that way, non?"

She then paused. "I'm sure we could find a ring in the Friction facility. Or, if we go late enough." She said. "You would prefer a ring, oui?" She said. "I think I would as well. We'll just have to be crafty about it. Ohoho!"

Kozue let go of Femie's hand - she eventually would, anyway, and it was reaching awkward levels. "Yeah, a plain ring'll do just fine. Though I didn't know there were multiple options. Kind of half-afraid/half-intrigued." She took an ice cube in her mouth and let it melt, already letting a few ideas on the night run through her head, one of which made her chuckle out loud.

"But I can get down with that." She held up her glass. "To enjoyable experiences."

If Kozue had ever offered a toast before, she couldn't remember it. Felt fancy and right.

"Ohoho, well they do have plenty of spare "bed wrestling" sets we could sneak into!" Femie teased. "Though I do not prefer that." She shook her head, letting her curls waggle around her shaking head.

She raised an eyebrow at Kozue's sudden toast and lifted up her coffee. Not the best toasting vessel but it would do in a pinch. "Oui, oui!" She exclaimed. "Laissez les bon temps rouler!"
