Molting

Brittany tried to ignore Jess but it seemed like the girl wasn't going to leave Brittany alone. Brittany looked over at Jess as the girl showed off her new pants. "Yeah, you look great." Brittany said as gave Jess a quick look over before resuming her browsing of the store. "Is that all you need? If you want to show off your ass to people i am sure there are better ways." Brittany said before taking a deep breathe to try and calm herself before she became too angry.

Karisma smiled politely at Jess when she miled, giving a knowing bow of her head as she noticed Brittany. While there would always be a part of Karisma that reviled not being the center of attention at all times, Brittany WAS the more famous of the two as far as who might know her of the masses. This was an experiment of sorts. Aside form just getting some new clothes, this would be a good test for the viper.

Unfortunately, things didn't seem to be going very well. Brittany was obviously trying to control herself but the fact that Brittany even HAD to control herself was a problem. Karisma stepped forward and slipped a position where she was facing both of them.

"I think you have chosen smartly." Karsima said truthfully to the girl. She turned and looked at Brittany. "Beauty understands beauty." She said. "She is not some disgusting heathen. She is a woman of taste. Maybe she is beneath you, but she is no peasant. Please, mind yourself. You waste too much energy getting upset that could be put to better use. It is the duty of everyone else to be upset... that they are not you." Karisma said, chastising Brittany a bit.

Karisma then turned to Jess. "Is leather in season?" She asked. "I feel that the natural curve should be enhanced, rather than shown off." Karisma gestured towards Brittany. "As you can no doubt tell, she has body that demands to be flaunted. I think that something similar might inspire envious thoughts in others. More than it already does." Karisma said as she made a motion, gesturing down Jess' thigh.

Jess wrinkled her nose at Brittany, and smiled at Karisma. "Thanks," she said. "Girl, on stage? Everything's in season."

She stepped into a small changing area and pulled a curtain around her in a semi-circle, and she began the considerable task of pulling the skin-tight leather pants off. "You're doing some shopping for your girl?" She asked from behind the curtain. "Well, I don't think we're the same size, but... You can definitely find some good stuff here. This place is legit. I'm Jess, by the way. Are you with AFW too?"

She poked her head out from behind the curtain and raised a coy eyebrow at Karisma.

A very faint breath of laughter escaped Karisma's lips at Jess' words. She nodded. Indeed. The clothes did help make the woman, but in the end, Karisma was convinced that she could make anything shine beautifully. That didn't mean she was going to stop wearing the most beautiful and exotic clothes she could, however.

"It's time for a new ring outfit." Karisma stated simply. "I believe she's outgrown it. The seasons change and so must we all." Karisma said as she let her hand flitter into the air, almost dismissively.

"I am." Karisma said. "Karisma Zahin, the Jewel of the AFW and all of India." She stated like ti was a title bestowed to her by a higher power. In her mind, it might as well have been. She flashed Jess a smile and nodded her head.

"And you?" She asked. "How do you occupy yourself in a way that gives you the discerning eye you appear to have?" Karisma asked, raising her eyebrow.

"Oh, wow, yeah. Totally."

Jess sounded impressed before swishing the curtain back open, now clad instead in a pair of flashy, skin-tight jeans. She handed the folded leather pants to the shop keeper to set them aside.

"Oh, like what do I do? Well, I'm a dancer, but I'm sort of between gigs right now. Funny thing, though... For now, I'm an AFW wrestler too!" She laughed delightedly and put a hand on Karisma's shoulder, as if for support. "Small world, right?"

She turned to Brittany and pointed an inquisitive finger. "And... You're in AFW too? Wow, I guess there are a lot of us packed into this end of Tokyo!"

Brittany was looking at clothes again when Jess pointed her finger at Brittany. "Yes, i am part of the AFW. I am kinda surprised you haven't heard of me. I am Brittany the Viper Luvve. I am the former Entropy and Hardcore champion. Also i used to date Morrigan." Brittany said as she turned to look at Karisma.

"So, are we going the leather route with my new wardrobe because i find leather a bit stiffing during a match." Brittany said as she could imagine herself sweating in skintight leather while wrestling someone.

"I can find beauty in dancing." Karisma said simply. She liked Jess' way about her. Brittany could learn a bit from the way that she carried herself. The Indian jewel gave Jess another nod. "Indeed, what intriguing serendipity that brings people together." Karisma then turned and looked over Brittany.

"Stifling? Have you worn leather in a match?" She asked. "Or at all?" Karisma raised an eyebrow. "You'll find it to be a second skin after you get used to it. The constraint will become freedom." She stated simply. "What you were wearing was too bulky. you don't need armor to weigh you down. Especially armor that serves to cover nothing..." Karisma shook her head a bit.

She turned and began looking over the pants. "At least try something on before you dismiss it. I know change is hard, but do you want to have a uselessly inflated ego, or do you want to be the best? Right now." Karisma said. "I would think that even this girl could take you on." Karisma said, waving her fingers at Jess, even though she knew nothing of the woman's skill. Really, she needed to keep prickling Brittany to see how well she stood up to an ego bruising.

"Oh, leather's not as bad as you might think!" Jess explained enthusiastically. "Just to wear around, they're always great, and for a match you'd just put them on, do your match, and take them off a half-hour later. Sure, you'd get sweaty, but you'd look crazy hot!"

She tried to laugh off Karisma's remark about her. She had a lot of fun wrestling, but she didn't carry around that kind of ego, nor the skills to back it up. She'd never just claim to be able to take somebody, especially not someone as intense-looking as Brittany.

"I don't know about thaaat... But I bet you some of my friends could give you a run for your money! Like Mai Nagasawa, and Taylor Parker..."

She looked back at the pair of leather pants she had put down and ran her fingers along the material. "Actually, for the ring you could get something custom. Like, you can do these little perforations? You wouldn't really see them, but they'd help keep you cool. Or maybe you want people to see them," she added with a smile and a suggestive eyebrow.

Brittany was only half listening to Jess as she looked through clothes. "I will take your word for it." Brittany said as she continued to ignore Jess. However, as soon as Jess mention Taylor Parker, Brittany's eye twitch for a second. "Excuse me, who did you say your friends were?" Brittany said as she turned to face Jess as Jess had just earned Brittany's full attention.

"Ooooh?"

karisma's lips formed a devious smile at Jess' list of friends. She only knew of Mai, but she certainly knew Taylor Parker. How that girl could rub elbows with Jess was a bit perplexing to think about. Karisma liked Jess. At least from what she had seen. She supposed that even someone like Taylor must have a diamond in the rough amongst her compatriots though. As Kelly did with Karisma, and, soon enough, Brittany.

Her eyes focused curiously on the blonde. She could already see the gears grinding away, thinking about how to make the worst decisions and let her temper flare up. She wasn't going to get in the way for now. Brittany needed to be able to handle herself in public. Karisma was mentoring her, but she was no babysitter.

"Mmmm, custom leather. That might satisfy a need for class as well as a desire for ... uniqueness..." Karisma said, almost offhandedly. "What do you think?" She asked Brittany, smiling all the while.
