Exciting news

I'm not sure which idea is better. Choosing at random would make it more of a surprise and possibly a challenge, but picking opponents with history would be good for storyline sorta things. I'm good for whichever you choose in the end.

I'm going to have to bow out of this one. I'm just not on regularly enough to participate.

Also, Vicky want's to know when this starts. I don't know everything, but her and John are apperently going through something and she's having... 'issues' with coming back on.

HOW THE TOURNAMENT WORKS:

Its going to be a standard tournament... as in 16 wrestlers fight, 8 winners move on to next round and then fight, 4 winners move on etc... However to give people a chance to still take part if they suffer an early exit from the tournament, I will be running a number 1 contendership tournament for the belt in parallel.

So the first round of the tournament happens as usual.. 16 wrestlers facing in 1 on 1 competition. The 8 winners move on, but the 8 losers now create the entry list in the #1 contendership tournament (So in the next month of playing we will have 8 wrestlers going for the title and 8 going for the number contendership spot).

In the next month it will again be 1 on 1 competition... The winners continue on in their respective tournaments, the losers in the #1 contendership race gets completely eliminated... However the 4 losers in the main title race tournament will be entered into the #1 contendership race (so if you are good with maths, there will be 4 wrestlers left in the main tourny, 8 in the #1 contendership and 4 eliminated wrestlers).

From then on I'll just let the tournaments run their course as usual. Any losers from then on are eliminated completely. Hopefully that didn't confuse too many people.. here a list month by month as to what will happen:


Month 1
Round 1 of main tourny: 16 wrestlers

Month 2
Quarter finals of main tourny: the 8 winners from Round 1
Round 1 of #1 contendership: the 8 losers from Round 1 (4 losers from these matches will be eliminated completely)

Month 3
Semi finals of main tourny: the 4 winners from Quarter finals (2 losers from these matches will be eliminated completely)
Round 2 of #1 contendership: the 4 winners from Round 1 of #1 contendership face the 4 losers from quarter finals (4 losers from these matches will be eliminated completely)

Month 4
Finals of main tourny: the 2 winners from semi finals (AFW champion crowned)
Semi finals of #1 contendership: the 4 winners from Round 2 of #1 contendership (2 losers from these matches will be eliminated completely)

Month 5
Finals of #1 contendership: the 2 winners from Semi finals of #1 contendership (#1 contender named and given a shot at title)

Might do it tommorrow... I'm leaning towards setting it up random, but I will have a closer look at who I might put together if I was to choose and then decide
