At the cost of betraying poor Daaharu, I'm coming around to the Rio suggestion and will cast my vote for that one instead. I still think the Alaska idea is great, though, so I'll hold out hope that we can use it for some other event, at some other time.

For killcarrion's concern regarding Rio's crime rate: crime is only rampant in the city's Favelas, not around the touristy locales that the wrestlers and events will certainly be situated in. Even in the segments of the city where crime rates are high, there's been some fairly vigorous effort by the Brazilian government to fight crime in these areas, specifically in the interest of protecting the tourists that are driving more and more of their economy as time goes on.

Besides, the wrestlers in this league aren't helpless tourists. They can defend themselves, but as long as they don't wander into the slums, they won't need to.

Earth is overrated, we should host Summer Splash on the beaches of Besaid, or maybe Madora Beach (the one in Legend of Mana, not the real Madora Beach. I don't know anything about the real Madora Beach.)

But since most of AFW already takes place on Earth, I guess Rio sounds nice. Or maybe the Galapagos Islands.
