Topic: Wrestling?

As someone who isn't much of an Oiled fan, I think it's good for the three young pups to have a vet in there with them. It's a good chance to see if Oiled can do something like that. I think he's really matured a bit and maybe they are starting to use him more as a mentor.

Honestly I feel like the wrestling overall has lost it's edge slowly. I've always enjoyed the straight cut promos from the earlier days where you had only a few minutes to promote your match to the public. You had to be sure you mentioned the location, the place, the time, and talk a little bit about your match as though your delivering a message to your foe. It was pretty cut and dry, and it left a lot of people on the edge of their seats in anticipation waiting for the match to take place.

Randy is a rare breed of wrestling though. I still remember seeing his dad running around with a cast on his left forearm hammering away at his opponents in the ring during the 80s. It doesn't hurt to have someone who is familiar with the business to participate into it. I still remember how stiff he was when he started out. Their wasn't much flavor to his persona until Evolution came along. By that point his career really took off.

This is probably a stretch, but this scenario came up in my head and now I want it to be a thing.

Ambrose wins at the ppv. Seth comes out and demands his champion's rematch. Orton and Reigns come out and say they also deserve a shot. Orton vs Reigns for third slot in the main event of Raw. Reigns wins. Bam. Shield ppv match.

Maybe more is simply not possible at the moment. After thinking a little bit about my clash with Tai some weeks ago, I think he may be right and the wrestling I loved(80s, ruthless Aggression, new Generation, WCW side of attitute area and even the beginning of PG with WWE-ECW) is simply gone and all that is left for me is a lukewarm shadow with some highlights and much more piss-poor crap than in any era before, although with the exception that the crap is not enjoyable because it is so silly but simply lame reality crap.

Ok, everyone. Here's something to consider. Why don't you list your top ten wrestlers? It's something I did on another forum and I was pretty surprised with my choices. I have people from nearly every era, including the current one.

It was actually kind of a struggle for me to get to 10  personally.

I don't believe I stated it had to be.

My personal best list includes only part timers from wrestlers still active. Cesaro, Bryan and Rollins have not made the top 10 list yet, and there are so many great guys I would have included too instead of Lesnar. Orton, Booker T and Jake Roberts for example, and I have no profound knowledge of Japanese or Luchador wrestling.

Ambrose especially, but Sandow to a lesser extent get me as excited today as Ultimate Warrior did when i was a wee lad. I think that's as good enough as any reason to put them in a top ten.

For me, it's about who entertained me the most and that's pretty much all that matters. Who was able to evoke emotions in me on a fairly consistent basis.
