If you have one character with the ability to do a DDT, its just one pic right? ..Wrong
If you have 10 characters and 1 of them can do a DDT you need to have a pic of that character DDTing each of the others (so 9 DDT pics). And if any of the other characters can perform a DDT, then you end up with 9 pics for each of them doing the same move (so 3 characters able to use a DDT results in 27 pics of a DDT that need to be created). This is why games like wrestle angels or home made games reuse generic pics to save space/time or use pics different models in exactly the same positions.

So just to clarify, the three suggestion I gave you wasn't to combat the issue of having too many pics that look alike... But rather to combat the issue that one person will struggle to make hundreds of pics without using some kind of generic template for most moves.

The reason I mentioned having different styles, is because one of the possible solutions would be to use a number of different artists... On another board a few years ago when I was learning C#, I mentioned that idea but was given the impression that people would not like the random changing in styles from one pic to he next... To counter that, I came up with the idea that each artist is allocated a specific wrestler, with the style being an indication of the characters personality. Anyway, that's a mute point as there are not many artists here.


Also despite the name of this thread, I am not certain whether I will be using AFW characters with people's consent... Or just make up a new set of characters. I'm leaning towards making original characters or perhaps using the original characters of artists.
