Fidi Escalia Vs. Selene Elpis

Fidi maneuvered her way deep into the roots, panting in the water as bubbles floated to the surface. she pulled up her tail and cradled it. She felt Selene's grip and wince d a bit. Though her tail didn't hurt, she knew that she couldn't allow her fellow Lamia to get a true grip on her tail. She rubbed it superficially before scanning the murky water with her eyes. She wouldn't be able to hide forever but hopefully she would be able to keep Selene at bay until she could think of a good plan.

When the mud settled back into the bottom of the lake, it revealed the form of a very irrate
Selene as the Lamia seethed in anger. She would charge into the roots, almost ripping some in half with the speed she was going at as she began for her search for the other Lamia. Looking in every nook and cranny, Selene was having little sucess as there were so many hiding spots in mass of roots as she would grow even more frustrated, "Come out and fight me Nossssscale!" Selene shouted into the roots as she continued her search, hoping that this wouldn't turn into a game of hide and seek.

Fidi never stopped moving. She head the thrashing and growling of her angered kin behind her and just tried to make sure she stayed out of Selene's grasp. "Why s-s-should I?' She called back. "It wouldn't be a fight. You'd jus-s-st be beating on me!" She froze, wide eyed when she came to the side of the temple. She turned around and got quiet. Hopefully she could hide from Selene, otherwise, she might be cornered.

Her reptilian eyes shifting back and forward trying to find her cowardly opponent that shamed the name of Lamia, she had heard the voice of Fidi but couldn't discern where it came from as it greatly aggravated her as she became more fierce in her search for Fidi smashing into the roots to hopeful find Fidi. She no such luck as tiny bits of wood floated around her, yet no sign of Fidi. "Raaaaaah!" Selene roared, she was not in a pleasant mood as Fidi had temporarily given her the slip. Not wanting to see anymore of the roots, Selene decided to search in a different method as she would swim out of the roots. Maybe, Fidi had gone above water somewhere Selene thought as she headed for the surface.

Breaching the murky water, Selene took a moment to figure out where she was. Seeing a massive stone wall nearby, Selene had discovered she had made her way back to the temple as it loomed over her, covering her with its shadow. After remembering that she was searching for Fidi, Selene would begin to flick her snake tongue, seeing if she could taste Fidi's scent in the air.

Fidi tried to catch her breath in her underwater cove. But still. She had run and seemingly had lost Selene. She no longer heard the thrashing or the angry yelling. But she couldn't stay here forever. She had to fight. Taking a deep breath, she looked up and slowly drifted to the surface. She peeked around carefully before looking at the stone wall. Maybe higher ground would help her out? She then thought of something. The wall was not evenly built and had hand holds. She would try and climb upwards but soon realized her tail was getting int he way. She closed her eyes and pressed along the rock before her tail split and fashioned itself into legs. She would then try and start climbing up the wall, looking around briefly for Selene before ascending upwards to try and get to the top of the steps.

Selene swam at a slow pace, looking back and forward while flicking her tongue in and out of her mouth. She wasn't getting anything, all she was tasting was the putrid taste of this murky swamp and everything in it. Growling softly with frustration, Selene continued to look for Fidi in the dark swamp, having no idea that the girl was climbing behind her as she swam off in the other direction. Selene was thinking that while she was preoccupied in the roots, Fidi had swam off as fast as she could like the coward she was and had gotten great distance from her. Figuring that looking on the other side of the temple would be helpful, Selene swam off to look for her prey.

Fidi got to the top of the steps and looked around. She knew that Selene wouldn't be far behind or would catch her scene eventually. So she padded towards the entrance to the temple and looked around. It was dusty and grimy in the temple and Fidi sniffed around with her nose before wrinkling it. The human nose only smelled dust so she stuck her tongue out. She only tasted dust and then let out a soft sneeze.

Deciding it was better to change back, she reformed her tail and began to stick her forked tongue out to taste the air. She looked around the antechamber and her eyes widened as she took the musky room in.

While looking on the other side of the temple, Selene found a flight of stairs that lead up to the temple. Swimming towards the stairs, she would then slither up them in order to get to the top of the temple. It took Selene a while to make her way up the stairs, though it was slightly hard with her tail but she decided that taking the time to transform into her legs would be useless when she found Fidi. Upon reaching the top of the stairs, Selene found the entrance to the temple as she flicked her tongue to smell the air. Her eyes widened as she caught Fidi's scent amongst the dust and quickly started to slither into the temple to find the coward Lamia. However, Selene wasn't subtle at all as her slithering could be heard along with the water dripping from her hair as she began to unintentionally start to hiss.

Fidi could feel Selene's approach. She darted away from the entrance. In this room, she might be trapped and that wouldn't be good at all. She scanned the room and saw tall candelabras, about five feet tall. Thin poles with a base supporting it. Three holders branching out at the top. She grabbed it and slithered back around towards Selene. now she could have her chance! If she could manage to get the drop on Selene, she would try and slam the candelabra across Selene's head.

Selene slither her way into the antechamber as the Lamia would see that the room was pretty old and musky, not surprising since the temple was broken down like this. From what she saw there was no other way out from this chamber beside the entrance she was currently in. This meant that Fidi would have no other way to escape from this place and with that knowledge, Selene rushed in expecting to find Fidi to be fought. However when she came into the room, the first thing she saw was a object heading towards her face as the impact would force Selene to fall face first into the floor as she didn't expect a sneak attack like that, as she would have to take a few moments to recover, leaving Fidi to do what she wanted to.
