Disorder and Disarray

Johnny scratched his head as sat back stage. It was just a few days earlier when he fought Fabg and he was already scheduled for his next match. It was a two on one with Eagle and Shay, the ones who had double teamed him after the match and put him through a table.

He had ended up with a concussion and was now waiting for the match to begin. He still Had a little bit of time before it started. His doctors had not medically cleared him, so he still had to make a tough choice about what to do next.

In his heart he felt he had to go out there and take it to the two meddling vixens. He had more reasons not to do it than do it, but there was something inside him that burned to compete.

Taylor slouched on a couch against one wall, hands stuffed in the pockets of her sweatshirt, and glared at Johnny. She had been in that exact position since arriving at Tension with her injured husband.

After his last match, when he was jumped by Shay and Eagle, Taylor had smashed Shay's face and sent the whole group running. She didn't mind doing it, since they all deserved a beating, but the one she was really furious with was Johnny.

But with his state, beaten up and concussed, she had had to revert to her role as a caring wife, and stow her rage away to a later date. It's what was best... For Johnny, at least. Now, a few days later, just before a match that seemed like utter lunacy, Taylor couldn't hold it in anymore.

"Johnny..." She said, in a low voice that set off alarm bells in her husbands head.

Johnny had all but tried to avoid Taylor since they arrived. She'd insisted she come along rather than take her usual spot in the crowd. He knew why, but he also wish she understood. If there was anyone I the world who should, it should be her.

That didn't make the situation any less tense.

When Taylor finally spoke, Johnny lifted his head. "Babe, I gotta do this, man..."

Taylor snorted, hands still in her pockets. "Do what? Grab their tits and kick 'em in the junk on your way to committing suicide?"

"If I have to." Johnny growled. "Fang's done. She's not going to mess with me anymore and she's not going to stop me from getting my hands on King, dude. No one else gives a shit about what he does around here or, if they try, they get double or triple teamed. Fuck that, man."

Johnny looked up at Taylor. "If I've got to be a little rough with those chicks, then fine. They sure don't give a shit about smashing MY nuts, man!"

Johnny sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "I dunno how to make those chicks see how shitty King is other than beating them down..." Johnny frowned and then looked up at Taylor. "I'm sorry, babe."

Taylor snorted again. "I don't think that's gonna work. You can't out-bad guy the bad guys. Smashing Fang's tits is not gonna make them turn on King and come running to you."

Her voice remained low and harsh, but she kept her cool. She had decided before that she wasn't going to yell. The last thing they needed was a shouting match just before the stupid suicide match. And she wasn't even worried about what the girls could do to Johnny. She was worried about what Johnny might do to them.

<You're losing your head, Junichi,> she said in her accented Japanese. <Don't lose your head. I'll jump in if I have to, but I'd rather it not be to fend you off and save the girls. Know what I mean?>

Johnny narrowed his eyes as Taylor spoke. He stood up and shook his head. "I don't want them to come runnin to me!" Johnny barked and began to pace while Taylor began to speak in Japanese, at length. It was something she rarely did.

Johnny smoldered a bit but turned his head for a moment. "It's fight them now or get triple teamed when I fight King..." He looked back at Taylor. "Do you think I want to do it this way?" Johnny asked. "Do you think I like doing that? I'm not Mamouru."

"They can't triple team you if you beat them in a match now? If you do bad shit to them now and fight dirty, you think they'll just back off?" Taylor shook her head. "I'm all for you fighting these chicks, but you gotta get it straight. Figure out what you wanna get from the whole fuckin'... mess."

Taylor finally stood up from the couch and pulled her hands out of her pockets, but stood still.

"Yes!" Johnny said. "If I beat them down, they're banned from the arena when I fight King. Maybe it doesn't mean much, but it's something. I haven't cheated or anything like that, man." Johnny tried to explain.

"What I want is to show King he can't do whatever the fuck he wants in this league. That if he tries his shit, that there's someone who isn't just gonna let that shit fly. That he can't fucking hide behind the same chicks he'd fuck if he beat them in a match. The whole things fucking bent as fuck and I'm going to teach him a lesson one way or another..."

Johnny paused for a moment. "Even if it means... Even if it means..."

Johnny's fist clenched and as he neared the wall he was pacing by, he punched it as hard as he could. "I had your back when you wanted to do somethin crazy!"

Taylor planted her hands on her hips and just shook her head with a scowl. She was... disappointed. Which hurt her just about as much as it would Johnny.

...Until he tried to turn it around on her. She gasped, and her sharp features suddenly came alive. Her eyes blazed, and she waved her finger sternly at Johnny.

"And I fought it FUCKING CLEAN!" Just like that, her promise to herself was broken. "Are you trying to be like me, or the other girls. Here, I thought you were a Higurashi, but after the last match, you look more like a fucking BUNNY!" She gave him a shove.
