Stone vs. Blaise Cameron - Making a Stand

Suzumi looked over Amy and Blaise. "Medical might not be a bad option for both of ya, but you know your bodies like, way better than anyone else so the final call is yours." Suzumi said with a grin. She knew that even if they needed it, everyone had that measure of 'I'm fine' pride that kept them from being smart about things. Still... she didn't want to force them into doing something they didn't want to do.

"Next time you guys can come to my place and relax. We'll just have to go out and totally trash other bullies to celebrate properly!" Suzumi said as she rest her head against Blaise's shoulder. Once he mentioned Julia Curtis she looked over at Amy...

"Oh my God you are like, totally right!" Suzumi squealed in a higher pitched tone than either of them had likely heard in a long time. "Juuuuuuuulia Cuuuuuurtis!"

Blaise usually had a knack for reading Amy, so he must have been pret-ty beat up for him to have missed that fist bump. Instead of reciprocating, he threw a heavy arm around her shoulders and leaned in. Amy ignored the protests erupting all over her battered body as she helped Suzumi guide Blaise down to Suzumi's car. "I don't know who this Julia Curtis is, but she sounds like a stone-cold fox," Amy grunted. This was good, though; the last time Blaise was in the ring with the Valkyries, he had spent the next few days in a deep blue funk. This time was different; he was just as beaten up, but he was bright, he was sunny, and he was babbling like a happy baby. True, Blaise had pulled out a win this time around, but, even if he had lost, Amy suspected that Suzumi would have perked Blaise right back up before he even had a chance to fall into that sunless abyss. She was good for him, and, if her recent ear-shattering shriek was any indication, they shared similar levels of energy. Amy started to grin again, even as she struggled under Blaise's weight.

Once the couple were safely inside Suzumi's car, Amy leaned over so that she could look through the windows. "Congratulations again, Blaise; you earned it."
Then, to Suzumi: "It was nice meeting you, Suzumi. And we should definitely hang; you can get my number from Blaise here when he's less goofy." She waved goodbye as she watched the car pull out of the lot. Then Amy limped back inside. Amy usually felt completely safe on the public transportation lines that she usually took home, but tonight... well, it wouldn't hurt to be a little extra cautious. Amy pulled out her phone and dialed a number. Then she held the phone up to her ear.

"Suzumi." She said out loud as the call rang. "Mizusu. Mufasuuhhhh." The receiver clicked. "Hey Army. Did you leave already? Can I stay over tonight?"

Blaise is not doing too hot, in terms of awareness of clear-thinking right now. He's exhausted; it's been both a physical and mental rollercoaster tonight, and he's very grateful to have the two ladies helping him hobble along to the car.

Even when Suzumi squeals.

"Aack!" Blaise ducks his head slightly, then dolls it against Suzumi's. "Aheh. Knew you'd see the resemblance." He asides to Amy, "And yes. Julia's hot." That's how it came up in the first place, after all - Suzumi's fault.

Blaise doesn't get a chance to change into something publicly-appropriate. No, he and his mighty wrassler-speedo are going for a ride in Suzumi's undoubtedly posh car. He doesn't care - not about the wardrobe, anyway. For as worn out and pained as he is, tonight was a good night. He just wishes it wasn't peppered with Amy getting hurt. Everyone could've done without that.

'Poor Amy.'

She puts on a tough front, but it has to suck. He's never been jumped before. That kind of thing has to kill a person's sense of security. And while he makes a mental note to find some way to ensure her mood doesn't dip into a dark place, he can't help but think about what may be in his own future.

That look from Mako. She's not done. And if she'd send her goons to straight up assault Amy, what would she do to him for that public display?

When Amy leans in to offer her congratulations, she's met with a warm, gentle smile. Blaise lifts a hand and haphazardly, but affectionately, paws it against her face - more or less at her cheek. "Thanks. Still not a straight win, but this... I think this might'a been the better way for now."

Settling back into the seat, the teen lets his eyes drift shut. The wear and tear is catching up to him; he's going to sleep like a brick when he actually nods off. "Let's go, beautiful," he purrs to Suzumi.

Maybe Mako really will just back off. Maybe tonight was enough to end their budding reign of terror.

Or maybe things are about to get seriously out of hand.
