Beat the Clock Challenge 3: Sandalwood Cooper Vs. Taylor Parker

Taylor took off for the ropes at Sandalwood's side as the rookie began to stagger up to her feet. By the time she was upright, Taylor was already in the air.

She landed with both feet on the top rope and sprung off, twisting in the air and bringing one leg arcing around in a gigantic downward-angled roundhouse kick to the back of Sandalwood's head.

Smack! The sound of Taylor's boot hitting the girl's skull echoed to the back row.

Crunch.

Sandalwood hit the mat. Her head felt heavy. What had hit her? Had someone thrown something at her? She put one arm down. Up and at 'em. No time for sleeping! Up, Sandalwood, up! This was easy. Walk in the park! Other arm down. Hup! Hup! Hurry up! Clock's ticking, up up up! Did she taste metal? Hrm. She may be bleeding from the nose. That would be bad, probably.

This was taking longer than last time, getting up, she meant. That was annoying. She had to dropkick this Taylor person in the face, still. Yeah, that would be awesome. Frickin' rad. Hup! Up on one knee. Here we go, almost there, almost ready to frickin' annihilate this annoying little...

Taylor landed facing Angel and gave her a wink. She took a moment to take a deep bow before hopping into the ropes and rebounding off to sprint back toward Sandalwood as she got up to one knee.

Perfect!

Taylor charged at full speed and planted a foot in Sandal's hip, using her like a step, and launched terrible, cringe-inducing knee strike up into the newcomer's jaw.

Sandalwood looked up as Taylor ran at her. She blinked. Hmm. She was moving pretty fast. What was this sly fox planning...

Crack.

Sandalwood fell over backwards. Things were suddenly kinda dark. Kinda... black. Did she get knocked out? Yeah. She had just gotten knocked out.

With that last thought, the thoroughly bemused Sandalwood fell into the welcoming arms of unconsciousness.

Taylor pounced on her fallen opponent and laid on her back across her chest, leaning her head back and counting on her fingers in the air above her. She didn't bother to hook a leg.

"One!" The ref slapped the mat, Taylor put up one finger, and the crowd counted with them.

Sandalwood was, well... a little bit on the unconscious side at the moment. She did not stir.

"Two!"

"Three!"

Lukretia rang the bell when the final count was slapped down. The German GM then stood up and pointed to the clock counting down on the AFWTron. It was stopped at one minute and twenty five seconds. Soon the match time began flashing on the huge screen.


"Looks like Ms. Parker has clocked ze best time, beating our rookie champion in a mere thirty four seconds und is ze vinner of zis beat ze clock challenge!"

Taylor ruffled Sandalwood's hair before jumping to her feet. She found Angel on the outside of the ring and swaggered up to the ropes above her. She turned up her nose and gave the champ a look that was both nonchalant and unconscionably smug.

She clapped the dust off of her hands with a sly, lopsided sneer.

Angel was leaning back against the barricade near the crowd, watching the match with her arms folded over her chest, when Taylor got the pin and picked up the quick win.

How good for her!

She looked up at Taylor as the blonde stepped up to the ropes, and smirked back up at her, pushing off the barricade towards the ring, giving her a shrug.

"I guess congrats are in order." She smiled mockingly up at Taylor. "You were finally able to beat a champion, huh? I hope she wasn't too hard for you, chica."

Taylor dabbed her fingers against her forehead to check for sweat. Pretty dry.

"Nah. But I saw you had some trouble against the world's worst pro wrestler. That's gotta be so embarrassing!" Taylor grinned. "But hey, that's my third ex-champion straight. I'd love to stick another ex-champ on my record, if you're recovered from that elbow..."
