Can I Come Over?

Taylor tried her very best to stay focused on not letting Nikolette punch her in the face. She found out pretty quickly that the Croatian girl hit pretty damn hard, but she also figured out that she loaded up her punches. She put her feet to work and tried to frustrate her on the outside, and then crowd her back and fight on the inside where she couldn't properly set herself to knock Taylor's head off. It was tiring, kind of fun, but while she flitted around the ring and unloaded blazing fast punches, her heart wasn't in it.

She felt unusually exhausted afterward. She thanked Nikolette for her help and took a quick shower, and then made a stop at her old bench in the grass alongside the walkway out the side entrance. She let her damp hair hang loose around her face and doffed her gym bag on the ground and kicked it under the bench. She sat in the same spot she had so many times, what seemed like so long ago, where she used to ruminate over all the potential disasters that seemed to keep pace with her life every step of the way. Today felt like a day straight out of 2011.

She knew she'd beat Nikolette in a fight. She couldn't underestimate her, because she could certainly knock her out in a hurry, but she knew what she would have to do to take her out. That was fine. She didn't care. Adrian hung like a dark cloud over her tiny oasis, blotting out the sun, and Taylor couldn't bring herself to look up. Another day. There was no point in killing herself over Adrian when she had bigger problems at hand.

Like what she had just done to Morrigan. Obviously, she was far from perfect. Both of them were. Taylor couldn't help but empathize even more with Cassie, though the situations were different. Morrigan felt like her Dark Angel. She only wanted to help, but she couldn't stop her from doing what she did. How could she help her and fight her at the same time?

But that didn't matter. That had nothing to do with what Taylor had done. She couldn't remember ever having lost control and laid into anyone like that before. She had wanted blood. She had been out to hurt Morrigan, and... she did. And now Taylor felt gutted. The lowest of low. There was nothing she could do but grovel and beg forgiveness and hope Morrigan didn't just get Brittany to come decapitate her.

She thumbed around her phone like a worry stone for several minutes before she found the energy to call someone. Akashi. She hesitated a moment, and then settled for a text.

Hey are you home? Can I come over?

I could use some big sister time

Akashi slumped against the couch. She closed her eyes and groaned as the television blared in the background. The Natsu Hanbasho was on and it was usually the most exciting time of Akashi's year outside of her own wrestling career. It was the big Tokyo Sumo tournament and she had tickets for every round.

This time, however, she just couldn't bring herself to go. It would be the first tournament that her eldest brother Kajinousuke would not be in in basho in... as long as she could remember. It seemed that way, at least. She just didn't have the energy or enthusiasm to go. At least not in the first round. She'd go to the last few days to cheer for her other brothers but right now she was just wallowing a bit and pouting.

When her phone buzzed, she picked it up and saw it was Taylor. She smiled and immediately thumbed back a reply.

Cassie not here ;( have some food though!

Taylor often took the long job from Friction to Akashi's house, but not today. Today was a perfect day for a cab. She didn't have the energy to do anything, though a run would've taken her mind off things for a while. There was nothing quite like the blank slate that came with a long run. Of course, Taylor hated distance running. Wasn't her style.

When she arrived, she gave the door bell a half-hearted ring.

Ding... dong.

She leaned her forehead against the door and pawed at the button again.

Ding... dong.

When the door opened, she flopped face down on the floor at Akashi's feet like a wet noodle.

"Kashiiii..." She whined. "I... I really fucked up. Help."

Akashi rolled off her couch and hopped up when she heard the door bell. She put a pep in her step made it to the door quickly, opening it and watching Taylor ooze tot he ground.

"Eh?" She said, tilting her head. She leaned over and slipped her hands into Taylor's armpits and hoisted her up. "Imouto-chan?" She said, "I couldn't believe for a second that you messed up." She said teasing with a bright smile.

"Kick off your shoes." She said as she began to literally drag Taylor towards the couch. "Tell me what happened and I'll get you some food for your stomach. I made chicken!" She chirped as she plopped Taylor onto her couch.

"Shaddap."

Taylor toed at the heels of her sneakers, but only one came off. Once she was dragged into the living room, she gave up on shoe number two.

"Uuuhhhhhhhhgn..." She groaned pitifully, and promptly rolled off the couch. She landed on the floor with a heavy splat. "Shoot me in the fucking faaace." Her voice was muffled somewhat by the floor. She lay as she fell, one arm pinned under her body her forehead and cheek mashed against the floor, one leg out straight and the other bent at the knee with her remaining sneaker hung up on the couch cushion.

"Kashi, I got fired. From Asia Youth. For being a total, fucking, fuck-up, failure of a fucktard."

"Whaaat!?" Akashi called out from the kitchen as she scooped some rice into a bowl and then poured some of the chicken she had made over that. She grabbed some chopsticks and then frowned when she came into the living room. She pulled Taylor's sneaker off and then set the bowl of food on Taylor's chest.

"But, you're great and the kids love you!" She said. "How could they kick you out?!" Akashi shook her head. "That's just silly! You're one of the kindest, good hearted people I know, Imouto-chan. And you love those kids to death!" akashi said as she tossed Taylor's sneaker into the foyer.

"Ohhh, Kashi, don't talk about the kids right now. I'm so done with crying for today."

Taylor put a hand on the bowl to keep it from capsizing and rolled onto her back. She laid spreadeagled in the middle of the floor, staring up at the ceiling. "They said it was because of my conduct, my personal and professional associations, and recent events. Like when Morrigan played video of a rape and tried to taser and stab someone, and when I, well... cut her."

She groaned, as if the weight of the situation was pressing down on chest and squishing her heart into her stomach, where it would be digested and she would die a slow, agonizing death. That's what today felt like: a slow, agonizing death.

"But that's not even the worst part. Kashi, I kinda, like... flipped out on Morgan. I called her... evil shit. I said evil shit to her. I called her worthless and said she was fired and told her nobody liked her. I hit her, Akashi, I slapped her in the face, like, really hard. I made her cry." she lamented. "Kashi, what do I do?"

"G-Gomen!" Akashi said as she stood over Taylor and looked down at her littl sister as she explained things. "What?" She said. "Bakas!" She snapped as she furrowed her brow. "I'll go give them a piece of my mind!" She said, crossing her arms under her chest as she tapped her foot. "They don't have any right to...."

Akashi heard the rest though and stopped. She looked down at Taylor and frowned. "Oh, Taylor-chan." She said in a soft voice. "To be honest, I would have thought that Morrigan would have been the first one to go ballistic. B-But... You had your reasons, right!?" She said. "Finally her chickens came home to roost! You were just protecting yourself and your family, right!?" She said, her eyes begging Taylor to say yes to her words.

She knew Taylor was kind hearted but she'd also seen Taylor do things that she couldn't be proud of either. They were mostly directed toward Akashi when they were fighting but Akashi never held that against her. They had made up and Akashi was at fault as well. But that didn't mean they didn't happen. What could have caused this?

"Fuuuuuuuuck..." Taylor moaned.

"No, Kashi," she said irritably. "I wasn't protecting anything. Morgan needed her family there to protect her from me. And my only reason was that I was upset and looking to take it out on her, so, like, fuck me. They really were right to kick me out, and they don't know the half of it."

She struggled up to a sitting position and looked at the bowl of food. She was starving, of course, she hadn't eaten since training, but she just couldn't bear to eat.Her head lolled to one side like it was too heavy for her neck to support, and as she closed her eyes more bitter tears began to form in her eyes. She could only sit and shake her head at her own failures.

"And like... I thought maybe if I could get her to not... quit, or whatever, that I could just give her some time off and send her and Brittany on vacation to like, Ireland, or wherever Brittany's from, or... the Bahamas. I dunno. I don't want to be like some scummy rich girl who fixes all of her problems with money, though. But... holy shit, Kashi," she looked up, wide eyed. "That's what I am. I'm a spoiled little rich girl who can't stand not getting what she wants. That's me."

She flopped onto her back again. "Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, Kashiiii!"

Akashi looked down at Taylor while she groaned and complained. This... she hadn't seen before from Taylor. Akashi didn't like it one bit, either. Akashi then dropped straight down, fast but not hard, and plopped onto Taylor's stomach. she wriggled her butt like she was getting comfortable and leaned forward to look down at Taylor.

"You said you made her cry?" Akashi asked. "I don't think I've ever seen that before." She said, raising her chin up a bit. "You're not spoiled, Imouto-chan." She said. "You've earned everything you have. If things continue to go this way and she won't accept your apology, then beat her up and drag her back to you." She said, flashing a smile. "In the ring, I mean." She added quickly. "If you made her cry, then she obviously gave a shit about working for you."

Akashi then added suddenly. "I'm not getting up until you stop whining, by the way." She said with a playful smirk.
