The Weekend Before...

Caroline was getting pretty pumped now. It was way too early for her to celebrate, and deep down she knew that, but the rookie was too excited to care at the moment. Until Alaina found a way to wear her down, nothing would curb her enthusiasm!

A shadow fell on the Amazon as Caroline strutted toward her front and kicked her in the sternum with the toe of her boot, aiming to make her roll onto her back. If she could get the Amazon to lie down for a moment, she could make her way down to grab the Amazon's legs and wind them into a figure four position. It was a good time to try softening Alaina's back up, and Caroline had a submission that would leave her legs tied up too: the Texas Cloverleaf. Smiling down at the woman she wanted to terrorize, Caroline fought to finish knotting Alaina's legs so she could roll the Amazon onto her stomach to lock in the hold!

Alaian was still reeling as Caroline kept up the pressure. Caroline's offensive onslaught continued as Alaina howled out in pain, stuck in a Texas cloverleaf! The amazon's head thrashed about and her arms reached forward as she desperately began to claw her way to the ropes. Another loud scream escaped her lips as she progressed forward, trying not to tap out to the rookie so quickly! Alaina groaned and reached, hoping to reach that bottom rope!

Caroline succeeded in securing her hold on Alaina, but the Amazon wouldn't be subdued without a fight, and with the strength that she was known for, started clawing her way toward the ropes. The rookie really wasn't strong enough to prevent her from dragging them both toward the ropes, inch by inch, so she focused on pouring as much pressure into the hold as possible to make Alaina hurt while she could.

“Haaah!” Caroline growled, leaning back farther and farther as she struggled to wrench Alaina's back into a C-shape. There was no referee to start counting Caroline out once her opponent made it to the edge of the ring, so it took a moment for the rookie to notice that Alaina had the rope. As soon as she did, she threw Alaina's legs down in a hurry and stepped away to let her get back up.

Alaina gasped for breath, happy to be free from the painful hold. She grit her teeth and used the ropes to help pull her up to her feet as quickly as she could. She was on the losing end of the second round for sure. She had to think of a way to get back at Caroline and get into the fight again. She saw Caroline standing and ready. Alaina stepped up to move in, rushing forward to try to extend her arm and level Caroline with a clothesline!

It might not be the prettiest, or the most elegant but Alaina was more about results than style points especially when she was already in a hole. Caroline had controlled the tempo and Alaina could only hope that this wasn't dodge or countered by the woman who was already on her feet, and waiting for Alaina.

So far, Caroline felt like she was learning a lot from Alaina by sparring with her. There really hadn't been any powerhouse wrestlers in the little leagues at Kelly's gym back in Canada. Kelly herself had probably been the closest, but her age made raw feats of strength a little impractical even for her.

Caroline was about to find out how hard it could be to stop or evade a woman with so much strength even when she was prepared and ready. She saw the clothesline coming as her opponent charged, but the Amazon's muscles made her pretty fast for her size – too fast, in this case. Caroline brought her forearms up to shield the rest of her body, but Alaina still bowled her over as her bicep crashed against Caroline's defense.

“Agh!” the rookie yelped as she got knocked down to the canvas, colliding with a bang that echoed through the gym. Looking up, she blushed at her opponent, a little embarrassed to have lost her momentum so quickly. Her stubborn resolve was unshaken though, and her impromptu defense had left her with enough energy to follow up. Rolling onto her stomach, she scrambled up just enough to throw herself into a small lunge aimed at Alaina's legs, trying to knock them out from under her to bring the Amazon down to the mat with her!

Alaina managed to take Caroline off her feet, but it didn't seem to have done her any good as the back of her knees got rammed by Caroline, sending Alaina stumbling forward! She groaned as she landed on her stomach, rolling onto her back. She coiled her legs just in case Caroline had any ideas about trying to get on top of her thinking she was going to be an easy target. If Caroline did try to mount Alaina the amazon was ready and waiting with a hard mule kick to the younger wrestler!

Alaina was still in shock that Caroline had taken over the second spar and she was struggling to get herself back into things. It was a bit humbling from Alaina's perspective as she was supposed to have been the more experienced wrestler but Caroline could have had bystanders fooled if they had just begun watching recently. She was proving to be quite the handful!

The gym was starting to feel hot as both women continued their fight, but Caroline knew it was just her. She was sweating hard enough that she knew her next shower was going to feel like a gift from heaven, once she and Alaina decided to call it a day. So far, the rookie was happy with her performance, but the day was taking a toll on her, and she would bet that the hard-boiled veteran could outlast her if she didn't find the strength to make her tap first!

When Alaina hit the canvas, Caroline scurried up and tried to mount her, lunging right into the Amazon's waiting legs. “Ugh!” Caroline coughed as Alaina's boots thudded against her chest, knocking her onto her back and leaving her short of breath. She struggled against the tight feeling in her chest to collect herself, hoping not to let Alaina get back on the offensive.

Alaina grit her teeth, wincing as she struggled to get up, hobbling forward. She was aching all over and had Caroline down, but she knew that Caroline would be scrambling up to her feet any second.

Alaina tried to pull Caroline up by the arm, trying to Irish whip her into the ropes! After watching Caroline start running Alaina would bolt as quickly as she could to the opposite ropes, trying to get her timing right for a little trick of her own. Alaina wanted to jump up, bouncing off the middle rope and spring boarding off feet first using the added momentum to try to plant Caroline in the chest with a springboard dropkick!

Too winded to properly resist, Caroline obeyed Alaina's will and allowed her to drag the rookie back to her feet. There was no time for her to regain her balance before the Amazon pulled her by the arm to force her into a sprint, threatening to pull it from the socket if Caroline didn't comply with her intent. She heard Alaina stomping into position behind her, expecting Alaina to meet her in the middle of the ring for a slam of some sort. After bouncing off the ropes and letting her momentum carry her back to the ring's center, however, she saw Alaina launching herself into the air instead!

Unable to stop herself, Caroline took the full force of Alaina's body as the two crashed into each other. Every bone and muscle felt the impact, but the Amazon's left boot managed to connect with her right breast, just about pushing it straight through her ribcage as Caroline's eyes went wide.

“Augh!” Caroline yelled in agony as she crashed back down into the canvas, pounding the mat furiously with one of her feet as she rolled onto her side, turning her back to the Amazon looming over her. She probably should have kept her eyes on the opponent, but she didn't want to embarrass either of them with her shameful display as she massaged her aching breast, dreading the bruise that would no doubt be waiting for her when she peeled her outfit off at the end of the day. “Oh, ouch, ow...”

Alaina got Caroline off her feet and waste no time in laying down across her chest ad hooking a leg, going for a pin to see where Caroline was at.

"ONE!"

The count began and Alaina put all her weight across Caroline's chest as well as her shoulders. She kept the leg hooked tightly, trying to sue all her strength to keep Caroline pinned down. Caroline had been on a roll until recently so Alaina had no idea how long she would stay down. This wasn't meant to be a winning pin by any means. It was made to make Caroline expend energy, and give Alaina an idea what she had left in the tank.
