Mako thought she'd caught a break as she whipped Suzumi towards the steel wall. But the shark's luck turned bad as the Tsunami reversed the move and whipped the tough woman, instead. Now that she was quickly whipped forward, Mako soon collided against the steel cage hard, causing her to shout out as her shoulder took the most of the collision. Then bouncing off of the cage, the shark would land on her side as she rolled onto her back.

However, Mako couldn't help but smirk through the pain. This was her first steel cage match after all, and so far it didn't disappoint. So while the shark was in a bad position, Mako still had little doubt that she'd get through this as she rolled once more onto her hands and knees. Bracing herself for whatever Suzumi had in store for her.

Mkako was down. The best way to keep her there was to go for her legs. Suzumi made her way over quickly, getting behind Mako and grabbing into one of her legs!

Suzumi flopped down onto the mat, trying to wrap up one of Mako's legs and catch her in a leg lock! There was no tappibg out, but damaging a leg, decreasing mobility was the smartest strategy in match such as this!

Mako was still trying to compose herself when Suzumi went behind her, and as soon as the Tsunami grabbed her by the leg she new a submission hold was coming. Now if there was anything the shark hated it was submission moves since they were practically her kryptonite. So as Suzumi trapped her in a leg lock Mako knew she was in for some pain.

"Grrrr...god damn it!" Mako would curse as she felt her leg being bent. It seemed like Suzumi was very skilled at such moves, which was bad news for the shark. The only good part of this was that Mako couldn't tap, the bad side was that her leg could be hurt after enough strain. So in an attempt to break free, the shark would try rolling herself onto her back as the Tsunami kept the hold locked. This would be painful for her, but if she succeeded, Mako could try landing some strikes on Suzumi with her free leg until she released this painful hold on her.

Suzumi underestimated Mako and her ability to strike her way out of things. It cost her for sure. As they rolled and the kicks began, Suzumi's grip weakened with each blow until she finally let go. Suzumi stood up rubbing the points of impact as if it could soothe some of the pain. More mental placebo than anything.

Suzumi knew Mako would be up and moved in again, this time aiming a fast elbow up towards Mako's jaw!

Mako's well aimed strikes with her leg seemed to be working as the hold weakened with each strike. It took her a few more kicks before the Tsunami finally released her and stood up. This seemed like a good chance for Mako, but she was taking a little bit longer to get up since her leg was in a bit of pain, giving Suzumi an opening to attack.

So without warning the Tsunami drilled a hard elbow into the shark's jaw, causing her to drop instantly on her side. There she would hold her aching mouth and groan a bit, feeling somewhat embarrassed for taking a strike like that. After all, strikes were Mako's thing, and she had learned a great deal from her training. Enough at least to stay standing after one, but she was dropped by that elbow, one that the shark could've probably countered. But here Mako was in another bad position, holding her jaw as she tried getting back a bit hazily.

Mako was down and Suzumi had another opening, a small one, to try to do something else. The more she could keep this grounded the better off she would be. Suzumi grabbed one of Mako's arms and pulled up on it, trying to wrap her legs around Mako's out-stretched arm and neck.

The triangle hold had won Suzumi matches before, and while it wasn't going to win anything today on its own it could be nasty for Mako if Suzumi managed to fully lock it in!

Mako was in a tough spot and it was about to get tougher. Suzumi quickly took advantage of the situation as she began to grab the shark’s arm and wrap her legs around her neck. Mako could tell what this was, the Tsunami was attempting to lock a triangle hold in, and she was very close to doing so.

“Graaahh! N-no!” Mako would howl as she desperately tried to free herself from Suzumi’s grip by moving round and pulling her arm back. But despite her struggling, the shark soon found herself locked in the hold.

Continuing to struggle, though, Mako would try to get on her knees and that gave her an idea. “Grrr! Let…GO!” the shark growled as she tried to get on her feet. Once there she’d try to grab onto Suzumi’s hair with her captured arm to bring them closer so that she could try landing a few punches on the Tsunami’s skull. But even if she managed to do so, Mako was already pretty tired and in dire need of air. So if she didn’t get some soon, the shark would lose consciousness. And she really didn't want that to happen.

Suzumi thought she was on the verge of a breakthrough in this match. Perhaps not, or maybe she was on the verge of just the chance she needed....

Regardless, Mako and her hard punches were putting an end to it no matter what! The first couple strikes stunned Suzumi but the third one really hit home, forcing her to let go of the hold much to her chagrin.

Suzumi rolled away and got up to her feet, her cheek red and sore from the strikes. She failed to rub away the throbbing pain, shaking her head. She wanted to try one last move to Mako to get her to stay the hell down allowing Suzumi a shot at escaping. She crouched and waited for Mako to get up, trying to position herself behind the taller woman. As Mako rose, Suzumi would grab her from behind and quickly lift up, bringing Mako crashing down with an exploder suplex!

After driving her to the mat Suzumi would get up as quickly as she could, rushing to the side of the cage and beginning to climb!

Mako knew that she couldn't punch her way out of every situation, but that didn't stop her from trying. And believe it or not simple punches had worked more times than she could count. So as she landed the first two the shark could tell she was making some progress as the Tsunami's cheek became red. And with the third strike to the face Suzumi couldn't hold on any longer, allowing Mako out before both rolled in opposite directions.

The shark was out of breath though, and she would take deep breathes so that she could get back in this fight. But as she began to stand up, Mako found her opponent grab onto her neck before quickly lifting her up. Caught by surprise the shark had no way of preventing this exploder suplex, and was slammed down hard by the Tsunami.

Mako may have been tough, but after the triangle hold and suplex she just took from Suzumi, she normally wouldn't get up for the time being. Time wasn't something she had though since the Tsunami got up and ran to the cage wall to begin climbing. So with a loud groan Mako would half crawl as she got to her feet trying to make it in time to stop the woman before she got too far. Aiming to grab Suzumi by the foot once she got there.

Suzumi was climbing as quickly as she could. Her body ached and her head hurt, but she made good progress up the wall. At least she did until someone grabbed and yanked on her foot! Suzumi didn't just stop, but she held awkward grip as she was dangling from the side! She tried to shake and kick her foot free but to no avail!

She was holding on for dear life, at the mercy of Mako as her ascent had been stopped!
