Val Kilmer was outplayed by Nicole Kidman of all people, he is the weakest modern Batman in my opinion. You could argue that Clooney had no chance from the begininng because he had to carry Robin and Batgirl who were both absolutely terrible, but I did not find him to be good either.

Val Kilmer was the first, and quite possibly the ONLY live action Batman who understood that "Bruce Wayne" is nothing more than Batman's costume he wears in public. I appreciated that. He just got overshadowed by a terrible Robin, and the SEVERE overacting of Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey. When people bitch about Jim and Tom though, I just bring up that they just did the same thing Nicholson did, just be himself while doing Riddler/Two Face/Joker things.

Sometimes I go back and rewatch Heat and Val Kilmer was pretty good in that, along with basically everybody else

it's just if I have to sit down and watch a movie for three god damn hours it's not going to be something I come back to often, which is also why I usually just watch Infernal Affairs instead of The Departed

I just realized a minute ago that I also liked him in Felon, with Stephen Dorff and some other people

it's not, like, glamorous nineties val kilmer, it's gross puffy 2000's val kilmer and he's got a retarded asymmetrical beard and looks like somebody stuffed a human suit full of melons and he stumbles around the film covered in aryan brotherhood tattoos mumbling about how he killed a bunch of children

man val kilmer actually kinda owns, i've never thought about this before

And the mockery of the Batman franchise continues with Affleck now not only being Batman, no, he is also the director now! Is there no better Batman actor left in Hollywood?

And speaking of depressing announcements, the Wonder Woman trailer did not incite me to go watch it in the slightest.

I read about a really cool movie coming out. It has Sandra Bullock, and the plot is a little bit out there. A guy plants a bomb on a bus, but the catch is weird. It doesn't blow up right away, and instead will detonate should the bus go less than 55 miles per hour.

Wait, is that coming out this year? Or am I thinking of Speed, with Keanu Reeves?

Affleck was an awesome Batman though, and he's a fantastic director.
