[Friction World Cup] Morrigan Vs. Adele

Morrigan laced up her boots as she waited for her entrance music to start up. it had beena while since she had done any solo in ring action, especially since she was now working for Taylor. She knew she had to keep up some in ring appearances. She didn't want anyone to think she had gotten soft and she had certainly not wanted anyone thinking that Annelle was now the most dangerous woman in the AFW. It was still Morrigan. But still, she didn't enjoy the trapping of the Von Creuzfeldt Estate (Japan Branch) anymore and one of those trappings was getting to spar with one of the toughest and brutal women she had met in Lukretia.

She didn't want to get too rusty. She had always thought she was a good wrestler. Maybe not as technical as her former underling Macha but still. What she lacked in technique, she made up for in tenacity and guile. She knew she was good and her little friends helped to assure her brutality.

That's why when she saw the opportunity to take a match in Friction's ongoing event, the Friction World Cup, she jumped at the chance. Maybe she wouldn't be representing Ireland as best as she could, but she never cared too much for the folks back home. To her, they just didn't cut it. Maybe, if any of them were watching, they'd see just that.

She was nasty and did things to girls that people both liked and loathed. Morrigan didn't really care what the audience said. The list of people whose opinions mattered to her she could count on one hand. She reached the ring and slid in as she waited for her opponent. She was dressed in her normal shorts, but instead of her usual jacket, she was wearing a t-shirt. It was one of Taylor's special shirts that had a crude crayon drawing of a shirtless guy in wrestling shorts sitting down with his chin on his palms pouting, and a smiley crayon girl next to him with her hands on her hips. Underneath it, it said "Friction > Tension." She had just grabbed it. She wondered, briefly, how it might go over. Though, Morrigan DID try to actually wrestle against this girl. Even though she had a point to prove, she could always prove it after she beat her opponent. Really, she just needed to know where she stood.

It had been awhile since Adele had had a match and to say the least she was feeling a little bit nervous. Adele had heard about her opponent tonight and she did not like what she was hearing. Adele however, was not going to be outdone by some underhanded cheat who liked to intimidate her opens by trying to be brutal. No, Adele was going to go out there tonight and show the world that there was no need to fear this Morrigan.

Adele stretched a bit and shadow boxed for a few seconds before she heard her music begin to play over the loud speakers. Adele quickly pulled her gloves on her hands and began to make her way down to the ring where Morrigan was waiting for her. Adele smiled to the crowd and waved to the cheering audience before sliding into the ring and and thrusting her hand in the air. Adele than turned towards Morrigan and usually she would extend a hand in an offer of good sportsmanship but Adele did not want to take the chance. Instead Adele just turned around and moved towards her corner as she waited for the bell to ring.

Morrigan watched as Adel came down the ramp. The girl looked spunky enough. Some generic little girl who still had hopes and dreams of making it in this league. Morrigan's first thought was to do her a favor and show her just what kind of league she was in and how in over her head she really was. But as their eyes met, Morrigan grinned. She stepped forward when she saw Adel pause but when the girl returned to her corner, Morrigan removed her glasses and passed them off tot he referee.

"Are you worried that you might not make it out of this ring with your career in tact?" She said. "Well, tonight is your lucky night. I'm feeling generous so you get to have a sporting chance. What do you think about that?" Morrigan crossed her arms under her chest as she waited for the bell to ring, smugly looking at Adele.

As Adele turned around to hear Morrigan's words she just smiled. "Well thank you for being so generous but i don't need a free handout. I think i will just beat you the old fashioned way." Adele said as she would move towards the center of the ring. Adele would raise her hands up in front of her face as the bell rang. "Sorry if i get a little rough." Adele would say before taking a step towards Morrigan and firing a straight punch right at Morrigan's face and Adele would follow up by taking another step towards Morrigan to swing her foot around into Morrigan's side for a one two combo.

Morrigan raised her eyebrow at Adele's words. A little rugh? Morrigan wondered about that but as the bell rang, she remaiend casual. Her hands fell down to her sides as she circled the German girl. She was about to retort to the girl when the fist came hard. Morrigan ducked her head to the side. A straight jab like that was nothing but as she tilted her body, she saw the foot rise. It slammed into her side and she stumbled backwards, clutching her side as she tried to stabilize herself.

As Morrigan stumbled back Adele pressed her advantage by taking a step forward and aiming an uppercut straight at Morrigan's jaw. Adele was intent on keeping Morrigan on the defensive so that she would have no way to try something underhanded or dirty. "You shouldn't take me lightly." Adele would say before lunging forward after her uppercut to try and tackle Morrigan down to the ground where Adele could try to pin Morrigan beneath her.

Morrigan was regrouping from the kick as Adele pressed her advantage. Once again, she was able to avoid the uppercut and was going to retaliate with an attack of her own when Adele flung herself forward. Morrigan hastily threw her knee up, trying to smash it into Adel's face but if she missed, she'd be flat on her back and reeling in the opening seconds of the bout.

Adele was charging at Morrigan when she saw her opponent raise her knee up. Adele's eyes widened as she tried to bring her hands up to block her face but it was too late and Adele slammed right into Morrigan's knee which caused Adele to stumble backwards before falling onto her ass with her hands covering her face.

Morrigan panted as she managed to fend off Adele with the well placed knee. Her fist instinct as Adele was on her ass, was to start crotch stomping the girl. But she was actually trying to wrestle. So, she stepped forward and tried to grab Adel's legs. She didn't think she could win with it, but maybe if she got a good figure four leg lock, she might be able to wear Adel down. That's exactly what she went for as she tried to maneuver herself in a position to pull it off and tangle up their legs.

Adele was still holding her face when Morrigan grabbed her legs and placed her in a rather painful figure four leg-lock. Adele gritted her teeth as she tried to sit up and grab at Morrigan's legs to try and pry her legs free. Adele looked at Morrigan's face before clenching her fist and punching Morrigan in the leg repeatedly to try and free herself before Morrigan did to much damage to her legs.
