Julie O'Reilly - The Spunky Irish (debut!) vs Julia Night

Standard match, two falls out of three needed for victory
Special stipulation: The winner of the first round is offered a pair of boxing gloves, which she is free to use from that point on

Julie O'Reilly - The Spunky Irish:

"Hehe, this is so exciting, I can't wait!"
Julie was eagerly waiting for her debut match in AFW. She had been a fan of the league for so long already, and for the large part of that time, actually wrestling there had just been a distant fantasy. But now, against all likelihood, it was becoming a reality.

As she rehearsed her ring entrance on her mind, she was also thinking about the opponent. "Julia Night", funny that they would put her face a wrestler with such a similar name! She had a moment of regret realising she could've tried to find out what she was going to be like, but then again everything had happened so fast since arriving in Japan that she hadn't really even had the time.

It was also funny that her first match was going to have the boxing glove stipulation. She hadn't been in such a match before. "But boxers are usually pretty fast and agile, right? So I guess it should be just good for me!" she was thinking, although remembering then that in order to get the gloves, one had to win the first round. Well, she'll just do her best and see what happens!

She was going to be the first wrestler in the ring that night. It was fun, as she would immediately get everybody's attention. Soon enough she heard the cheerful Irish sound of her Macklemore entrance song air in the arena, and it was time to go. Cheerfully sprinting down the ramp, she jumped into the ring. She would rise on the ring posts in all corners, waving for the audience and stretching her body so that the crowd could see her from...well, all kinds of angles. Then it was time to settle down in her corner, and let this girl Julia show herself.

Julia was standing about waiting for this match to happen. Annoyed that she was just now getting another match made her feel like she was being forgotten about in the shuffle. Made worse by the fact that it seemed it was for another joke at her expense, er boxing match with Tabitha and the fact that the girls he was facing had a similar name to make some good quip about. Oh your a genius whatever dumbass came up with that one.

Shaking her head she made her entrance, a lot less flashy then usual given how sour her mood had taken in the recent months as she walked down the ramp looking at her foe for the next few minutes before entering the ring. She didn't talk to her nor did she look all that friendly for once as she kept staring daggers at the fellow redhead.

Julie watched as the Texan made her unimpressive entry to the ring. Measuring her from head to toes it was pretty apparent that Julia was bigger than the Irish. That wasn't really unexpected, but she did look pretty strong though, and like she was meaning business. Her coldness and seeming lack of enthusiasm actually made Julie feel slightly intimidated. Either it meant that the Texan wasn't happy to face her, or then she was just a cold, cruel heel. The Irish had to admit though, that Julia did look very hot in her bikini...

As the ref girl prepared to begin the match, Julia's staring didn't make Julie feel any better. She started jumping a bit around the ring in her own side, as the bell rang. She would have wanted to offer the Texan a hand shake, but her instincts told that a girl with such a sour face wasn't going to successful target for that. Instead, she settled in the center of the ring, constantly moving about a bit. She knew she couldn't just try attacking Julia, and instead wanted to get her moving. "Soo, hi there Julia! Am I really frightening to you, or why do you seem like not wanting to be here?" she shouted from the center of the ring, hoping to get at least some kind of response out of the bigger Texan.

Julia could tell that was meant to be friendly banter but if there anything she was in the mood for it was to be friendly. Stepping forward to join her in the center of the ring she looked her straight in the eye. "You are probably the least intimidating person ive been across the ring with. I don't know why they made this two out of 3 falls. I'm fairly confident you'll be unable to go past one fall." She said before backing up.

"That the response your looking for 'Julie'?" She said her voice carrying some hints of mockery about there similar sounding names. At this point she just wanted the bell to ring so she could take this girls head off and finally me action after weeks of no response.

Well, it most definitely wasn't. Julie was really starting to wish she had been paired with at least slightly friendlier opponent, but then again, this was wrestling, and people here didn't need to be friendly at all. And it was kinda good that she found out her opponent's state of mind already now, so that she knew caution would be very much advised from the beginning. Apparently their similar names were also not a funny thing from Julia's point of view.

At least the crowd seemed to be getting on Julie's side, as the Texans unimpressive and blatantly rude entrance was not really loved at all.

"Hmph, let's see what you can do then..." the Irish replied with a slightly rebellious tone. Then the bell rang, and the match was on. Julie knew that in order to survive, she needed to count on her speed. It would've been better for her if the Texan had attacked her first, but she seemed very passive for now. So the Irish had to slowly start approaching the Texan... She would try to get into a circling movement, kind of like trying to get behind Julia's back. Hoping to outpace her, Julie would then try to quickly grab Julia's arm from her side, then twisting it behind her back.

Well her words seemed to shut her up pretty quickly as Julie opted to not speak again until the bell rang, while the fans were mostly different to the now significantly less energetic Julia she was just as indifferent to them. Instead she waited to see what the little Irish punk was going to try first.

And it seemed she was going to try and take things slow to start it off, which was going to make what she did first a little more surprising. Rushing in towards Julie with her arms out she wanted to take her down to the floor with a hard clothesline to start the math off.

Julie was trying to be calculating in her moves, not wanting to make stupid mistakes. Starting off slow was as such a tactical move. It seemed quite difficult to outpace the Texan, but she had to try. But at the same moment Julie tried to sprint for Julia's arm, the Texan rushed towards her. And before she knew it, the Irish was downed by the clothesline.

Julie let out a scream of pain as her back hit the mat. This was definitely not the best way to start off the match. Luckily it was only her first slam to the ground, so she could still remain in good spirits. Now she just had to get quickly back up again, set her sight on Julia and prepare herself to dodge the next attack.

The move took her down and Julia smiled as she looked down at the Irishwomen as she tried to get up once more. However Julia was not about to let her get away at all as she moved in to grab around her waist and lift her up for a German suplex before she could do anything.

"You must be crazy if you think I'm gonna let you come in here and take my spot on the roster. Everyone here is going to see just how weak and pathetic you are!" She said as she slammed her down to the ground and tried to get on top of her before she could get anywhere.

As Julie was quickly trying to recover from the clothesline, she realised having lost her sight on Julia. That couldn't be good. Which she was soon to find out as Julia grabbed her waist from behind. At least she found out why the Texan was so angry, even though the reason did totally not make any sense to her... But that gave no comfort as Julia lifted the Irish girl up, and slammed her to the ground with the German suplex.

So, that was the second slam for her back. Now it started to hurt. She would have wanted to try explaining Julia that her fears of Julie being some kind of a replacement were total nonsense, but it looked like there was no time for that. Julie just wanted to quickly roll away toward the ropes so that she could get better positioned to defend herself, hoping that Julia wouldn't be able to catch her before that. If she managed all the way there, she wanted to get there quickly back standing up by taking support from the ropes.

Julia slammed her into the floor with the suplex. Her mind on showing the redhead who was boss all throughout the match, she refused to relent until she had taken the first fall and had a bit of a lead. Though from there she Julie retreating to the ropes once more and slowly got back up to her feet.

When she got up to her feet Julia would move in closer to her opponent as she pulled herself up for another go Julia would make sure she didn't have anyroom to back off to. Driving a punch into her gut as she stood up the redhead sought to keep Julie from ever having a chance in this match.
