A Quiet Dinner Get Together

Talia had just been sitting at home doing some work when her phone vibrated. She casually picked it up and saw that it was from Charlie. She smiled and unlocked her phone to see the text. Her mind rushed first with negative thoughts and then overwhelmingly positive ones as she read the words on her phone. She choked up a bit, staggered by the message from Charlie. She was about to type out a response when she decided it wouldn't be enough.

She clicked the number and called Charlie back instead. Immediately as he answered, she whispered with a choked up voice, "I love you too Charlie...I...I really do..." She felt like she was crying, but she wasn't sure why. "Do you...do you want to move in with me? Or maybe we could get our own place?"

Charlie picked up his phone immediately as soon as he saw that it was Talia calling. As she spoke he was surprised at what he heard, but was happy to hear it. She felt the same way he did, and seemed to feel it as strongly as he did. "Babe, I don't know right now. Alaina said she was going to move out of here and its plenty roomy. I imagine she'll find a place pretty quickly so would... would you like to move into my place? Its got a ton of room for two people and one small dog. Especially if we share a room." Charlie was surprised at himself for blurting out that last part. Last time he talked to Talia she said she wanted to take things more slowly... but the "L" word seemed to have changed things around. Indeed, Charlie felt a strong connection to Talia from the day they met. Maybe she was just getting out of her shell a bit?

As long as he wasn't too forward, and he didn't make her feel uncomfortable he didn't care.
