The Champ & The Ace

Things have been much quieter in AFW than they ever have been for the Ace of Berserk. While still considered to be one of the best wrestlers in Japan let alone AFW, her part-time schedule of wandering between AFW and Berserk made her a Jill of all trades rather than a mistress of one. Her opportunities to wrestle for the gold were limited at AFW while she was still champion at Berserk and constantly having to defend her brands gold back at Berserk.

That did not mean that the Ace did not have her fair share in AFW, wrestling the most top starts in Friction and even Tension to keep herself at the top of her game while being relevant at AFW. Today it was all about working out in the gym, getting pumped up and work up a sweat to keep the blood flowing and body active.

After changing into her ruby red sports bra and briefs, the Ace would start to do some cardio exercises before going towards the punching bag to practice her kicks and punches. "Hyaaahh! *Huff*Huff*" she panted in between strikes, wiping the sweat off her brow.

Alaina stepped out of the locker room ready to do a nice workout. She was wearing a pair of white briefs, a white sports bra, white kneepads, and white boots all with a small gold outline on them. The new training attire of the Friction champion that Alaina just bought and it was time to take them out for a spin.

The confident champion walked out into the gym and stepped towards the practice ring when she noticed a familiar face nearby at the punching bag. Alaina grinned and walked up behind Misaki.

"Hey there little lady. You almost hit hard you know that?" Alaina said jokingly with a chuckle as she stood behind Misaki.

While busy working out, striking and kicking at the punching bag, Misaki was well within her focus zone and was concentrating hard on what she needed to do next in her career. She had a decent run in at AFW but she was always looking to improve herself. Working hard in the gym she would soon meet up with a familiar face.

"Huh?" Misaki said as she thought she heard a familiar voice. She would stop her training and hold the punching bag in place before turning around to see the Amazon fresh after her title defense. "Ohai champ! I see you're keeping yourself busy in the main event yet have time to visit the gym as well" she said with a smile.

Alaina smiled and pat Misaki on the shoulder as she turned around to see Alaina. "Yeah, I don't want to be one of those paper champions who barely ever wrestles, only showing up to defend the title at a big show like some part timer. I am here full time as always and ready to take on whoever wants a shot whenever they want a match." Alaina said with a smile.

"You are looking really good though, I mean it. You have been hitting the gym and really getting ready to step in the ring against some unlucky lady it seems!" Alaina said, giving Misaki a nod.

The Ace was quite glad to hear Alaina's intention. She always knew that the Amazon would be a fighting champion and she was glad that her expectations about her were not wrong. Being a champion herself, the Ace knew how hard yet equally important it was for the Champ to keep defending his/her title and Alaina planned just that. It was for that very reason that she found the brunette in the gym too.

"That is great to hear" she said with a smile. Blushing a bit, Misaki would shy away from the compliment as she brushed her hair back and giggled. "Haha aw shucks, thank you! So what are you looking to do today?" she asked while putting her hands on her hips.

Alaina had her hands on her hips and tilted her head with a smile. "Well, if you want a friendly challenge with a champion maybe we can see who can outfit who using whomever lifts a bigger percentage of their bodyweight to determine a winner? We all know you can't match me in raw power." Alaina said with a wink. "Then... since we are both dressed for it we can have some interesting challenges inside the ring?"

It was quite clear that Alaina was feeling quite excited. She struck a pose and titled her head with a smile, clearly she had something in mind. Misaki would stare at her friend with a blank expression and blink fast a couple of times, wondering what it was that she said that really peaked the Amazon's interest.

"Ohoho well that certainly does sound like an interesting challenge. You know what? I think I am up for it! Why don't you start of by showing me how its done then?" Misaki suggested.

Alaina smiled and made her way towards the bench press, starting to rack the weights on plate after plate. "Just remember this is based on how much you lift compared to your weight so that'll give you something of a chance." Alaina said with a wink and grin. The amazon was confident here and she was going for a 1 rep max so the amount of weight was considerable.

Alaina settled underneath the bar grabbing it and controlling her breathing. She weighed about 175lbs these days. Misaki... hmmm... she looked like she was 135-140 or so but more firm and defined that Alaina recalled the last time she saw her. This may not be so easy to win after all....

Alaina let out a few grunts and a shout as she exerted herself bringing the bar down and slowly but steadily raising it back up as she really exerted herself pulling off an impressive 330lb press, about 189% of her body weight of 175lbs! Alaina took a few deep breaths before sliding off the bench and standing next to the bar looking over at Misaki.

"Okay Misaki, you are up, what weight do you want this at?"

Watching the Amazon make her way towards the bench, Misaki would place her hand on her hips and watch Alaina work her magic. She was quite impressive and had really worked up on her build from when she first came to AFW. Nobody could deny that her hard work and dedication had lead her to where she is right now, the Friction World Champion.

"Oh wow that is impressive. Guess those muscles aren't just for show huh?" Misaki teased while giggling. The Ace would place her finger on her chin and think before moving towards the bench press and inserting the weights up to 230 pounds! Misaki would then lay on the bench and begin to lift the bar, she had her teeth gritted and a bead of sweat tricked down her side as she lifted it up to complete a rep before placing it on the bar.

"*Phew* How's that?" she asked.

"Ha, thanks! I have really tried to live up to my nickname you know?" Alaina said as she watched Misaki ready herself at the bench. 230lbs was less than Alaina's max by quite a bit, but Misaki also only weighed in at 135lbs.


Alaina stood ready to spot if needed, but Misaki didn't need her at all! The amazon clapped and did the math. Misaki was able to bench 170% of her own bodyweight! While the weight she lift was a good deal less than Alaina percentage-wise she was very close to the amazon! "Your muscles aren't just for show either! You have good mass and definition for your size but when your body tensed up I could really see the arms, abs and shoulders bulge!"
