Thanks Gwen's efforts, Julia was still having a tough time breathing by the time she'd pulled herself up high enough to peek under the bottom rope and glance into the ring. And unfortunately, things didn't seem to be going any better for Alaina. The blonde heiress had her pinned against the rope, while Akiha had set up a ladder and started climbing.

After everything that had happened leading up to tonight, it'd be a pretty massive understatement to say the champs retaining this quickly and so dominantly would be an embarrassment to Sonic Boom. But they'd made the mistake of counting Julia out and leaving her unattended, and the cowgirl was going to make DAMN sure their arrogant foes paid dearly for that miscalculation.

Grunting through the effort as she moved, Julia used the ropes to pull herself up onto the apron. She grabbed the top rope and took aim at Akiha, then pulled herself up onto the top rope and sprang off of it, launching herself through the air like a missile. She threw both feet out and slammed a mighty dropkick into the side of the ladder, wanting to bring it and Akiha down, along with any immediate chance of her being able to grab the titles hanging above the ring.

Akiha made her way to the top of the ladder, now attempting to grab the belts and end the match in a quick and decisive victory. Yet just as she was about to grab the belt, she would hear a large impact hitting the ladder. Her eyes would widen as she turned her head around as the ladder started to fall. She could see that Julia had managed to hit it with a drop kick causing a look of fear in her eyes. Not wanting to fall, the Japanese wrestler would desperately hold onto the ladder.

The ladder itself would hit the ropes, causing Akiha to lose her grip and fall to the ground, landing on her back and causing her to gasp for air. Though because she had managed to hold on, the fall was not terrible as if she had fallen off from the top. Still dropping from the height she did and into the barely padded ground outside, took its toll on Akiha. She would now moan out in pain before rolling onto her stomach and crawling towards the barrier.

"Agh!" Julia grunted as she hit the mat with a thud. The impact sent a fresh surge of pain through her already-aching ribs, but the pain was well worth it. The ladder had been toppled, along with Akiha's hopes of bringing this bout to a swift end.

But now Julia was left with a choice, and a minuscule amount of time to make it. She could either follow after Akiha at ringside, or change her focus back to Gwen and lend Alaina a helping hand. But as much as she would've loved to get some payback on her hated rival for the punishment administered to her at the start of this match, leaving Akiha unattended now would just be asking for more trouble later. Plus, as strong and resilient as Alaina was, Julia trusted her partner wouldn't need her help to get out of the jam she was in.

With that in mind, she kicked the nearest end of the ladder and quickly scrambled to her feet. Then without any further hesitation, the daredevil luchadora burst into a sprint right toward the ropes Akiha had rolled under and threw herself straight through the top and middle rope, hurling her body at her crimson-haired adversary with a suicide dive!

Grabbing onto the barricades, Akiha would start to get back onto her feet. She would hold onto the barricade, taking a moment to get some oxygen into her lungs and recover from the brutal fall she had just taken. The crimson hair wrestler would then focus her attention on the ring, wanting to get both, revenge and to make sure that her tag team partner was doing fine.

Just as she turned around she would see Julia coming at her with a suicide dive. The Japanese wrestler eyes would widen with shock and fear. Before she could react, she would be hit right in her small chest and sent right back down to the ground, being sandwich by the barely padded floor and the larger cowgirl. "Gah" stated Akiha as she would moan in pain after taking such a brutal assault.

For all of Alaina's incessant squirming and fumbling attempts to alleviate the constriction on her pinched in windpipe, she still seemed unable to dethrone the highborn aristocrat seated high above her. A pretentious smirk on Gwendolyn's face as she delighted in every single solitary second spent in making Alaina's life a miserable and sputtering mess, the malicious heiress reaffirming her seated pressure with a few gyrating bounces against the middle rope.

Someone as prideful in her brutish strength as the uncouth Amazon was no doubt taking great exception towards being subdued in such a humiliating fashion by the dainty noblewoman. But Gwendolyn's sadistic enjoyment at Alaina's expense soon came to an unexpected halt by means of what sounded like a car crash impacting right behind her, Gwendolyn than raising her golden-curled head up with widened eyes before turning in place to spot the wreckage in the middle of the ring. The propped up ladder now in shambles and collapsed to it's side with her partner now languishing on the outskirts of the ring.

"Tch..." Gwendolyn scoffed bitterly before unseating herself and turning back towards the middle of the ring, just before Julia would go flying off the handle and directly onto her hapless partner. The heiress scampering off towards the mangled bodies at ringside while clenching onto the top rope. Her options now clearly being either to assist her fallen comrade...or take all of the prestigious glory for herself by procuring the tag title belts high above...

...Gwen not reflecting on her decision for too long as she immediately dashed off to reset the tipped over ladder, and already make several strides up the metallic steps...

Alaina felt Gwendolyn cwase the pressure on her throat and the lihhtheaded woman slumped to the mat, laying on her back wheezing as she struggled to catch her breath. The amazon looked like a lifeless lump as she looked up at Gwendolyn setting up the ladder.

Humiliated and embarrassed, Alaina slowly began to sit up, still struggling to recover. She grabbed the ropes and pulled herself up. She had to restore her own reputation after the start to this match. Alaina stumbled to the ladder right underneath Gwendolyn, looking up and trying to move as quickly as her achy body as well as her hazy head would allow.

Alaina reached up, facing away from the ladder to grab onto Gwendolyns legs. The amazon had to be fast, but she essentially had the aristocrat in position on her shoulders for a powerbomb! Not wasting time Alaina unleashed her surprise move on Gwendolyn, trying to send her crashing to the mat as hard as she could!

Ascending the metallic rungs one wavering step at a time was actually quite the nostalgic journey for the pompous noblewoman. Gwendolyn having procured her illustrious Entropy title from a similar vantage point, amidst the lofty heights of her first ever ladder match against Haley "Ace" Cote. It was an Avalanche highlight that year, and a bout that was a veritable lifetime ago with situations being decidedly different between then and now on multiple levels. Though one potential similarity Gwendolyn intended to make factual was the outcome, with her reigning victorious at the end~...

Though Gwen's glorious envisioning would be halted by her suddenly finding herself being seated atop the lumbering Amazon's broad shoulders, her hazel eyes dilating in dread with her fingers remaining hooked onto the metal steps as fiercely as she could. A desperate and ultimately futile attempt to resist being hauled away from the ladder in a powerbomb position, one that went off without a hitch and slammed the dainty aristocrat into the mat with a meteoric impact.

"RAAGH!!" Screaming out in an undignified manner and in tandem with the booming cheers from the audience, Gwendolyn sharply arched her spine with her elegant visage grimacing in pain. The shock wave still reverberating throughout the ring as the heiress rolled and scuttled to hook her arm onto the nearby bottom rope, her free hand massaging her lower back right above her backside as her right leg began feverishly tapping the ring canvas.

Julia shoved off of Akiha with a grunt. That reckless dive certainly hadn't done her wounded ribs any favors. But she'd at least managed to finally halt the defending champs' progress toward seemingly inevitable victory.

And judging from the thunderous crash that rang out in the ring seconds later, Julia suspected her partner had just managed to turn the tables on Gwen as well.

With newfound confidence, and an eagerness to return the favor for all the punishment that had been sent Sonic Boom's way from the outset, Julia smiled and grabbed onto Akiha's crimson hair while picking herself back up. Guiding her foe toward her feet as well, she'd move her grip to the girl's wrist, before attempting to whip her right at the steel steps by the corner of the ring.

Alaina dropped to a knee after sending Gwendolyn crashing to the mat, gasping for breath. She had been a rag Doll early on and that had taken a toll on her. Still, she hated the fact that Imperial Order held tag gold and Sonic Boom was a team that she felt was the best team around.

Now she had to show the world why she felt that way. Alaina hobbled over to Gwendolyn and pulled her up by the hair. She glared at the woman and bent down to grab her between the legs and around the shoulder. Alaina wanted to lift Gwen up, hold her and walk over to the ropes. From there she wanted to slam Gwen clear over the ropes to the outside of the ring!

Akiha was now groaning in pain, her chest felt like it was burning from the brutal attack she had just taken from Julia. She would now hold her chest as she rolled back and forth on the ground. The Japanese wrestler would not have much time to lick her wounds as she felt her hair being pulled by her masked opponent.

Once on her feet, she would feel her hand being grabbed. The Japanese wrestler would then be pulled forward by an Irish whip and sent right into the steel steps, chest first again. “Ahh!” screamed the Japanese wrestler as she crashed into the steps. She would now exhale as her body would lay on top of the steps.
