The Night Before

Jay's eyes narrow. "A what?"

"I think there is a hardware store somewhere around here. Im sure there is." Nick replies. "Juniper, give me the keys. I'll take Clyde."

"You're not taking my baby anywhere! Or my car!" The redhead shouts back. Nick put his hand down and took a step back. Jay hopped off of the counter. He pours himself another cup of tea.

"So he can have a steel chair. But I can't being an elephant gun?"

"We're not killing anyone!"

"I told you I'd compromise with a Gewehr 43!"

Juniper rolled her eyes. "Clyde. We going to the store or what?" She looks Ive at Anampo while Nick and Jay argue about what constitutes a normal weapon. And various guns were said. "You wanna come, too Anampo?"

"Oh uh...Sure."

Clyde didn't say a thing as the crew decided who was going to take Clyde to the store and stood there as he listened to everyone try and discuss weaponry.

"Steel chairs don't kill!" Clyde argued. He then turned to Juniper and nodded. "Sure, lets go."

Juniper nods. "Alright, come on."

Juniper and Anampo would leave, takin Clyde to the old van. Juniper slid open the sliding door and walked over to the passenger side to open it up for Clyde. Finally, she sat in the driver's seat and started the van up.

"So...Why a steel chair? Of all weapons, I just gotta ask." Juniper says to Clyde, shifting the gears on the van.

The door opened and Clyde slid inside, putting his seat belt on before leaning back in the passenger chair while before looking to Juniper as she addressed him.

"It's somethin' Ive used for many years in the ring. I know how ta' hold it, swing it, defend with it, jump off it. You'd be surprised at the many uses of a steel chair." Clyde said with a factual nod.

"Is is a pretty solid weapon of choice, Juniper..." Anampo says from the backseat. The van rolls down the road. Nighttime, and the city was alive with lights.

"I guess so. But where are you gonna put that bad boy? Carry it around with ya? No problems with that, its just if someone sees it..."

The redhead let her voice trail off a bit. She sighs. "We're probably going into this fighting right off the bat anyway..."

"It's the best weapon!" Clyde cried with excitement as he saw the neon lit streets of the japanese city with flashes of every color in the distance. It was sights like these that made Clyde happy that he left home because no place in Texan had a view or a place like this.

"I'll carry it." He said simply before hearing Juniper talk about the upcoming fight that awaited them. Clyde gave her a pat on the shoulder.

"We'll be fine. How bad could these guys even be!?" Said the cowboy through a laugh.

Anampo giggles. "Sounds cumbersome to carry that around. At least if you do, you can use it to so down and take a break."

At the same time Anampo tries for a joke, Juniper was surprisingly staying serious. "This aint a ring. As people who wrestle for a profession, we've become kinda jaded on what 'bad' is. Be a is like a heel or some shit. But bad in the real world is some serious stuff."

Suddenly, the redhead would crack a smile, though faint. "That was Nick's plan. To get us out here before we could even think of it any deeper." The van pulls up to a brightly lit store.

"It actually ain't that heavy!" Clyde said before realizing that Anampo was right. You could literally use it for any situation! Even resting! Perhaps it was the greatest weapon ever conceived by wrestling.

Clyde however got very serious at Juniper's words as he learned first hand that people and the world weren't always just 'Good' and 'Bad'. There were shades of gray. People were more complicated than that.

Without another word, Clyde got out of the van and started to head into the store before going inside and grabbing a blue steel chair that he had been looking for. "Ah huh." He said before noticing a hardhat above that.

"Uh huh." He said as he got the yellow construction hat and then a long piece of rope. "Uh huh." He said as he tucked that over his shoulder...And last but not least... Duct Tape!

"Yup. Think we could use all these.... Anythin' else girls?" Clyde asked as he lifted the hard hat over his eyes.

Juniper shut off and locked the car before both women follow Clyde into the store. Both women were pretty quiet during. The cowboy gathered up several items that gave Juniper the sense that he was trying to kidnap someone. "Jeez, you think we're gonna beat them so bad that you'd get to take a slave home with ya?" The redhead says, nudging Clyde's shoulder.

Whether or not the two of them laughed together, Anampo would still stay quiet. She wonders why Nick wanted her to come if she had to fight. She wasnt necessarily the best at that. Clyde asked the ladies if they thought that Clyde would need to get anything else.

Her eyes slowly drifted towards some candy. Anampo grabbed a chocolate bar and equally as slowly would give it to Clyde to get for her.

"So..." Juniper asks. "Whats the other stuff for, really?"

Clyde's eyes widened before he turned around and looked at Juniper with a bit of a smirk. "Gettin' ideas are we?" Clyde said with a wry grin before laughing with Juniper, taking all his equipment to get checked out, smirking when Anampo slid the chocolate over to him, which Clyde was happy to pay for, thinking her shy nature was just plain adorable.


"Hard Hat's good for protection. Ya ALWAYS need duct tape and rope because.... Uh... Rope!" Clyde said a raised finger as he explained his items.

"This is WAR, right? Well I'm ready fer battle!" Roared the cowboy with his fist raised.
