Dirty Laundry! Battle For The 24/7 Title!

Tuesday - 8:44 am - Kyoto, Japan - Downtown Kyoto

It was a sunny Tuesday morning, and Clyde Gastin was marching through the city streets of Kyoto, wearing his usual attire of blue jeans and a white T-shirt, in addition to a brown leather cowboy hat, and a tan colored trench coat, resembling something out of a spaghetti western as he walked into downtown Kyoto, in broad daylight, carrying a laundry basket filled with his clothes, as well as the clothing of his lover, Heather Sunderland, in addition to his recently won 24/7 title, which was hidden under several pairs of blue jeans, and long, dark purple dresses. Clyde Gastin was out in the middle of Japan while Heather was away on Friction business, about to embark on a journey he had never done before. A journey called... Laundry Duty.

Making his way inside the Laundromat with a basket full of laundry, Clyde walked casually into the small building and stepped in front of a nearby washing machine, setting the basket down beside his feet before opening the circular window to start stuffing the laundry inside, whistling carelessly as he threw in every piece of clothing until all that was left in the basket was his 24/7 belt, which he soon tucked away behind him as he sat down on a nearby bench.

Clyde didn't really want to be all out in the open like this since he was in fact the 24/7 champion for Tension, which meant that people were going to be looking for him and would try to claim his title. But Heather DID leave him in charge of the laundry today and figured he had a chance at getting a nice little reward from her tonight if he did this task, which was his only motivation. He figured he could someone seeing him and picking a fight with him today with the trench coat and hat he wore, in addition to sitting down on a nearby bench with a large newspaper flipped out in front of his face while he waited for his clothes to finishing washing.

"...Hahaha... You Blockhead....Hahaha..." Clyde would repeat a line he read to himself while laughing at the peanuts comic he was reading, happy to find an American newspaper being sold in Kyoto, Japan of all places. It brought him relief in his current situation and hoped it would help him past the time, along with keeping him from running into another Tension wrestler who sought to take his belt. The one thing that was really on his mind today however, was what his plans were for after Laundry Duty.

Having obtained a large of cash from the AFW following his title win, Clyde was constantly thinking to himself whether or not he was ready to present Heather with a certain 'Gift' he planned to buy her. While he had no doubt in his mind that Heather was the one to receive this gift, Clyde was still hesitant to give it to her because once he gave this to Heather, he knew their was no going back. It seems Clyde Gastin's work followed him everywhere, as while he read his comics one of the last people that anyone who held the 24/7 title would ever want to see walked in.

"Mr Gastin?" she asked, surprised to see some who's matches she'd called, someone who was a champion out in a place like this "Hi! I'm Yukio, one of the referees in Tension. I've kind of been watching your matches for a while now, well I didn't have a choice for some of them since I was calling them. But still..." she rambled on, soaking in the ability to talk to a wrestler outside of yelling at them for rope breaks and low blows.

Meanwhile Friction regular Adrian Kytes was taking a tour of Kyoto, last time she ended up falling on her back but no-more spying for her! She left her video camera at home and wasn't even going to go near the Tension building, maybe she could have a day without wrestlers. "It's such a rare opportunity to talk to the 24/7 champion." ... or not.

Taking a peek in the Laundromat she saw a Japanese woman talking to someone who looked like they stepped out of a John Wayne movie. Not that she was really one to judge but still... she slowly walked in, pretending everything was normal as she listened in to get all the facts before doing something. 24/7 champion? she thought hmm...

As The Ref-Girl made her way into the laundromat, Clyde was still sitting on the bench, hiding in the corner behind his newspaper and hat while still contemplating his complex situation until from out of nowhere, a certain referee approached him and called out his name. "Wah!!" Clyde would exclaim as he hopped up a bit in his seat, startled by the girl's sudden appearance and usage of his last name, honestly expecting an attacker for a minute until the girl introduced herself.

"H-Huh?" Clyde would mutter out with his eyebrow raised under the shadow of his hat in confusion, his mouth hanging open as he tried to speak but was unable to find a single thing to say to this young woman who suddenly started rambling on about his matches. He could of sworn this was the same girl who was in calling the match between himself and Cecilia Northman, clearly remembering how perplexed and nervous she got when Heather ran in on their match and started a fight with him. "W-Wah...?" Clyde would stammer with a nervous look on his face, not really knowing what to tell this girl who started rambling out of nowhere. Blowing his cover in the process.

Clyde's face turned pale when she called him the 24/7 champ. "Ey! Ey! Sshh-Sshh!! Keep it down, lady!!" Clyde would say as he emerged from behind his newspaper and started waving his arms back and forth a bit to silently tell the ref-girl to silence herself, hoping that there weren't any wrestlers around that the Ref-girl wasn't overheard.

Adrian had heard all that she needed to hear with her back to the two... all she needed was a way to get close to Clyde without him noticing that she was a wrestler out for gold. "Hey!" She called out to the ref.

"Huh?" Yukio murmured, brought out of her rambling by the cosplayer, noticing that she didn't seem to have a bag with her for dirty clothes.

"I'm out of change so could you do me a favour and..." she paused before lunging straight at Clyde to tackle him to the ground "Count the pin when i get him down!"

Rubbing his bandaged forehead in frustration, Clyde was already considering leaving the laundromat for a bit to get away from the Ref, who would amazingly be silenced by someone asking her for change. Until that same person suddenly leaped forth and tackled Clyde right off the bench he was sitting on. "Ughh!" Clyde would grunt out as as Adrian swiftly tackled Clyde to the ground, knocking his hat off in the process.

"Aww Hell..." Clyde would groan out in frustration from under Adrian before quickly trying to lift his legs up and plant the bottom of his boots on Adrian's torso, trying shove her away with his feet and recover quickly to avoid the pin, knowing that he was now in for it.

"Aha! Victory!" Adrian declared as the champ went down "Urk, not victory!" she corrected herself when Clyde pushed her back with his boot so she fell back into the bench, so much for the surprise attack she thought as she tried to grab him in a front headlock, possibly dropping him headfirst onto the bench

"Damn straight NOT victory!" Clyde exclaim just after pushing Adrian off of him, quickly and frantically scrambling to his feet after throwing the girl back onto the bench. Hoping this would give him plenty of time get back on his feet and fight back. But this Adrian person proved to be pretty dang quick for Clyde as she swiftly caught him in a front headlock before dropping him head first into the bench.

"AGHH!!" Clyde out howl out in pain his head bounced off the wooden bench just after being slammed into it, clutching his throbbing and bandaged forehead that had but busted open by Catelyn Cormac just 24 hours ago. "Gahdanggit! That stings!!" Clyde would yell out as he flopped onto the floor and clutched his throbbing forehead, visibly stunned by the hard drop on the bench, already feeling some blood seep from his wound.

"Owwww..." Adrian groaned, DDTing Clyde onto the bench may have seemed like a good idea, but catching the back of her head on the edge was making her seriously rethink her opinion. Still, she had a chance now, it was just a matter of turning him over and hooking the leg, then she'd have two belts to carry everywhere. Although the ICW/ICWA Tri-state TV championship probably looked nicer.

"Um...er...One!" Yukio nervously counted, still not sure just what happened.

Clyde would lay stunned on the floor, clutching his throbbing forehead that had just been slammed down hard upon the wooden bench, effectively giving Adrian the time she needed to cover the champ. "They told me this belt was gonna be trouble!" Clyde would think to himself just as Adrian turned him over and hooked his leg up, going for the pin, his face now close to someone's old dirty sock that had been left on the floor as Adrian turned him over, causing Clyde to hold his breath lift his nose up a bit to avoid the smelly sock beside him.

Hearing Yukio voice yell out "ONE!" as her hand slapped the floor of the laundromat, woke Clyde up a bit as his eyes widened in urgency to quickly break the pin. "TWO!!" Yukio would count before Clyde tried to give a quick jolt with his legs, kicking up as hard to break the pin. If That worked, Clyde would actually try to reach for the dirty sock beside him before desperately trying shove it against Adrian's nose. Hoping that would get the girl off of him and buy him some time to get back on his feet.

Adrian really thought she had her first bit of AFW gold... or silver, whatever. She could smell victory, it kind of stunk a lot, like a smelly sock but that was just wierd...

"EW!" Adrian shouted, recoiling from the smelly piece of clothing, trying to swat it away from her face as she scooted away from Clyde.
