Yuki Arashi vs. River Styx - Back In Black

Yuki had stopped talking, so that was an improvement. Everything else, not so much.

Styx’s plan to try and take her with a wide approach blew up in her face right away, a failed effort from the start. She’d moved in, closing over Yuki like the shadow of death, but the little demon surprised her when she went the opposite way and came straight towards her, moving in to her range. That would seem like a good thing, which meant that it would probably turn out to be a bad thing, and Styx’s assumption was right on the money.

”Oh, come on-” Styx groaned as her arm was yanked back, taken out of position before she had the chance to bring her strength to bear. Yuri was behind her the next thing she knew, and a swift kick to the leg made her back and drop.

Down on one knee, aching, hurt, manipulated. Not the best feeling.

But at least Yuki was close now, and in a position where Styx could reliably find her. Hoping to seize what little advantage she had, she tried to reach up and behind her, hoping to grasp her nimble opponent by the hair and yank her over.

Yuki blinked slowly and leaned back ever so slightly as Styx grabbed wildly over her shoulder, trying to grab something... ANYTHING of Yuki's to gain some kind of advantage! Her fingers grazed the tip of the woman's nose, her wild grabs gently sending a breeze the brushed her hair but each move only served to display how utterly helpless this otherwise monstrous wrestler was! She could feel just how her fingers slashed at her, how she struggled for freedom that if she wanted too... this girl could rip her apart. To pieces. Nothing left. She had to remain in control. She had to dominate the fight... Going toe to toe against something like this would be a fool's errand!

And so, she wrenched Styx's arm up higher along her back, severely straining that shoulder and testing how much flexability someone with that body-type can truly possess. She cranked and cranked and CRANKED it upwards, almost like a medieval torture device, slowly testing the limits of the human anatomy. Her face was stone cold, almost tired in a way, expressing the desire to get this done and over-with as soon as she possibly could. It looked like Styx was feeling the same way, given her fruitless grabs at her but hey.... somehow Yuki didn't think her opponent had her best interests at heart during this fight.

"Feel like giving up?" She asked honestly, giving the shoulder under abuse a hard CRANK! "I can do this all day."

Styx was going to brutalize Yuki. She was going to slam her face into the mat until her nose was a broken, bloody mess. She was going to choke her on the ring ropes, fling her from one end of the ring to the other, crush her in half with every single backbreaking move she knew, and shave several years off her career.

It was a hollow thought at the moment, she knew that much, but it did give her some comfort. A little warmth in the cold night.

For the moment, however, she was suffering. And kind of wishing she asked Abattoir to come along with her for this. Using her to get an edge wouldn’t have been a good look, but it wasn’t like she was in a good spot, anyway. As much as it pained her, she only really had one option, here. ”Fuck. Off.”

With a grievous heart, Styx started to pull forward, tugging hard for the ropes, attempting to drag them towards the ropes and grab them for a break. A tactic that wouldn’t work if this was a hardcore match, an ironic, annoying fact that wasn’t lost on her.

"Make me." Yuki countered. And so... She did! Styx started to PULL towards the nearest ropes in an attempt to free herself and believe it when the white-haired warrior attempted to keep her darker counterpart in place. She grunted as she pulled in the opposite direction, trying to keep the larger woman stuck in this place of pain but it was no surprise this girl could out muscle her... Yuki was no slouch... Speed and strength were her realms and when they combined, it made for a DEADLY combination. However, with a brute such as this, she simply didn't have the might to pin her down. That didn't mean she didn't stop trying, however. She would make every last inch Styx had the misfortune of fighting through as agonizing as she could hope to inflict, every step a brutal crank against her shoulder...

But inevitably, the larger woman's pain tolerance bought her a ticket to freedom: A rope break! Yuki graciously let her opponent go at the first declaration of the ref, quickly ducking back a good many steps for fear of instant retaliation. She raised her arms defensively, holding them up tightly in front of her in a defensive stance.

They really didn't have much to say to one another... In fact, it would only result in them going in circles! She would make a jab, Styx would tell her to shut up and keep coming at her like the force of nature she was...

BOY would that get annoying fast.

She's tough, I'll give her that. The phantom wrestler mused to herself, her icy blue eyes cutting deep into Styx's soul... or where one might've been. It's almost as if I'm not making any headway at all...

Pain was something that Styx could deal with. Something she’d grown up with. Something she’d even sought. She could’ve have had a nice, peaceful life with her family and her little brother in her peaceful little suburban home, could’ve been a happy - if unusually large - babymaker, but she’d chosen a life of combat and destruction and chaos. It suited her.

So, Yuki wrenching her arm like this, as painful as it was, was thing that she could endure. She could live with the pain itself. But the one doing the damage, having to suffer it when it came from a brat like Yuki...no. No, fuck that.

She groaned as the hold was released and took the time to nurse her arm, giving it a good rubbing as she stood up and doing her best to force some calm. Styx knew she could take Yuki down, but she needed something to catch her with. Raw power wasn’t cutting it. Maybe some kind of distraction, like…

”Styx?” The referee came behind her, checking to make sure she was okay. ”Are you good to continue? Do you need-”

Inspiration struck like a lightning bolt and Styx acted on it immediately, jerking back to give the referee a hard shove. She pushed her hard towards Yuki, using the official’s body like a smokescreen to block her vision, and tried to move around swing her arm at her opponent from the side, hoping to catch her off guard before she could figure out what was going down.
