Writhing as much as she could within the punishing hold, Chris still had the presence of mind to take a look at her surroundings. Suzumi's hip toss had put her out of arm's reach of the ropes. Chris could take the time to scootch and drag her way to them, the whole time taking damage to her legs.

But there was something else she could do. Something that could really make Suzumi regret the comment she just made. After all, Suzumi wasn't the first to try and break Chris. The Venus of Submission had punished her with various holds during various matches....but some of them Chris had learned interesting tricks to.

Reaching up, Chris placed her hands on Suzumi's legs, while falling onto her back.
"We'll see.....who's really on the hook!" she declared.

With that, using her greater size and mass, the former Wrestle Angel champion twisted her body sharply to the right with her hips, and used her hold on Suzumi's legs to try and lever the other woman in that direction, looking to roll completely onto her stomach, reversing all the pain and pressure of the hold back onto Suzumi's leg!

Suzumi was convinced that she was in control. There was no way Chris could take this pressure much longer. On that count, Suzumi was correct. Unfortunately it was a well timed reversal by the veteran that not only took the pressure off Chris but placed it right on Suzumi's own leg!

"N-no no! Argh!" Suzumi screamed as she found herself on her stomach in a submission hold! Suzumi tried desperately to claw her way over to the ropes, but she had quite a bit of mass to drag over there and they were in the dead center of the ring.....

If Chris was the more vindictive sort, and enjoyed reveling in her opponent's misfortune, she might have laughed at Suzumi, and called taunts back at the other woman.

Instead, she was all business, a woman driven by purpose. And right now that purpose was to defeat the Tsunami. Doing so, she believed would be another step in making her a more tempting target for Hibiki Izayoi, and the other Wrestle Angels, a less likely one.
Using her arms, she began to use them to push her upper torso off the mat, giving her more leverage, and putting even more pressure on Suzumi's leg.

"Don't draw this out! Ask her!" She roared at the referee, while supporting her weight with her arms.

Suzumi ignored the refere, shaking her head rapidly as she grit her teeth. Tears began to roll down her cheeks as stubborn pride alone kept her from tapping out.

She didn't have the leverage or strength to reverse this hold, and her progress towards the ropes was painfully slow. Suzumi was inching her way over, frustrated with herself for falling into this predicament. The fans cheering helped her hold out against the pain.

Until she felt a sharp pain in the quad of her injured leg.

Suzumi let out an earsplitting scream of agony as she began to tap rapidly on the mat with her hand.

At the sound of Suzumi's scream, and suddenly insistent tap out, Chris craned her head around as far as she could, trying to see the Japanese woman. She also quickly rolled back over and worked on trying to disentangle her legs from the Tsunami's as fast as she could. The American had heard similar screams a few times during her time with the Wrestle Angels. They went beyond the usual sort of pained grunts and cries that were usually involved with wrestling matches, and were usually a sign of something gone desperately wrong. Dread overcame her, hurrying her motions as she worked to unravel their lower limbs.

Once free, the Wrestle Angel sat up, looking at Suzumi.
"H...hey, what's the matter? Are you ok?" she asked, after drawing close to her.
The referee was calling for the bell, but paused as she saw what Chris was doing. Perhaps she wasn't an experienced referee, but nothing seemed out of the ordinary in her opinion. Coming over, she knelt down to study the situation.

Suzumi felt the pain linger a little even as the hold was released immediately upon her tapping out. It took a second for her to realize that Chris, whom she used to see as an emotionless glory hog, was asking if she was all right. Suzumi, whose leg still throbbed, was having trouble reading the situation.

"I-its all right, don't worry about it." She said as she took deep breaths to try to regain her composure.

Suzumi was still laying down when she looked over at Chris. "You're not exactly what I expected..."

Chris nodded as Suzumi proclaimed that she was fine.
Remaining in a kneeling position, the American looked over the Tsunami. She didn't see any obvious sign of injury, like a leg bent weirdly, or traces of blood. "Are you sure? We can get people out here to help you out."

After Suzumi made her comment, Chris sighed.
"I think I have a good idea what you expected. Still, despite what you may have heard, I'm not the sort that wants to see someone injured in the ring."

She frowned adding softly.
"But, there are those around here that do. Not every Wrestle Angel is here to simply have a good time and restart their career."
Before she could elaborate further, the referee came over, along with a cameraman. Unwilling to let Migiri or Hibiki think that she had Suzumi's wellbeing in mind, and thus make her a target, she added in a harsher voice "Remember that" as if she had finished delivering a threat.
Standing up, Chris let the ref raise her arm in victory. Giving Suzumi a final look of veiled concern, she exited the ring....

"I will be all right..... thanks." Suzumi said as Chris offered her help. However, her final comment and actions before she left the ring perplexed Suzumi.

Were there other Wrestle Angels around besides Chris, Mikoto and herself? Regardless, Suzumi knew that she had to tell Mikoto of what happened. If there was anyone targeting Mikoto, Suzumi would give them hell before she let anyone hurt her friend.

Suzumi slowly got up, rubbing her leg and taking it easy as she told the referee that she would be fine. She waved to her fans, who didn't seem to like her any less in defeat than they did in victory.

Winner: Chris Morgan via submission.
