A Night for the Birds (Introducing Hummingbird)

Once out of the bathroom,Xuan gave the two girls a fresher,morning-like smile.She looked more...Cheery than normal.It was due to the clothes that Hiro told her to wear.They just gave off a better appearance on the thief. "So,when are we gonna go?"

"Wow! You look fabulous!" cheered Hiro as she saw that her selection of clothes had gave Xuan a very appealing look. "Guys are definitely gonna dead for you!"

Junko would then say, "Well, let's start with breakfast so we can get some energy for the day. Then, we'll go see Mom."

"R-Right....The guys will all die for me." Xuan said shakily,giving a small smile to Hiro.She felt a bit odd with wearing clothes this...Bright.But,they made her feel good. "Breakfast? Sounds good.Should we make some here,or should we go out somewhere to eat?" Xuan asks.She knelt down and began to put on her ankle socks.

Junko would smile at Hiro and she smiled back. "Well, Hiro and I love to make buttermilk pancakes back at home so we were thinking of doing that again here."

Hiro nodded as she added, "It's easy and fun to make. Do you have any maple syrup?"

"Hm? M-Make....Pancakes?" Xuan had never heard of such a thing. "Um,yeah.I have maple syrup.Honestly,I've never 'made' pancakes before."

"Don't worry, we'll show you. We'll get some flour, eggs, sugar, and a bit of salt so we can things started."

The sisters would get their bowls, spoons, and ingredients to start making the batter for the pancakes. While Junko was mixing, Hiro would get a pan on the burner so it could be used for cooking later on. The batter has to be a good consistency so that it'll look as good as it tastes.

Slowly,Xuan sat down at the kitchen table and watched in awe as Hiro and Junko ran around in a controlled chaos to begin making pancakes. "There's so much in this world that still amazes me,I guess...."

--Mmm....It smells good....Whatcha making,Xuan?--
--Not me,Hiro and Junko are making pancakes--
--Interesting......--

Once the batter was complete, Hiro would start putting a little butter in the pan to start making it slick for cooking. Then Junko would use a 1/4 measuring cup to start putting the batter in and pour it out onto the mid-hot pan. The pancakes would begin to sizzle as the sisters waited patiently before flipping them. They have to be sure all are consistent and delicious.

Again,she couldnt help but watch the two move so fluently around her kitchen. "I-Is there anything I can do? I feel a bit helpless just sitting here,you know?" She shies away after saying that,looking down at the floor.

"Sure thing!" says Junko smiling at her. "Just grab a plate and we'll give you the pancakes as they are cooking." She would continue putting in the batter as Hiro flipped the pancakes.

"Hurry though, they're cooking really quick!"
